Jamal Crawford continues to draw a ton of attention on the free agent market as we inch closer to training camps opening and the official start of the NBA's free agent period. Many teams such as Portland, Indiana, Chicago, New York, New Orleans and New Jersey among others have all reportedly reached out to Crawford. The Orlando Magic also jumped into the discussion late last week although it remains to be seen whether or not they have enough cap room to make a run at the former Sixth Man of the Year.

The Orlando Magic are among the teams to contact the agent for free-agent combo guard Jamal Crawford in recent days, reports Jarrod Rudolph of RealGM. The 11-year veteran is coming off the two most successful seasons of his career, which included winning Sixth Man of the Year honors with the Atlanta Hawks in 2009/10. He also played an instrumental role in helping Atlanta upset Orlando in the first round of the 2011 NBA Playoffs, averaging 20.5 points per game on 43.5 percent shooting from the field and 45.9 percent on three-pointers during that series.

Crawford hit the series clinching three-pointer against the Magic as Atlanta upset Orlando in the playoffs last season. All of the interest in Jamal is good for him because it will drive up the price. It is bad news for the Atlanta Hawks if they were seriously considering bringing him back which they may have given a little more thought to after Kirk Hinrich's shoulder surgery.
