Daniels to Washington; Watson in a S&T?

Antonio Daniels commits to the Wizards - he's no Hughes, but he helps Arenas with the ballhandling. I'm not sure Washington is a lock to make the playoffs.

Also, a Memphis paper is reporting that the Grizz could sign-and-trade Earl Watson once the trade moratorium is lifted. I can't figure out what Memphis is doing by letting go this young talent...

There owner I think is trying to sell the team. They have to work within a budget. I am sure they would have like to have kept Swift and Watson. I am not sure who would S&T for him? Perhaps maybe the Lakers since they lost out on Daniels.

What do you think the Hawks would have to give up to get Watson? Any chance that Boris would be enough?

I would think so if the salaries don't need to be match up. I am not sure how that works for a team over the cap and a team under the cap do a sign and trade. Diaw is a rookie contract. He could fit in well for them. The down part is once Diaw is gone. He will start to show the talent he has. Hawks will be blasted with "how could they let Diaw go" speeches.

That's a risk I'd be willing t take to finally sign a legitimate point guard who's not afraid to be something special. Boris may blossom yet, but it will take something like a new team to pull it out of him I think.

Nice job by the Wiz, because they signed a very good fast pace point guard, and they will benefit from him greatly.
