  1. Fun to watch aren’t they. I’m clinging to hope
  2. I hear you. Things may be the same. But then again, they might not. Don’t get me wrong, I’m with you. If they can make a move that improves the rebounding, bolsters the defense and at the same time takes off some of the weight, I’m all for it. But they’re really only a few tweaks away from righting this ship. Blowing it all up now might not be the best move. They can score and keep pace with any team in the league. We’ve seen enough combinations on the floor now to have a pretty good idea of what rotations might work. Get through Dec, get healthy, and start rolling out these new rotations when at full strength. If they can hold opponents to 10 less points per game, that could make a big difference in the W & L columns. Sure, there are multiple players who’ve made my list of guys I’d like to smack with a 2x4 to wake their rear ends up and get them moving. Heck I’m even at the point of just releasing some to make room for Lundy, Norris and Silva deals. But imo, even though it seems bad right now (really bad), they’re not far off from turning this thing around and making a run. I’m not calling it a Championship run…just a competitive, significant improvement. IMO…get healthy, keep the core intact, restructure the depth/bench with who’ve got and see what they can do. Give us a better idea of what we’ve got, who to move to clear space and how to strengthen this team before the deadline and draft.
  3. +1. Could have just benefited from being on the court during a rotation when the opponent shot poorly on wide open looks or just didn’t take many shots at all.
  4. It’s just a frustrating continuance. When they’re in man they are nonchalant on their switches. In zone, if they play big in the paint, they don’t react quick enough to the perimeter. They show flashes but it’s like they end up slacking off and end up being content with giving up a shot. Hope for a miss and that the ball either bounces their way or a teammate gets it. Pretty much handcuffed with JJ out. And unless they shoot lights out, a lot worse if CC doesn’t play. Maybe Bruno will get more minutes now…who knows. Q keeps us guessing. At this point they’re just going to have to ride it out, grind it out until they get healthy. Hopefully they can win 4 out of the next 7 and be back at it by January. I like the fast offense, but…..I don’t know. Running and gunning also gives the other team more shot opportunities. Maybe try to slow it down more often than they do now. Especially when/if they have a decent lead. Work some offense, keep the ball away from the other team. At least until they figure out how to put an effective defense on the floor.
  5. I don’t know why he’s even out there. Between the 2nd TOR game driving in and bricking 3 or 4 layups to his continued lack of offense tonight, I’m clueless too. His offensive #’s over the last 5-6 games are not good. 3-19 inside the arc and 1-13 beyond. I know they are banged up and short handed but how does that equate to minutes?
  6. As many points as they can score, if they could just play good D for a fraction of each quarter they wouldn’t have to fight and claw as much to get back in these games. Too many ole’s and not enough want to.
  7. Every time. Get within 10 and if it’s not rushed shot selection it’s a turnover. Can’t capitalize on missed opportunities. Somebody get big and get a rebound.
  8. Here’s about the time when they get hot, get it under 10, then anyone who is not the hot hand feels they’ve got to get theirs and just starts the barrage of quick, dumb shots.
  9. That’s what I mean. He’s not even out there and it sounds like they are still waiting for him to get a rebound. Much of the same.
  10. Shoot, stand, watch CC fight for rebound, retreat. miss, miss, turnover, miss, turnover
  11. Pfffft. Cleveland market. I’m Blacked Out. Just cut me off. No VPN. UC vs Dayton it is then.
  12. Gonna have to pick up Bogi’s 20. Trae needs to get his + 10 and divide the other 10 up between everybody else.
  13. Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I agree. A very attractive forum I have to admit. Plenty of great topics and discussion.
  14. Gonna half to make a run now. Just checked the freezer and there’s some frost bitten cookies & cream buried in there, lol.
  15. Thanks! You know I will. The kids would eat it every day if we let them. Thank you sir. Seems I have finally found the kettle.
  16. You ain’t kiddin’ She let it calm down for a while then got’em with the VooDoo.
  17. Shew, man I thought they blew it with that 3 and out in OT. That no call on Tee. D stepped up there. Surprisingly, Browning is managing. Not calling it a SB run but good for him. Need those young DB’s to tighten it up a little though. Lets see how this Colts/Steelers ends up now.
  18. UC has some young talent. Decent length too. They just don’t have any chemistry. 8-1 but haven’t really played anybody. Hoped for a better showing against X in the Shootout, but their lack of continuity showed. One 4 star freshman and two 4 star commits for next year. I think the BBall team will fare better drawing recruits in the Big 12 than the Football team will. DeMarr actually lives on my street. Met him and Kenny Satterfield a few years ago when we had a Halloween block party in the cul de sac. He rents his house out now since he went to WV.
  19. Thanks. I lived down there in Radcliff for a while when I was young. My dad was in the Army at Ft. Knox. I’m a UC Bearcat fan, but my dad was (and still is) a huge Cardinal fan. I grew up in a Louisville Cardinal house watching guys like Milt Wagner, Billy Thompson, Herb Crook, Kenny Payne, Pervis Ellison, LaBradford Smith, etc… Who Dey!
  20. Hey ya’ll. Long time Hawks fan. Grew up in the 80’s and 90’s. Fell out of love with the NBA for a little while through the 2010’s. Have been getting back into it over the last 5 years or so. 46, been a Hawks fan since I was 9. Recently stumbled across this site a couple of days ago. Browsed a few threads and decided to join. Not too many Hawks fans up here in my neck of the woods. Seems like a respectful place with a host of informed fans here. Whether it’s intelligent conversation or opinionated banter/chatter, I’m looking forward to the discussion. GO HAWKS!
