jhay610
Chillz may have had a great PER but this year's bench works so much better. We need scoring and perimeter shooting from our 2nd unit and Evans and Flip fit that bill. Chillz would clearly not be "the 3rd best player" on this team. Chillz is a good player but his skill set never really fit the bill here. He couldn't create his own shot and his jumper was...well, you know. Would love to have him now in addition to the players we have currently in the fold, but comparing this year's depth to last year's, there is no comparison. If Bibby had one of his patented dreadful shooting games last year we wouldn't have a chance because we couldn't spread the floor. Well, Bibbs just had a bad game and we still hit 12 threes and beat NO. Marvin being able to hit that outside shot improves this team by leaps and bounds. Kudos to Woody to go with the hot hand. If Flip is out of control one of these nights hopefully Bibby can pick him up and Woody will continue play who's hot. Same for Marv/Evans. And the defense! Holding the league's top scoring team to 79 points is phenomenal. David West couldn't do anything with Smoove. That team D is Home-Court Advantage Playoff material. Hope it sticks. DrReality
Woody has actually done some coaching this year and I am pleasantly surprised. Did you see him interviewed after the game when he said he couldn't get Bibby back on the court and then he smiled. When he did I realized that he seldom smiles. Seemed odd.
