  1. I don’t think it’s a white thing so much as it’s a Grayson Allen’s an a$$hole thing. The guy literally stuck his feet out on many occasions to try and trip/injure people. I don’t care if you’re white, black or purple, you pull that on the court you better be ready for someone to get in ur face quick. That’s a no no. He will I’ll also take away your landing space on a jump shot ala Bruce Bowen on Vince Carter some years back.
  2. Lol...I think he dunked on an 8 year old ...what the..i never noticed that. Oh my..
  3. I’ve been with Mikal since day one as well @JTB just in another...well home if you will.. I loved him with Bud...still like him a lot and would fit coach Lloyd’s defensive philosophy to a T but I think we are gonna stay put and select at #3 and he will go at #5 at the earliest. My dream is to land a stud at 3 (Bagley Bamba Porter) and Mikal at 7-10 via trade but unlikely. (A guy can dream)...
  4. Ya he’s a punk but he tested out athletically which compares to a Mike Miller lite in my eyes. Miller was one pick before us in the 2000 draft, we had 6th...ugh..I remember I was studying the draft via a newspaper..yes I realize the internet was available but I was going to Vegas and cell phones weren’t as good. I wanted Mike Miller. I’ll take Grayson at 30. He’ll be my Laimbeer on the Hawks in the 80’s...if he’s in the league, let his cheap a$$ be on your side philosophy on this one. ps I met Alexandra Paul from baywatch at the airport in Vegas.
  5. I don’t think we get a shot at Luka. He is either going 1st or 2nd. Lot of smokescreen but don’t be fooled. Vlade looooooves him. For any of you that watches Divac and other Euros, they pass with flare and love each other’s game. Lol. He’s not slipping past the Kings at 2. I like Bagley, Bamba and Porter. Bagley has the ability to put the ball in the basket a numerous amount of ways, he’s a generational talent. He’s been good since 2013 really. Bamba is a freak, you can’t teach size, also the guy sounds super mature for his age. He has a prototypical NBA body. He would be a top 5 physically intimating player in the league right away along with Lebron, Giannis etc. Last but not least, Porter can put the ball on the floor and has silky smooth shot as well as some nifty moves to the hole. He has star written all over him.
  6. Here we go....I think the convo went like this... Lloyd: Welcome...sit down. Look you don’t play D I gotta get rid of you. Dennis: Coo, but send me to Indy or Milwauk... Lloyd: (Slams door)...
  7. How are we going to know when you go senile?
  8. Thank you BenHill, Well to be fair, Porter is @kg01‘s boy. They went on several dates this year (after MPJ was done doing the entire east and west side of the Washington state cheerleading squads) and Porter indicated to kg that his back was ok. (Kg wanted to double check and said he didn’t believe Porter so they went back to his pad for a checkup). After breakfast the next day, news broke out that MPJ’s back won’t be an issue moving forward. Ps This story was also confirmed by @NBASupes and his Bagley lovin screw including @romebee who never drops in to say sup no more after we listened to his podcast...smh..COMON HOMIE!
  9. Wtf does that mean. No there were softies like Al back in the 90’s (I think you were in diapers perhaps) but they all quietly went away until the NBA became a soft league. BTW Rick Smits was a 7’4” rock and would have destroyed Al. Al would have been a power forward back then and would have been utilized like a Channing Frye in today’s game. Just stay out on the perimeter and launch...matter of fact..isn’t that what he does now?
  10. Wait Porter is smart? He’s got a pretty dumb look on his face all the time. I love him as a player though, smooth as can be. I wouldn’t bank on his brain though. He looks pretty aloof.
  11. Miles won’t last till 19! He’s gone in the lottery for sure..probably a top 12 pick. Pretty funny though. It’s like that Barbie song only you made it Spartans... im a sparty boy...in a sparty world..it’s fantastic.. You can brush @Alex‘s hair..
  12. At #19 I’m taking: Khyri Thomas or Zhaire Smith if either are still available. I see both as having some skill that translates bigtime to the NBA.
  13. I’m afraid to ask who Alex wants..
  14. Oakley, Mase (not not @MaceCase but kind of the same..) and Ewing would have bruised Al up so hard he’d be running to daddy crying. It wouldn’t even be a fair fight.
  15. Hold up supes...back the train up.. SKUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTT You don’t see my Tom Chambers, Amare or Sheed comparisons to Bagley, but then you compare him to Russell Westbrook? WTF?.... As the kids say...Dem bars’ll getcha..
  16. I’m just reading the last 20 posts and you guys and gal have mentioned Ayton, Bagley, Doncic, Porter jr., Bamba, Trae Young, etc. im just giddy that most likely, one of these guys will be a Hawk! Not sure if that’s sad or what but we’ve only had this opportunity a few times in the millennium with Gasol 3rd (traded)in 2001, Childress 6th in 2004, Marvin 2nd in 2005, Shelden Williams 5th in 2006 and Horford 3rd in 2007. We’ve had 5 real chances at top picks. Looking back I’d say we went 2/5 with Gasol and Horford. Lets nail this one! T minus 19.5 hours ...
  17. I like this. A lot actually. Initially I was thinking we hold on to him to up his value but if the Bucks want to give us the 17th pick and an asset I’m down to pull it. I want this even though salaries don’t matchup. Bucks get: Dennis+Baze Hawks get: 17th+ Brogdon But more realistic seems like: Bucks get : Dennis +30th Hawks get: 17th+ Brogdon+Henson (although I think he has another 2 years guaranteed which isn’t the best but he is a value able contributor and makes below the avg. market price for guys in his position). Either way, any of these type combinations works for me. Seems like a fair trade both ways.
  18. May I chjoinn your team coach Bud? Oh please don’t reunite us...(Bucks)
  19. I got Ayton, Bagley, Bamba, Doncic and Porter...with Trae coming in at a close 6th.
  20. Can WE? He’s your boy... I dunno, you tell us. You say jump, Gonzo..haha jk Herr Gonzo!
  21. With Bud on board this question, there were two players that I target for us depending where we landed in the draft. Doncic Mikal Bridges Post Bud I’ve changed my targets a bit. Getting rid of Bud actually changes the scheme we’ve used for 6 years. Not sure what style Lloyd Pierce is coming in with, is it a run n gun philosophy used with his former teammate at Santa Clara and the Suns teams he had, or will he grind it down a bit and go tough D first and let the defense dictate the offense? Since I have no idea what philosophy I would probably want the most publicized guys in the draft. Look, we are the Hawks, since Nique, we honesty haven’t had that marquee guy that the general viewer would be familiar with and watch. I’m going with the biggest potential+the biggest name and to me, 3 guys stand out. 1. Ayton- Didn’t you always want the Hawks to draft Shaq as a kid. Well, this guy is probably one of the most dominant guys since Shaq as far as being able to man handle guys. The biggest name for sure. 1A. Michael Porter Jr. consensus best player in high school for the longest time out of the Washington Area. Silky smooth wing that could translate into a dominant scorer. We haven’t had one since Nique. JJ yes, but he still wasn’t that guy. The back injury doesn’t concern me because he’s so young and he still played in the same year he had the surgery which tends to lessen its severity in my mind. 1B. Trae Young. Prolly the biggest name in college basketball this year. We’ve all seen him bomb 3’s and make passes. To those that think he’s Jimmer, believe me he’s not. The guys can spread the floor, name of the game today. Plus, all the college basketball networks wanted to get this guy on tv. He sparks interest in the younger population and that translates to ratings. Like a bunch of little wannabe Curry kids in the bay, kids in the ATL will be dawning his jersey in no time at all. WE WOULD BE ON NATIONAL TV A LOT MORE! Now, Ayton with the 1st without question, but Porter and Trae are nice but I’m pulling a Celts/Sixers deal to slide down and grab one of these guys if that’s who I ultimately wanted. 3-5 pick range for Porter as in stands and 4-8 range for Trae as of now. In any event, if we do indeed land tha 1st pick tomorrow night, we will have publicity that we haven’t had since...ever. Honestly since I’ve been following and I’ve been rooting for us to get ping pong balls to land Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, etc. it’s never happened, if any team is due for recognition, it’s us! GO HAWKS!!!!
