AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The Detroit Pistons exercised their team option on Darko Milicic on Thursday, keeping the 20-year-old center under contract for the next two seasons. Darko Milicic Milicic "We are pleased to have Darko Milicic signed through the 2006-07 season and we look forward to seeing his continued growth as a player," said Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations. "Darko was able to play a lot of minutes during summer league this July and we are happy that he is on Serbia-Montenegro's roster during the European Championships this September." Dumars drafted Milicic with the second overall pick in the 2003 draft, behind LeBron James and ahead of players who have developed much more rapidly, including Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The 7-foot, 245-pound Milicic has averaged 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in 71 games over two seasons with Detroit. those stats just seem pitiful when you step away from the "potential" aspect so many people take on darko. what bearing does this have on us, and the al/darko rumors?

Only thing i can figure is Reggie is gone = New era, what better to represent that than a new uniform? EXACTLY what we need - look @ the Nuggets and Cavs new era, new aura...

Sorry if it comes as a disappointment, but the Pacers are getting new uniforms too bad, i liked them myself.

Hell yeah, Hawks history -- the start of a new era! i still have a trip to the Draft in NCY, and a meet & greet with whoever we draft to look foward to. I just bought a 1 GB flash card for my camera, so i'll be taking plenty of pics. -- when i get back -- I'd love to post all the NBA-Oriented ones.

every year -- each team starts out with just as much chance as the next team....just as much chance to win a championship. that is what the NBA is all about. that is the one goal in every fan, player, and even GM's eyes. it is an ironic situation that MANY teams get put in. rooting for your team to lose -- i cant say that i ever root for us to lose. i love every win, yet -- a win is no more than (as previously mentioned) deterioration of our draft. in recent time, we have come to see that patience is a pretty good way of measuring how good of a fan you are. those who get more and more excited as the season continues and our L collumn gets bigger and bigger it is a sign of hope. things go on, and our loss(s) will eventually be our gain. the laughing stock of the NBA --cleveland, yeah -- look at em now. not laughing so much anymore huh? i know it's wrong to say it was all because of one man -- because it wasnt. but one guy...one savior came to down, and completely turnd things around. all it took was that hard period of time for CLE, patience, and not giving up -- look what those guys have now. it's amazing how quickly a franchise can turn around. i feel that this year is the beginning of a new era for the Atlanta Hawks. at some point or another, losing is a part of every journey

CRAWFORD was the man! wtf? everynight that man played his heart out, and had stats to prove it. all he needed was another good chance to prove himself. you think had he not gotten injured in preseason, we would have such a lowly nightly performance? jeez, give the man some credit. refresh your mind a bit he isnt just trash.
