Plan B was written off Thursday, when the representative for Ira Newble said his client would sign a four- or five-year deal with either Cleveland or Memphis as early as today.

The veteran small forward had been the second choice of the Bulls in the free-agent market.

Good for Ira...he has worked hard to come up from the CBA to earn a long term contract in the NBA.

Its to bad for us that he is gone, he played an important role for us (not scoring but doing the other things) but I am glad that he managed to get on with someone.

I'd love to have Ira back but there is no way we should match a 4 or 5 year offer to him given our current circumstances. Ira is solid, but he's a role player and we don't need to have the salaries of role players taking up our capspace 2 years from now.
