  1. 58 points in the paint and we only had 34 and once again gave the opposing team way too much time to find space to shoot. I love my Hawks, Lord knows I do, but damn hard to watch the majority of the time. Hey at least I enjoyed watching the Skyhawks win today, even met a couple of the players
  2. Good win over the Westchester Knicks this past Tuesday and are now 4-3 on the season. Culver and Martin had good games and overall must say College Park is doing better so far this season than I thought they would. Actually going to the game in Washington tomorrow when they take on the Capital City Go-Go(Dumbass name). Going to see some family in Alexandria,VA in the morning anyway so it works out.Have to leave my house at 5 am lol so can hang with them for a couple hours before game time, but sure will be a good trip. Will post a game report and let everyone know how it went
  3. Agreed and that is the thing that really pissed me off about last night's performance. I can deal with getting out rebounded by superior players, but f*** getting out rebounded simply due to the other team having more effort and energy. That's nothing to do with talent, just them outworking us. That needs to be rectified.
  4. Just curious and to take our minds off the disaster last night lol, wondering what was all my fellow Squawker's first time seeing our favorite team in person? As I put in my first post here, before Charlotte moved to New Orleans, I was essentially a Hornets fan but as soon as they became the Bobcats I couldn't do it anymore. Not just the name change, but the organization in general, started watching the Hawks and have been on board ever since and actually the home games I did see the Hornets play none were against the Hawks. Anyway, to the point of the thread: My first time seeing us play at home was in the 2006/07 season at home versus the Clippers. It worked out that a friend of mine was getting married in Savannah just the day before we played at home so after the wedding my brother and I went and stayed the night in Atlanta and then went to the game the next day. Not a great start as on our way to the arena, one of our tires blew,so had our car towed away to a tire shop and telling them we would pick it up the next day, we had to take a cab to the game. Putting that out of our mind as best we could, we had a great time, though my brother did get got shot down by a hot chick sitting near us Anyway, we won 86-74 with a very good game by Johnson and Pachulia(And my fellow Tar Heel Marvin contributed nicely also), got our car the next day, and headed home in good spirits.
  5. We can go back and forth about OO and JC all day long, but I just have a feeling that neither one is going anywhere anytime soon. No, I am not psychic but that is just my feeling. OO does do a bit better on the defensive end, but if you ask me who I would rather get the ball if we need some points, then its Collins for me.
  6. That has nothing to do with be outworked and generally being pathetic on the defensive end.
  7. 54 points for them in the paint versus us with only 38. But the most telling stat of all is 37! second chance points and we only had 2. They simply outworked us all game long. To give up 128 points to this Rockets team is pathetic to be blunt. We have simply got to better on the defensive end or this will be a disappointing season.
  8. Yeah Rockets are shooting way better than their stats coming into this one would indicate they can but doesn't help how much space we are giving them. Looks more like a scrimmage than a competitive game.We need to get our heads out of our asses on the defensive end or we will lose this damn thing.
  9. Houston has been awful this season and we should win no worries. But this is the Hawks we are talking about and nothing ever comes easy. Just turn them over, keep out of foul trouble, and execute and we should be just fine. Hawks 104, Rockets 90
  10. Happy Thanksgiving brothers! Last time I had mac and cheese, it gave me the runs for days so try to avoid it now, sorry. Would say my favorite is mashed potatoes.
  11. Might not be this simple to some and maybe I am just not seeing it the greatest, but JC seems to me to be rushing his shots way more this season than he has in the past. Has too much talent and I am sure will all come together sooner rather than later, but that's just my take on it.
  12. Loved the energy we played with in the final minutes to get the dub.Stopped their winning streak and stepped up defensively, hopefully it continues against Houston.
  13. Good 1st half from us overall, and good to see the 3 ball going in more regularly than it has been(Still not great I know but better). Only criticism I would give is still giving opposing teams too many good looks, but I am quite sure Kings are thinking the same thing with all the good looks we have had. Just come out, step on their necks, and finish them off early because they can get hot in a hurry. Also just as a side note friends in reference to the aforementioned 3's we have made.I have taken a shot of Cuervo essentially right before we made one each time, so I am willing to get completely wasted to see our Hawks get the victory tonight.
  14. I do not have a good feeling about this game at all. Do not think we will get destroyed mind, but can just see Huerter putting up 40 plus and us getting lost in transition if you will on the defensive end again. We have more talent than them, but of course that doesn't always equal into a win.Hopefully Trae finds his shooting touch a bit from behind the arc tonight. We shall see. Today is my 36th birthday, so going to a local bar for my party and will be drunk win or lose anyway haha.
  15. Wouldn't want Crowder as our equipment manager, nevermind actually getting minutes on the court.
  16. I will be f***ing devastated if we trade him to be honest, my favorite player on the team and I think he will fit in nicely with Trae and company when he comes back. As others have said, we will never reach the promised land if we continue to care more about the bottom line rather than winning championships. Again, I hope he is not part of any trade discussions this season, but with this team anything is possible.

  18. Tbf with our 3 point shooting woes the way they are right now, 15-10 would be immense. If we rectify aforementioned troubles, we can be a very hard team to beat.
  19. Haha. Well let's just say when he is on his A game, he comes across as so. I promise I don't do any illicit drugs on the side friend.
  20. Tough call for sure, but we beat ourselves tonight.
  21. Well that's all she wrote folks. We simply have to get better production beyond the 3 point line with our guards and need some defensive work transition wise also, way too easy for them in that regard. Trae will be alright, he's a pure shooter and will get back in the groove, but does need to start to gain some confidence back. On to Wednesday versus the Kings.
  22. Offensively we are having pretty good success. Suspect though on the defensive, making it way too easy for them. Even Robin Lopez is looking half ass, which is never something we want to be involved in! Let's go boys for the second half.
  23. I like JC, but let's be honest: He is not playing up not only to what we as fans expect, but to his contract either. I would like for him to stay and prove himself and get some shooting form back, but will not be totally against getting something good back for him either and getting said money off the books. This, as reports have said, will drag on for a bit I believe and at the end of the day we will see what Fields is made of even more as our GM wherever the chips may fall.
