  1. Oh we doing the semantics game, Jeffrey? You know what I meant, you big meany.
  2. Aye, don't gimme problems benhillo, gimme solutions. Who you think we can realistically add? And, so help me, if you say Jimi Buttler ....
  3. This morning scalabrine said, when asked about Brown-to-ATL rumors, people need to understand the steps. Basically said, if he turns down Boston's contract extension offer, that's when folks should start wondering about him leaving. He's right but that doesn't mean it's not a 'thing' already.
  4. I think most of us wanted Jrue to put next to Trae, just didn't like the cost. On Mitchell, eh you ain't wrong. He would've been the better add for us. But I do want to see how things go for them in the playoffs too.
  5. Man, if yall are tired of Trae having to embellish to get calls ... because our offense has bogged down... you need to pray to sweet baby Jeebus for Collins and Hunter to learn how to string two consecutive dribbles together. As it is, folks key in on the one guy that's tryin'..
  6. I think he's just tryin' shish rn. I don't think there's much use in drawing deeper conclusions w.r.t. Snyder, honestly.
  7. You see, 'hate' means you really don't like something. Am I defining that right, Kam .. er shakes?
  8. "Monitoring" the Jaylen Brown situation? I hope we're hovering around corners taking pics of that 'situation'. I hope we're sitting across the street from that 'situation' with a trench coat on and it ain't even rainin'.. I hope we're calling that 'situation' late at night and just breathing into the phone. I hope that 'situation' is contemplating a restraining order against us by the time we're done 'monitoring' it. What? Too autobiographical?
  9. Just watch them in 4th quarters. Tight sphincters, all of em except Bogd and Trae. 4th quarters are different than the 1st 3 so watching them exist in 1-3 is incomplete information. IOW, no, you can't just run what worked in the 1st half and expect it to continue. Late game and late clock performance separates the elite from the rest. As I said, we have really one guy willing. I'd put Bogd in that category but not consistently.
  10. You're just clamoring for some Kam/AD stuff. Well from yesterday ... "The word fear means something you're afraid of. Am I defining that right, Kam?" - AD Huh?
  11. Although, once they saw the mavs were on the wrong side of the floor, the refs probably should've taken a sec to say "Aye, it's their ball down here." They're not required to do so. Plus, the mavs saw where it went out. And it sure wasn't on the other end of the floor. Blame is on them. This looked like DAL tryna big-boy the refs like, "I know it's our ball so we gonna stay down here." And it backfired. To be clear, the refs suck. But this wasn't their fault. Adam Sliver's NBA folks. Trash commissioner. I'm cool with being in on all the social initiatives, but that ain't his job. I feel like he's too focused on that end of things, to the absolute and total detriment of the product. And, don't get me wrong, I truly GAF about players' mental health and empowerment. But if you put too much focus on that, you lose sight of why we (the fans that are footing the bill) are here.
  12. They're playing chess, not checkers macd. They have no choice but to call clear contact. They just hate that he puts them in that position. Their refvenge is to never grant continuation and to deny shooting fouls if they can come up with any semblance of a reason to do so. When the opponent is in the penalty, iiwii. Plus they ensure his teammates pay the price by getting absolutely hosed and screwed on both ends. You see some of the contact Collins and Hunter are forced to play through? And after getting bruised and battered, the ref just sits there with a thumb and whistle up their rear. I was watching Reid last night lookin' like Karl Malone Duncan and started coveting him for Collins. Then I had to catch myself. If he were a Hawk, no way they allowed all his travels and uncalled fouls. NBA got butthurt the Hawks unstaged their Nix resurgence 2 years ago. I feel sorry for whatever team eliminates them this year.
  13. Because we only have one guy willing and capable of handling the ball in pressure situations. And the reward fans give him for literally being the only one willing and capable of handling the ball in pressure situations is to affix an outsized portion of blame when things don't work out.
  14. Agree on all counts. The acknowledgement of the Bey foul is the equivalent of waiving a hand in our face while the Towns foul lifts our wallet.
  15. Easy. They are there to find justification for the call that was made, but overturn a few so it doesn't look as obvious as we know it is. I'd be shocked if the refs don't track the percentage of overturned calls and collude to make sure it doesn't exceed a certain amount. And the smug admittance to botching the foul on Bey is the cherry on top. They know it absolutely doesn't matter. And they know there's nothing the league will allow us to do about it.
  16. Background, for anyone interested, is the mavs misunderstood a ref awarding the ball to GS and ended up lining up on the wrong side of the court. Led to an uncontested dunk in the 3rd quarter. Yes 2 pts in the 3rd quarter, in DAL's eyes, decided the game. Refs made the right call, PA guy announced it wrong ... but it's the refs fault? Weird. But somebody need to ask Luk who paid the refs for this no-call ...
  17. He got punished for the Van Vleet stuff but they still have him head-reffing. You can't make this stuff up. The other two took his lead and that's not a compliment. They need to sit him. Tonight was embarrassing to the point where an investigation needs to happen.
  18. Fair or foul, the guy clearly got demoted or admonished due to the FVV situation. If they found he was abusing his power to enact some personal vendetta against a player, WHY IS HE THE LEAD OFFICIAL OF ANY GAME? Makes no sense. None. And the result you see tonight illustrates why. He, and by extension 'they', were clearly out of sorts all night. Naz Reid kilt whoever was guarding him with his effort, aggression, and the fact that he was allowed to shuffle his feet every time he touched the ball (before dribbling). They missed a couple travels on Bey. And Trae got a couple questionable foil calls and they committed the ultimate cardinal sin and awarded him continuation not once but twice. And once on a 3, no less! And can we talk about NAW hopping up and down, clapping at the refs ... on multiple occasions... and getting no T? Should we even bother to talk about the Towns hook and takedown on Collins? Yes Collins fouled him, but he didn't throw himself off balance. The hook ... which is such an elementary call it's mind-boggling they tried to sell us that it didn't happen ... was the first "illegal contact". And how TF did MIN "win" their challenge? Not only did they win it, they topped it off by granting continuation! It was a comedy of errors. Ok @bleachkit, where do I stand on my ref rant? Yes I'm doing it after a loss, but they were bad all the way around and I was fair in acknowledging it. What say you?
  19. These games are just pre-training camp so I don't even get too mad anymore. This year is sunk cost but will benefit us greatly next year.
  20. Hunter ain't ready for that kinda shot.
  21. "It's gonna be a no from me, dawg." - Adam Sliver
