I don’t know about Zion. I’m 50/50, leaning 40/60. It would be fun to watch, can’t deny that. But as much as we’ve dealt with Dre being injured, I’d hate to go through all this trade drama and end up right back where we started again. Seems like too much of a risk/gamble at this time. Never know though I guess. Maybe it would pan out. Still makes me nervous.

There’s a good chance it’s just for these two West coast games. Take the time to stay home, rest and heal up a bit. Hopefully he’ll be available for the Friday Mavs game. 6 game home stand end of Jan beginning of Feb.

Sure, what a thrill and what an opportunity, but the constant back and forth has got to be mentally exhausting for these guys. Especially once they realize they’re only there to dress and fill out the bench. Only getting on the floor if, if, if and if. AJ extended and dressing. Lundy dressing. KB doing the back and forth now. All while the team seems to be treading water in a state of uncertainty. On a scale of 1 thru 10, where do you think the mercury settles on the ‘ol morale meter?

I’m no conspiracy theorist, but this whole regime from the top down just seems off. Orders from above, perks and kickbacks or something. Something’s afoot.

They bumped up Korver to call Q on the beach. First guy they talked to. Probably the only guy for all we know. Went from sippin’ Mojitos on the beach one minute to shopping online at Lens Crafters the next. First order of business was trying to figure out which frames were gonna color coordinate best with his new outfit. Pffft. 8 mil a year? If that guy was playing with my money, we’d be having a talk.

Maybe we don’t have the whole scoop, but it’s baffling to me that Q hasn’t shook it up more than he has up to this point. Seems content on rolling with the same ‘ol same ‘ol. Now I’ll contradict myself a little here and say he did kind of do that last night with Trae being out and the extended minutes of those off the bench. So there’s that. And I get it, he’s playing the cards he was dealt. But some of the hands he’s been laying down are just flat out bewildering. I don’t know if he’s in a tug of war with the FO and doing it intentionally until he gets his way with this team or what? I know he sees it. I can only compare it to a movie with a guy flying a jet through a canyon. They make you think he’s going Mach whatever. Tight corners and narrow passes. Then suddenly he’s starring at the canyon wall coming up. It’s dead ahead. He’s flying straight at it. He’s running out of time. Alarms are going off. The dramatic music kicks in and the moment becomes intense. He’s thinking of what to do. Meanwhile….I’m sitting on the couch and yelling at the TV, “Pull up dumb_ _ _!!! Pull up”!!! Sigh. 3 game win streak and here I am ranting. Ugh. Carry on.

Offense was cruising in the 1st when DJ was bringing it up every time. Been erratic ever since.

I think this is the First time this group has been on the floor since they subbed in the 1st. Last 3-4 minutes in the half.

All this is reaching ludicrous speed. Keeps spiraling further and further down the rabbit hole. Screw it. Keep them both and claw through this mess. Not working together? Tough chit. Figure it out. Make it work. Trade CC, 12 and Bey. Get whatever they can get. Players, 2nds, $$$…whatever. Get Bufkin up here and give him and AJ minutes the rest of the year. Nail the draft. Reevaluate our position.

Not to mention the multiple losing seasons KAT has endured. Finally have something brewing and it’s, “Thanks for sticking around kid. Good luck out there”. Talk about a slap in the face. That’s how the cookie crumbles though I guess.

And if they did dip into the 2nd apron, they wouldn’t have to pay the penalty until the end of that season. So they could buy some time….(waiting at least until that years trade deadline)…to figure out how to either get some relief and go back under or come up with a solution on how to pay it. Is that right?

At ease bro. I don’t want him either. Would rather have a big with a broader offensive skill set. The question was asking his opinion on whether he thought they would take him if he’s there. Not “should they take him”. You know the draft track record. Not too hard to imagine them taking him if he falls. Another +7’ glass cleaning / rim protecting, paint scorer on a RC.
-
Some mocks looking like Clingan might still be in the ballpark around our first pick. You think they take him if he’s there?
-
Wouldn’t shock me. But he has to obviously know that Trae and DJ are the 1 + 2. And both Mat(t)’s and Forest are getting time on the floor. His # isn’t even getting called. Someone mentioned in the Trade thread that it was something personal between him and Q. Not sure if that conversation started out like the one in this Clip or not though.
