    We would have lost that game versus Orlando last year. I was concerned with losing shooting when we traded Huerter but over the small sample size of games I think that we will be okay. We are enough of a perimeter threat where is has to be respected but we can really be effective at all 3 levels. Swapping our Huerter for DJ will cut down on the perimeter shots and increase the number of high percentage shots as DJ will take it to the hole more. Trae will definitely need to improve his mid range game though.

    I just found out that if I pre-order NBA 2k23 they will include a 1 year subscription to NBA League pass. You get that, the game, and some other trinkets for 149.99. To avoid games being blacked out would I need to get a relative in another city sign up for me or it doesn't work like that?

    Okay when he signs that contract he better shut the hell up about needing help. He and Beal both know what they are signing up for. Both are extremely overpaid and will ask for a trade as soon as the ink dries on their contracts. These owners are going to rip them a new one when the CBA talks start up again. I think that they are going to have the support of the casual and die hard NBA fans this time around.

    I don't like this move at all. Huerter was the one Hawk other than Trae who showed that he wasn't afraid of the big moment and could take his game to another level if needed. To me he proved this more than Collins--who always shrinked in the playoffs. How exactly does this make us better? Damn!!

    I personally don't think that we are landing any major stars any time soon. It is what it is. Everyone is talking about Kyrie and Durant but what about Ben Simmons? if KD and Kyrie force their way out do you really want Ben Simmons being the best player on your team? I think that someone is going to swoop in and get him. We need to look past KD and Kyrie and focus on getting Simmons if possible especially if they are in rebuild mode.

    Trae is a legit superstar. With that being said, as I read these rumors about trading for lottery picks, I have to ask are we not past the point where we are counting on lottery picks to come and get us over the hump? Shouldn't we be looking exclusively at established/proven NBA players? We are no better than the Orlando Magics, OKC's of the world if this is where we are today. We got a coach who doesn't play young guys so what is the point?

    It's kind of weird how we were able to collectively and consistently replace his production. While our team isn't perfect, we do have guys who can play the game.
