We see it all of the time in the NFL draft but not to often in the NBA draft. However, it seems like everyone is throwing out trades like it is the NFL. Am I off base here?

Does JJ make up $20 million in salary a year? The other guys can't be making that much because they're all under rookie contracts.

I don't understand how Belkin could operate the Hawks on the cheap. The team is reportedly projected to lose $20 million next year. You can't get to much cheaper on the payroll than we are right now. With JJ, the most expensive year is behind the Hawks and JJ would be a good deal for the team going forward.

Quote: 2 first round picks is huge... even if they are just mid firsts we got josh smith who could eventually be a top 10 player in this league at 17! This year's draft is so weak, most of the picks outside of the lottery would be 2nd round talent any other year. Agree on next year's pick really determining the final word on the trade.
