Regressing back to old bad habits on defense. Get Bruno and maybe even Kobe back in there.

It doesn't look like Quin and DJ have an issue. Maybe whatever rift they had was resolved behind closed doors.

He's doing a good job on switches. BTW, Kobe makes play after play on defense. He's impacting the game without scoring.

Cap looks done. Maybe he came back from his injury too soon after OO went down?

AJ getting his mojo back is a ray of light in a pretty frustrating season. He scored 21 with no free throws and clearly has his shooting touch back:

Trae Young: Surgery on injured finger - Reevaluated in 4 weeks!
hawkman replied to JayBirdHawk's topic in Homecourt
I think he may have hurt his hand before the All Star break if I remember correctly. He hasn't been as aggressive since. The team was begging to be put out of its misery and this will pretty much allow them to lay down. Either way, it's time to focus on player development. The one positive out of this is we will get to see how Kobe looks against NBA competition and maybe get AJ back in the rotation. -
Another bad loss during a stretch of games that was supposed to get the Hawks back into the Playoff race. 3 games thrown away. SMH.

They looked tired before the All Star break. They had the entire All Star break off and they still look tired. I don't get how they could look so good during the winning streak and just fall apart. Is OO that critical?

Can't trade basket when you're down 9 guys. Gotta get some stops.

No reason to go small for extended minutes with Bruno available Igor.

I don't think AJ is that type of person from what we've seen of him so far. The game aired live on YouTube yesterday afternoon and AJ didn't look disgruntled or anything. He was actually playing well before he went down.

That's all I ask. Just play league average defense through 4 quarters for the rest of the season. The offense is more than enough to be in contention for the 6th seed and beyond.

Wes can still defend some and hit the occasional open 3. I like Patty, but Wes can still defend the SF position in an emergency.

Kobe's defense alone fills an immediate need for the Hawks. Kobe and Forrest are the best defenders in the Hawks' backcourt and Forrest is pretty much unavailable at this point. Kobe needs to be on the court in place of Garrison.

The Hawks still have an opportunity to at least move up in the Play In. 8th - 6th seed is a pipe dream at this point. I'm counting ~14-15 potential wins remaining. They may steal one or two against a better team, but they are guaranteed to lose games they have no business losing as well. The last two games against Chicago and Charlotte were tough to watch. 1. 14-13 2. Play In, most likely 10th possibly 9th. I just want the Hawks to show some fight and make the postseason. Edit: 3. Absolutely YES to the Playoffs. Anything can happen with Trae healthy. The Celtics series went to 6 last season even after DJ got himself suspended.

Both he and Jokic's dunks/dunk attempts were hilarious though.
