Peachtree Hoops: Atlanta Hawks Announce Preseason Schedule

Real NBA Basketball action is on the way and the Atlanta Hawks as expected announced abbreviated preseason schedule for the 2011-12 season. Atlanta will play a home-and-home series with the Charlotte Bobcats beginning at Time-Warner Arena on December 19. Atlanta will host the Bobcats on December 22.

Tickets go on sale Monday, December 12.

The Atlanta Hawks will host their annual free public scrimmage on Friday, December 16 at Philips Arena at 7:30 pm.

Training camp for the Hawks is expected to begin on or around December 9. The New York Times' Howard Beck reports that the NBA will announce the entire 2011-12 schedule on NBATV Tuesday at 7pm. The NBA Season will begin on Christmas day with Atlanta likely opening its season a day or two after.
