  1. I was going to go with free throws and points off turnovers. But I’ll stick with It’s a miracle. Playin’ like a bunch of Bull Durham lolly gaggers.
  2. I was going to say earlier that DJ looks like he’s playing with a little more pep in his step. But man they look sluggish now.
  3. It’s not pretty. Tossing passes out of bounds. Long passes down court intercepted. Strips and takeaways.
  4. You ain’t kiddin’ “We’ve been duped”!!!
  5. PATH OF THE INFILTRATOR September 2016: Landry Fields named as college scout for San Antonio Spurs. September 2019: Promoted to GM of Austin Spurs, San Antonio Spurs G League affiliate. October 2020: Named Hawks Assistant GM. June 2022: Promoted to Hawks GM. Sends 3 first round draft picks to San Antonio Spurs. Present Day: Rumors circulating that either Dejounte Murray or Trae Young may be traded to San Antonio Spurs.
  6. Nets? Finney-Smith? Claxton?
  7. Samanic is just sitting on Utah’s bench and they have a ton of picks. I wonder if Ainge would be interested in DJM? Could take Olynyk off his hands now. Make him feel like he got a good return. See if he’d throw in Samanic and 2 FRP’s. If Olynyk ends up signing with another team after the season, so be it. Everybody’s still content. Ainge gets his PG. Hawks get a young, tall, athletic, “unproven” player that fits the mold of what Quinn is looking for along with a few picks.
  8. That’s what I’m sayin’. I wish Q would change his role. We shoot a lot of 3’s when nobody’s under the basket. Nobody to rebound. As many as he takes and misses, it’s just like handing the ball back to the other team. It’s time to end the “Don’t worry Saddiq, they’ll start to fall sooner or later” pep talk. Instead, somebody needs to show him the 3 chart that @TheNorthCydeRises posted the other day and tell him, “Yo, Saddiq…take a step in babe”. He’s aggressive and can handle himself at the rim. He might not finish as often as we’d like there either (we all know they miss a ton of putbacks) but he could pick his game way up imo if he played mid and in and attacked the rim. Could be a nice compliment to everybody else’s game to have another aggressive scorer to go along with the outside shooters. LOL at driving to Ressler’s house.
  9. I wish Q would tell Bey to cut back on the 3 attempts and start driving to the basket more. OK to take a few but leave the barrage of 3’s to everybody else. Take the lane and get your 2. If they challenge you, draw contact and get to the line. At the minimum it could at least contribute to getting the other team in foul trouble or create better shots for everybody else. I don’t know. I just feel like this group lacks athletic finishers. Leave the finesse to the guards. He’s physical enough and the team could possibly benefit from him attacking the rim more often like JJ.
  10. Reminds me of why I don’t play golf. The closer I get, the worse I get.
  11. I hope there isn’t a let down with all this trade chatter. Put the game face on and take it to these chumps. Time to run it back.
  12. Koloko…. He’s been out all year. Dealing with some respiratory illness. Last I read, he was resuming lite activity. True, something like this that has kept him out for this long is both strange and concerning. It would be a risk now, but if the Docs evaluate him and think he will be able to recover and return to form, it might be worth it. Even if he doesn’t play this year. I just thought that “if” they did the PS rental (or any TOR deal that includes PS or not), why not try to include Koloko? They’d still have a potential 7’ piece for next season that could end up paying off. If this illness lingers and it doesn’t pan out, oh well, doesn’t break the bank.
  13. I would rather take a chance at Christian Koloko from TOR before Wiggins. Might be a little risk there, but still a young big with nice upside. I’m not sure if there is a path including Hunter without doing the Pascal rental though. If they go that route, would be nice to get Koloko too. Move on from Pascal later, keep Koloko.
  14. Needs to just go up instead of the power dribble. Might get the quick basket and avoid a trip to the line. Or get an and 1…get 2 points and the missed free throw won’t hurt as much.
  15. His shots aren’t falling…he’s not getting calls…he feels things aren’t going his way. Tech Trae has now entered the game.
  16. He hit that first unbalanced shot early….rattled in. I thought that would be the one to set him off tonight.
  17. Bogi came to play today. All over the place
  18. 5 in a row here. Chance to flip it.
  19. Nothing written specifically mentioning the offer. I don’t have access on any credible info like you guys may have. I just read articles and watch video podcasts and read the comments to see what the fanbases are saying. Like here on this forum or any other forum. Not knowing if the info is fact or opinion or just biased (no offense…) I read this article on Celtics Wire: https://celticswire.usatoday.com/2024/01/05/nba-boston-celtics-bey-yes/ Watched the video then read the comments…fully aware that they might not be true or credible. Some person just spewing off at the mouth or somebody privy to instead info. Who knows. Either way, taken with a grain of salt, still sparks curiosity. Edit…comment about the offer was in first comments of the video. Not sure if it holds any weight. Maybe you guys have ways of finding out.
