Hopefully we don't lose if Trae plays because everyone will talk about how we are better without him. I kind of want him to sit one more game anyway b/c we are on a B2B and would be great for him to have fresh legs tomorrow.

Getting to the line stops momentum. You win playoff games by not letting your opponent go on huge runs. When you don't get to the line this can happen. People with these ridiculous takes just don't understand that. DJM had a great game against the Bucks, but he scored 22 points on 22 shots. Sorry that's not elite. I love Murray and everything he brings to the table, but we need Trae especially in the playoffs.

It's like people have never watched playoff basketball before. You need players who can get buckets on the road, to stop momentum, or when the rest of the team is shaky and nervous b/c of the atmosphere, or someone who can get to the FT line for points. Trae does all of that. He DRAGGED us to the ECF without Hunter or Bogi being healthy. Even the game 7 against Philly where he was so "bad", he made the big shots and FTs down the stretch to win us that game. He is a closer. Grizz should trade Ja b/c they are better without him, Hawks should trade Trae, Mavs should trade Luka, etc it's just dumb. Some ppl even said the Bucks were better without Giannis 2 years ago b/c he got injured against us and they won the final 2 games without him, then lost the first 2 against PHX when he returned. Teams can get up for one game or a week of games without their star. Sustaining that over an entire season is a completely different story. And in the playoffs it's COMPLETELY different.

Was so great to see AJ do this last night though. Dude has wiggle, he isn't just a shooter. He was faking ppl out, had a few nice hesi's and just overall knows how to get his shot off with balance. He has real potential as a scorer. For JJ I never knew what kind of player he was or his skillset since we have so little film of him at Duke and ATL. It's great to see that he could be kind of like the do it all guy and stuff the stat sheet. I've been highly critical of our lack of depth and trading Huerter for a pick, this game made me feel a LOT better if AJ/JJ continue playing well. That being said, it's only one game.

1000%. Trading anyone in the rotation for a pick right now makes zero sense. We are in win now mode, why would we do that? AJ is in the first year of his rookie deal.

Holy SHHH, this bench lineup has been nuts tonight

Gotta give respect to AJ. Did not expect him to contribute this year.

This is where Trae would really make a difference. Milwaukee was in the bonus with 8 min left. Trae would've had 10 free throws this Q

Why is JJ guarding Giannis with OO IN THE GAME?

No way they stay this hot. So tired of teams draining 3s against us.

We have a lot of talent, but we also have a lot of issues. We lost SO much depth from last year (Gallo/Huerter/Wright/Reddish/LouWill/Dieng), and really only gained Murray. Everything else was a downgrade. We also got smaller and Capela is worse. Any injury to any of our top 5-6 guys is going to be detrimental. We can't stomach any injuries. Last year we could at least manage if 1-2 guys are out, but not now. If Trae or Murray goes out, who is backup PG? A. Holiday? If Capela/Collins/Okongwu go out, who is our next big? If Hunter or Bogi are hurt, etc etc. I just can't see us beating big, physical teams like Boston/Milwaukee/Toronto/Miami, etc. We are one of the smallest teams in the league AND we don't shoot three's well or get to the FT line. That's a disaster recipe. I hope I'm wrong and some guys start stepping up, but at this point I'm pretty worried about this season.

Toronto too big for us. We cant beat them in a series unless we are just raining 3s

Without Bogi its going to be difficult since we are playing these close games. If we play the starters any less in our wins we very possibly could have lost. Our depth just isn't what it was last year. I'm starting to come around on Crowder, I just dont want to give up JJ or AJ to do it. Offer JH/AH + 2nds, if they need a prospect throw in Vit.

It's not that Bogi is that great, it's that our depth behind him is atrocious. If we had Huerter or even Reddish, missing Bogi wouldn't hurt as much. But since AH/JH are getting significant minutes it hurts badly. We have no depth currently, so the same will happen if we lose any of our starters. We are screwed if we have any major injuries.- 495 replies

Happy with the win, but we have major depth problems. Capela looks washed. He made some key plays late but he looks slow and less athletic. I'm hoping he is just out of shape, probably didn't work as hard this summer since he got the extension. If this is true, then he should get better throughout the season. We lost ALL of our depth. I feel like we are a better team overall b/c of defense, but we lost 4 key guys from last year. Any injuries and this team is going to be in serious trouble. If Trae or DJM miss any time, who will be our backup PG? If Capella/OO miss any time, who is our backup big? With Bogi being out, this means we have to play both AH and JH a ton, and they have been pretty bad. My observations. We need to get Hunter the ball more. He has improved and he can handle some more scoring burden. We need to post Collins more 10-12 feet area. Collins is efficient on the square up jumper, turnaround jumper, can make the hook over the top, or dribble drive past his man. Good things happen when we get him the ball here. I didn't really want to play AJ this season, but after watching AH/JH it's obvious he needs to play. If he can average 8-9ppg and shoot 40% from 3 that would be huge, even if he isn't great on D.- 495 replies

Capela got his extension, no reason to work over the summer. He's pulling a Shaq and dogging it over the summer, it's pretty obvious.- 495 replies

Lost a TON of depth, Capela washed. We will be bottom 10 on D again. Bogi won't help the D at all. Going to have to outscore teams just like last year.- 495 replies
