  1. Circling back to the idea that the Kings actually made Haliburton available for the right price. I think we are really missing a SG who can play some defense, help with playmaking, and also hit open shots. Depending on the framework of a deal it could maybe make more sense than a Simmons deal that guts the team.
  2. We also have rookie scale guys who are expendable. It seems to me that this could really get done.....i'm still not sure it makes us any better though. It sure is interesting to think about.
  3. Yeah maybe. I just remember when our best player was #00 Cap Space, we often would have loved to trade him for a starting player who could give you 20 points and a 1st round pick. OKC gives up nothing. So it comes down to what other options they have for that space as to whether or not they would consider it.
  4. Honestly OKC could absorb Tobias Harris by sending out just a little salary. If they also get a first rounder for their trouble to help the rebuild, I think they might have an appetite for that deal. Philly clears the Harris money and the clears a spot for Collins who spaces the floor nicely for Embiid. And of course we have plenty of other parts and assets to make Philly whole for the loss of Ben Simmons. Bogi is often mentioned, and then there are the picks. What more can Philly want? From Atlanta side it's more tricky. Do we like JC for Ben? I *think* so? But you are definitely betting the rebuild on it.
  5. But seriously, Supes makes this board WAY better. He's an All-Star level contributor here, and he can rip me if he wants cause that is half the fun.
  6. LOL! He straight told me to f*** off when I suggested after 4 months that his Randy Moss post was not aging well.
  7. Put me on there too with a bullet. You think Knicks get better or worse from here? They sit at 21-21. You know where I stand.
  8. If Cam gets minutes in NY, i fully expect him to go score 18ppg on 40% shooting with zero defense and lots of cheers in the stands. He'll get extended for some stupid number and I will laugh and laugh.
  9. I think we're just going to literally feed Kevin Knox to Ben, that must be the plan.
  10. Truth bomb here. He can't fit with Trae, that much is sure. Knicks will probably let him go all JR Smith, to their detriment. I'm actually glad it's the Knicks. Hope they pay him too.
  11. Simmons became a MEGA chonker in his time off!
  12. Good point that our own pick has increased tremendously in value in the last few weeks.
  13. The more I think on it, I'm pretty convinced this isn't a direct precursor to another deal. Just meaning, I don't think Schlenk already has something agreed and we will hear about it in 24 hours type deal. It's just a matter of getting what you can for a guy that you are ready to move on from and isn't helping your team win and might not be helping your locker room either (which is the scuttle from thecampster). That said, we are actually more likely to be able to make a big deal if it presents itself, because a pick will naturally have more value than Cam in a package. We also have two other guys with similar salaries to Cam to include in deals if it comes to that (Dieng, Lou).
  14. You are dead right on this. But I hope you can also see this is exactly why Cam had to go before we paid him.
  15. Your guy really sold you a bill of goods. Here's what he said through you for the benefit of the sweaty readers: Exceptionally high price?? I'm not sure I can really read this stuff anymore, no offense as I know you just share what you hear. But that bad info I'm sure fed into your prediction, which may have been a touch off:
  16. Can someone lock this dumbass thread already?
  17. Hype beast nba culture is the answer to your last statement.
  18. I looked it up....you'd have to wait 60 days to package Knox in a deal. He could be traded immediately in a straight up 1-1 deal.
  19. I don't think it's so much about Knox. I mean, I appreciate thecampster trying to support the value of Knox, but he was the salary that fit, and on top of that, he's expiring money. He could either be resigned cheap, or possibly packaged, although I'm sure there is some sort of waiting period on that.
  20. Oh, you're right. I'm sure he took one of the middling offers he had after talking throughout the entire league (we have it from Woj and our insiders on here), and rejected better ones. da fuq?
  21. This is good stuff. I thought we could do better on a deal too, but apparently I was wrong. If this was the best deal out there, and we know we talked to most every team, then what else can be said? I really don't think we are losing a player of winning value in Cam. But I suppose I've made my opinion clear on that. Others may differ.
  22. Yeah, he's got more value than Cam too. There's not a ton of guys though. It's didn't work out - sometimes that happens.
  23. There wasn't much else to be had. You'd have been happy at the time had we picked Tyler Herro? I mean, he's the only guy I can see with markedly more value that you could have picked there.
  24. You may have an argument there! But i think the trade up for Hunter still looks good and it was very bold. It was a good try on Reddish, and you have to also say the other SF's who were available (Cameron Johnson, Sekou Doumboya) haven't been better picks.
