  1. I thought Indiana uses the trade exception in order to sign Harrington.
  2. Can we use this for the Phoenix trade or do we still have to give up our own pick. Just curious. Thanks
  3. Stay away from Woods unless you want a kid with severe mental problems dating back to the days when he couldn't deal with being in Duncan's shadow.
  4. Sweet. Another rent-a-player option.
  5. He got Paul Gasol out of us.
  6. We had better not trade one of our young guys for a one year rent-a-player.
  7. This thread should be linked to the 8th seed thread
  8. Looks like he wouldn't be part of a trade between us and the Pacers. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2527560
  9. I think we can file this one under bad internet rumor with 90% of the other things we have heard.
  10. The hold up might be that BK wants a 1st round pick.
  11. He was in the top 10 in assists this year so he can distribute.
  12. I don't want Magloire unless we extend his contract. We don't need a one and done guy who will bolt as soon as he can.
  13. He can get the other owners to block Belking becoming the sole owner. The owners would still have to approve the transfer.
  14. a petition that says they will not watch the Hawks or buy tickets?
  15. I thought there were exceptions for resigning your own vets

  17. From the Dallas Morning News: Terry's agent, Dan Fagan, would not return phone calls. Fagan also represents Mavericks center Erick Dampier. It's possible Terry's starting price on a new contract would mirror those of guards Cuttino Mobley and Bobby Simmons, who signed free-agent deals last season. Mobley's deal began at $7.2 million in the first season. Simmons' deal started at $8 million. **************** The Mavericks' other issue to resolve is a contract extension for Josh Howard. That, too, apparently will happen in a timely manner, the source said. Howard's rookie-scale contract is set to pay him about $1.5 million for the coming season. The Mavericks can extend him up for up to six seasons, probably at a starting salary similar to or below Terry's. When players were doing exit interviews last week, Howard was asked about an extension. "I think anyone would [want one]," he said. "But right now, we've got to take care of J.T."
  18. Mike James wants to go back to Houston, correct?
  19. From ESPN's draft grades: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft2006/i...ftgrades-060629 ATLANTA HAWKS Round 1: Shelden Williams, PF, Duke (No. 5) Round 2: Solomon Jones, C, South Florida (No. 33) Analysis: The good news is that the Hawks ended up with a solid player. Shelden Williams will be a decent NBA rebounder and shot-blocker. The bad news? The Hawks drafted 5th and, in my opinion, ended up with a player who didn't belong in the top 10 or, perhaps, top 15. Williams is a poor man's Antonio Davis. Several players on the board, most notably Brandon Roy and Randy Foye, fit a need and will be better NBA players than Williams. In deciding on Williams, I think the Hawks jumped to a conclusion too early. If they don't make major changes in the offseason, they'll be back in the high lottery next year. And if the pick isn't in the top three, it goes to Phoenix. Considering how good next year's draft is supposed to be, this sucks. I thought the pick was lottery protected.
  20. I'd like the pick as well if we didn't have 15 guys like him.
