  1. While I doubt we pick, i would again ask for an older player. Tari Eason would be my pick.
  2. I'm ready to trade any or all of our 2's and 3's to find one true 2-way player. And it would probably help if we had some post offense.
  3. We don't need to be any better offensively. We are already 1 or 2 in that category, but towards the bottom of the league in most defensive categories. Therefore I don't think KAT helps us win. I think we need to be looking at the best defensive options at the SG and PF spots if we truly want to build around Trae. We need another legit 2-way player somehow, someway. For me, most of the roster outside of Trae would be available to make this happen. I think we should probably give Hunter another year to see if he can come back better, because right now his value has dropped.
  4. So since the trade we are what? W W W W W W W
  5. This is the depth that we thought we had coming into the season. I'm disappointed that we couldn't weather the injuries and illnesses better; thought we were better built than anyone to handle that. But it's coming together now. The second unit minus Cam is a joy to behold at the moment.
  6. Gray - do we already have a secret Haliburton on the roster with Delon Wright??? Production wise they are so similar, just Haliburton over the season gets more usage. Per 36 minutes (Delon in first row): FG FGA FG% 3P 3PA 3P% 2P 2PA 2P% FT FTA FT% ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS 3.2 7.0 .456 1.2 2.8 .424 2.0 4.2 .477 1.4 1.7 .806 1.4 4.2 5.5 5.0 1.8 0.4 1.4 1.4 8.9 5.4 11.8 .463 2.2 5.1 .420 3.3 6.6 .497 1.5 1.8 .813 0.8 3.3 4.2 7.6 1.7 0.8 2.4 1.5 14.6
  7. I don't think they could have. In fact, I think the current situation will actually demand another move. Under no circumstance are they going to pay Gallo 20M next year, in my opinion.
  8. Obviously Hawks ownership alone would veto Simmons+Harris. That's luxury tax. If there was a 3rd team willing to take Harris we'd have heard about it, so that's not happening. If I'm Schlenk I'm making no further contact with Morey. Philly is dead in the water and nobody is coming to save them. Let em drown.
  9. Amazing post, too much to unpack for now but I think you are on to something. I mean last night he turns it over twice and throws up that bomb, and that's the game right there.
  10. I like when we lay out our qualifications and then trot out the same argument. It makes sense though - engineers usually can't communicate so well. And it takes one to see it - I'm a 20+ year data engineer at a national laboratory.
  11. I love this. "Let's stop arguing because clearly I'm definitely right."
  12. No way dad. We got a bunch of midgets in the back seat wrasslin' and it's good fun. Imma drive this car right off the cliff. I may or may not be able the get out of the car before it goes down.
  13. What do you mean he scored 30+ twice!!!! nevermind they were in a pair of L's but whatever
  14. Holy hell that is colder than Trae's icy nipples.
  15. Oh yeah, there is the little matter of that. LOL
  16. Showcase for the trade? We're stupid? Take your pick.
  17. Oh and we get to help them along on Saturday night. Should be a fun one!!!!
  18. I don't get the angle of "why to NYK"? I mean, if you don't like his game and future value enough to move him, it means you think he's not helping you win. I want to help NYK not win. This should help bigly.
  19. I can't defend the idea of resurrecting Knox cause I think he's shit. However, we did add value to THJr who was maltreated in the dysfunction of NYK. It has happened. But like I said, I'm not going to die on that hill or even defend it. There's no shortage of value and reason to support the return that we got with the pick, without defending Knox.
  20. This is what people don't get. What does it say to you when this is the straight-faced offer? Other teams don't know that we wouldn't pay Cam. There's LOTS of other things we could do to open up space if we decided to make Cam a centerpiece. Huerter could be moved just as easily as he got paid. And yes, we shopped him which limits the return value somewhat, but if you've decided you need to move on, what do you do? NOT shop him? HOPE that someone comes to you? Get out of here with that foolishness.
  21. Haliburton. We don't need a huge move. He gives you the secondary playmaking and flexibility to play point that people like about Simmons, but without the 33MM salary, the lack of shooting, and the shitbird agent. He gives you a plus defender, though obviously not as great or versatile on defense as Simmons. I'm okay with it being Simmons if we can do it without losing JC, but even then I think a Haliburton deal makes just as much sense and is way less risky. Since Hali would need to be paid in a few years, center the deal around Kevin Huerter. We can free some cap room for the Kings by taking back Barnes (if they wanted), and we could ship them something else they would like. Perhaps Jalen Johnson and a pick. Delon. We have a nice variety of assets and picks for the Kings shopping pleasure. Making this more likely is that we have a great relationship with the Kings front office and have been a frequent trading partner. Grey Mule, get in mate!!!!
  22. Lakers not fitting with westbrook, those salaries will match. Houston and John Wall. OKC into cap space. Dallas is always up for doing something weird and stupid. Porzingis?
