Hawks Fight Off Hornets

Before they took the court Saturday Night against the visiting New Orleans (still calling them Charlotte?), the Hawks were out to prove to themselves that the previous evening’s efforts against Houston were not atypical, but a building block for better play the rest of the season.

And, for three quarters, they seemed to. But when the Hornets went into a zone defense in the fourth quarter, with the Hawks holding a nine point lead, the Hawks slipped back into their passive personality, and it almost cost them an 87-80 victory over the visitors.
