  1. Should clarify and say I watch a ton of G-league so know about a lot of the players lol. You ever been to a Skyhawk game pal? @sturt
  2. They have waved him already I believe? Anyway, he as impressed me this season so far for sure. Nice shooting touch and really gets after it.
  3. College Park is currently leading the east division of the G league with an 8-4 record and are coming off back to back very good wins. Looking forward to the game tonight at 7 against the Maine Celtics. Third in scoring in the league also. Biggest surprise for me has been Lawson(At least in the sense of how did not impress all that much his first stint there).Chris Silva has been a beast as well. Looking forward to seeing them play in person against the Cleveland Charge next month when have to go there for a work trip.
  4. Hats off to OKC, they played their game and we let them. Really had this down as a W no doubt, but again we got outworked. Not sure why that happens more often than not? Good to see Bogi have a good game and get some of the dust off himself, will need him badly on this road trip. 13-11 is not a terrible start after 24 games by any means. But as I have said before, really need to put away teams when we have the chance. We just relax too much and get away from what got us a big lead in the first place. At the Knicks hopefully we can get it back together.
  5. Get well soon for sure, Bob. Always enjoy listening to him and DW,best announcing team in the league.
  6. Haha I know friend, just saying I think we should win by a fair margin tonight. And hey I got to go to this here chicken wing festival this weekend full of free wings and liquor. Not missing that!
  7. If we don't win tonight, especially as we should absoutely destroy them in the paint, I'm taking cyanide. Go Hawks!
  8. Grew up watching him, Chipper, David Justice, and the rest. Not only a great player, but a better person and was lucky to meet him one time. Well deserved.

    Trae

Trae needs to grow up a bit sure, and Nate needs to know how to deal with certain things better also. Not sure why people have to gloat about being right about our best player. Pretty immature imo.
  10. Yes they truly were and it was great to see. I know they are grown men, but still gonna use the word proud as I was very proud of our effort last night. The NBA is very competitive night in and night out, but if we can have that kind of energy and grit each and every time we go out there, we can have a lot of success.
  11. Fantastic win for the boys, nicely done. Everybody played well and really did a good job to finish out the game. Murray my player of the game, but Griffin, JJ, and everyone else played very good also. We have talent in bunches in here friends, just have to realize that in each other as they did tonight and we will be fine.
  12. Murray is a man possessed tonight, I love it!
  13. Fantastic first half from the guys. Loving the effort. Bogi looks a bit rusty, but that is to be expected. Did have a couple good plays. Keep it up guys in the second half, Jokic can turn it on quickly.
  14. Put me in coach! Can't shoot worth a damn, but am dirty and can grab some boards!
  15. Boy did we need that win. Great job by the guys to finish it out, even though really never felt we were gonna lose that one. Hope JC and Hunter are ok. And big props to Culver: Dude has barely played this season, but contributed nicely tonight.
  16. Tough question but I will with 25-30-45. GM is the one that deals with the draft, free agency, etc to build a team so obviously that is important in terms of getting the right personnel in. Coaching of course then has to implement said pieces to make them work together to get the optimal results on the court. However, no matter how great of moves at face value a GM makes or how good the coach is, the players are the ones that have to make it all work or a team will be disappointing on both ends of the floor. No matter how well drawn up the plays, how great practices are run, etc the coach can't throw on a uniform and go out there and do it for them; they must execute it. A coach is always the first to go though when a team struggles, that's just the nature of the business.
  17. Trae is one of the best guards in the league and nothing he has done or not done if you will, has changed that for me. Is he perfect? Well no, no player in the league is. I know this is not in essence a 'Can we do better' thread(Or maybe it is) but I hope he is here for long time yet. Just needs one more complementary piece around him and he will be even better.
  18. One of my friends is a Spurs fan and I have been venting to him about how we are playing and all he ever responds is 'Well, can't win them all.' While that is certainly the truth, that doesn't take away from the fact of looking at your team and their struggles in both the short term and long term. Obviously still time to string some wins together and feel good about the team again, 61 f***ing games left, but if things do not change on a fundamental, tactical, whatever word you want to use level, sooner, rather than later, this season will be a wash.
  19. Give him some Orajel and tell him to man up!
  20. Unfortunately yes I think he is. With that being said, don't think he deserves to get fired right now, nothing that drastic mind. But he does need to change up how he does things or this whole season will be a wash. Have to have faith he gets it together, though he is a very hard headed coach so we will see.
  21. Erm, isn't it up to the coach to make adjustments? Nate is really starting to irritate me with how he goes about things.
  22. I would not 100 percent say that right now OO is a 'bust'. However, for the number 6 overall pick in the draft, he simply has to play better than what he currently is. Would be different if he was a mid to late secound rounder. but he's not. Still say I would have preferred we took Vassell at that spot instead, but that is neither here nor there now.
  23. I guess we watched different games friend. I thought we were putrid again and the amount of points we give up on average is not sustainable for the long term.
