Guest
I would not fault anyone in our marketing department for our attendance. It is our responsibility on the basketball side of the business to put a team on the floor that is worthy of support...when we do so, then we would hope to attract more fans....we have never been a franchise that sells out regularly....unfortunately; but we did have an increase in attendance with the team of Blaylock, Smith, Laettner, Mutombo, Long, etc. We played two years in the Dome and actually did well in terms of numbers. I know our marketing dept. works hard to provide half price nights, family nights, etc., but I would agree that the price of NBA tickets is way too high for most people....I wish I had a solution, but it is a problem throughout the NBA; and we provide some of the lowest prices anywhere in the NBA. I know my questions are probably tough on Pete and half of me feels sorry for him because I know he runs a stressful job,but as a fan it is becoming more frustrating and the attendance was less than 8,000 again.
