This is a possibility but all rumors are that Dallas will take him if Bamba or Doncic is off the board. He might be there at 8 or 10 but don't count it. The faller could be Young but I was told he got a promise from Chicago

Aye am I crazy to think the SAC contingent's poorly-hidden/not-hidden Doncic visit was smoke akin to DAL's smoke last year with Ntilikina.

I don't think they're taking him at all.

It still blows me away that a player who has a limited skill set and can’t defend anyone is so wanted by Hawks fans. Bagley should be about the 8th player on the board.

It pains me to say I agree with you, KBT.  Sorry but Bagley's #1 skill is effort.  Unfortunately, he's now going into a league where everybody (worth a dang) plays with effort.  They also are capable of exploiting him on defense.

I get that he, at times, showed a couple dribble moves and a jumpshot here and there but he made a living by out-athleteing guys which could get him numbers individually but it won't get us wins.  The eggsperts I hear touting him always do so by saying stte: "He'll be a 20/10 guy but will he get you wins?"  And those are the guys who are high on him.

Lastly, there were like 2-3 guys in the whole league who were 20/10.  The idea that he's sure to be on that level is laughable to me.

Awright, move over KBT.  Make me some room.  I think that post gets me kicked off the island for good.

No way. Disagree. If drafts were legit based on talent and not bs potential like jjj, Mikal should go top 7 imo. He still might to the Bulls.

The guy plays both ends, he is a perimeter stopper and can bust 3’s on the offensive end. I’d LOVE us to grab Doncic and maybe try to get Mikal. That would be 2 awesome players to start a rebuild imo.

@kg01 Bookmark this thread...or at least the fact that I like Mikal and u hate him lol

He's not a guy that gets his own shot, bro.  That's the line of demarcation for wangs.  He's Middleton at the very best and I don't even think he's that good.

I don’t know how it’s going to happen but I think Mikal Bridges is someone that coach Lloyd loves..unfortunate he’s gonna be picked 7-10.. wish we could grab him as well. Love that guy from the start.

Fall out of love with Mikal, Spud.  He's a player that can be had in any draft.  In fact, there're like 3 more guys who'll be as good as him at what he's supposed to be great at.  That's not a guy I want to see us pick that high.  He's a late 1st kind of guy who's getting over-hyped.

The rumor around the NBA is sizzling right now. Got so much to tell you all. So much.

I'll save it for tonight's podcast.

I'll say this much. Toronto is really open to moving up. Even offering O.G. to teams. DeRozan value around the league, he might as well be named Kentmar DeBazemore. Lowry is getting a lot of interest in the 12-16 range. Toronto really really wants Memphis #4 but the interest in return isn't there at this time. That's as much as I will drop.

    ...

    Girl, Really?

Thas' messed up, SupesKing.  I'm not gonna be able to listen.  I might be forced to join the KBToy gang after this.  That'd make me feel like the kid forced to join a gang in prison to avoid ... uhm, well .. you know.  Now I gotta find some rando to shank to pass initiations.

Here’s the thing.  The same thing will happen when it becomes time to be a free agent.  He’s going to go to a bigger market.  He’s not going to be loyal to the Hawks for drafting him.

We don’t recruit players who ha e their hands out.

Haha, says the school that got outbid for sCam Newton.

    You can't out-Auburn Auburn, dawg.

And, just for balance sake, I lold at your comment re. Bagley the AAU vagabond.  Bagabond?

On topic, considering IIUC Ayton went with Puma too, does Bagley get credit for being ... 2nd in line?

Questions for any of our four draft picks:

Can he score consistently from the free throw?  Remember, I hate any misses there.  Those points count!

Can he run from one end of the court to the other?  Both offense and defense may depend on this.

How is his basketball IQ?  Is he coachable and not a know it all?  Or, dumb as a box of rocks!

Is he capable of hitting from downtown?  The NBA has become, more and more, a three point league.

If we draft a guard first, who will our big be as our 2nd selection?  If we take a big first, who will be our guard we select second?  Will we keep all four draft picks?

I don't think any of them check all your boxes except maybe Doncic (if you believe he translates).  He Porter and Young are the only ones around whom an offense can be built which is why they're all high on my list (some higher than others).

Some will say Bagley is on that list but I disagree vehemently.  Hustle guy'ing your way to 20 points isn't a "system" that helps others.

Heh, there's evidence in this thread that you can still be had.

I haven't seen much of his footage over there, but is he more fluid now?  he was rather stiff when he was here.  Guys like Bamba seem to move a little better than I remember Edy moving.

    Nope.  Same stiff, lesser comp.

    1 minute ago, KB21 said:

If Edy had played college ball, he'd probably have been hyped up as much as Bamba has been.

No, this is just part of your elaborate plan to discredit certian guys.  Tavaras still sucks.

You know I attack with the best of em but I am currently on warning as is he. I stop taking direct shots for a reason. Mods know.

Dude, did you just tell the self-proclaimed 'master of needling' that you're on 'warning'?  So I can say whatever I want to you and you can't respond, huh?

Warm up the penalty box, mods.

    Kidding, kidding.

I really want Doncic!  The dude just makes everyone around him better.  A SG with his size and passing ability allows for a lot of options

True if it's real.  Still, I can't shake seeing Jan Vesely and Edy Tavares excelling in that league.  Shiii, Epke Udoh was the MOP last year!

Not saying he's fool's gold but that stuff can't be ignored.

The fact that they now work for ESPN doesn't diminish what Jonathan Givony and Mike Schmitz do.  I do suspect some agent favoring when it comes to their ranking of Bamba, but those guys do a good job overall.

I don't know Schmitz (or maybe I know the site he worked for, not him) but I've never liked Givony much.  Other than compiling information (which served a purpose and gained his site and him fame), what does he bring to the table really?

  14. Just now, Spud2nique said:

ESPN is a hype machine you said it yourself don’t be a hypocrite all of a sudden cuz jjj is ahead of Marv. Smh.

    Boom.  Drop that mic, spud.

To me, if a person wants me to ignore their draft opinion, all they need to do is cite BSPN in some capacity.

Julius Randle had the same trait.  How did that work out for him considering that he has the same limited skill set as Bagley?

Athleticism means squat when you don't have skills to go along with it.

Yeah I see Bagley as a skinny version of Randle which ain't a good thing.

That's twice I've agreed with you today.  Yeah, I'm scared too.

Experts and NBA execs are high on guys that turn out to be busts every single year. And I don’t necessarily think JJJ will be a bad NBA player just someone that’s not worth a top 3 pick.

Eggsactly.  In fact, so-called NBA eggsperts are more wrong than right.

Suggesting we're opposed to their projections is kind of a complimenty if you ask me.

Shiiii, they halfway there already.  They got AH to sober up and post a really stern warning (of sorts).  And you know AH don't sober up for much.

Aye, whatchu think of my Bagley=Beasley comp?
