  3. Quote: Quote: You know better than that Ex. Just check 82games.com, I did. I guess you must be including dunks and tips to get to 70%. When i look at inside numbers i always look at the number not including dunks at tips. But that's just me. lol since when did dunks and tip ins not count as inside shots? the fact that childress always seems to go up strong and finish with drunks is great. id much rather see someone do that and either finish or get fouled, than see a bunch of weak leaners and floaters that JJ seems to love... and miss half of the time.
  4. We need another quality big man badly. Our team goes to [censored] with Horford on the bench. It is a pretty strong testament to how pathetic ZaZa and Sheldon are playing when you take both of them out to bring in Mario West while Horford is in foul trouble!
  5. Zaza does suck. He is so clumsy with the ball and seems to think he is good at going one on one. No defense whatsoever and misses tons of layups.
  6. luke and owen wilson?????????????????
  7. I would really like to add a combo guard to our team who is explosive. Joe is great but he relies on amazing skill more so than explosiveness. Chill does a great job as our primary back up to Joe but he is more of a 2/3. I would love to see a guy like Nick Young on the team but he is in no way a point guard.

  10. Quote: I wouldn't get too high on your horse, LSU has not been an elite team by any means this year either. Every team deals with injuries. UGA lost their top two running backs for all or most of the season but had enough depth to overcome that. I don't recall anyone crying for UGA in past seasons when they have had more significant injuries. Those are just part of the game. LSU has been mediocre this season against winning teams. Their best win was the Virginia Tech win but they have been a play or so away from winning or losing most of their games against real competition. They won some and they lost some. I don't view barely beating Florida, Auburn and Alabama and barely losing to Kentucky and Arkansas as being a sign of elite. That is a sign your games are all coming down to a coin flip and you win some and you lose some. That is not an elite team. An elite team may have one or two close games but doesn't go through the season relying on last second comebacks. The fact that you are trying to diminish UGA's accomplishments and come up with 15 excuses for LSU further diminishes your credibility on this. (For example, Auburn barely lost to LSU and then won their next game 35-3 and then played us. Sounds like they weren't that cold until UGA stomped on them.) The fact is that there was not a single elite team in college football this year. I am not so insecure that I am going to try to prop UGA up as an elite team. If they were an elite team this year they would not have lost to South Carolina or Tennessee. It was the BCS's job to sort through a bunch of good teams. LSU was one, UGA was another. UGA was ranked 3 spots higher than LSU coming into the last weekend. I don't think UGA should have been picked over LSU but to pretend like they shouldn't have been in the discussion makes me scratch my head a little bit. Either you cant read or you are intentionally not responding to what I am saying. I specifically said I am not using injuries as an excuse but used it to show how the games we were healthy we dominated and we should be healthy for the game vs OSU. and fyi lol at saying UGA had injuries... yea great brown and lumpkin who both suck anyway got hurt so your real beast could play.. the fact is we are in the natl championship and your not... and UGA is not viewed in the same class as lsu.. at least in the people's opinions that matter. we could go on and on but i will leave it at that.
  11. Oh and to clarify when I said UGA was not a very good team, I did not mean it as they were just they were not an elite team.
  12. Quote: UGA just got screwed. No actually UGA just did not handle their business. I'm sorry but even though OSU played a lightweight schedule in comparison the big 10 is still considered a major BCS conference so when they had a 1 loss and everyone else had 2 losses they were the obvious choice. The only choices were LSU and Oklahoma. USC gets taken out of the arguement for losing to Standford. The SOS and wins got LSU in over Oklahoma. There is no stated rule that you cannot go to the NATL championship game if you do not win your conference because you never know how scenarios play out. However it is common sense that when you have a conference champion compared to a team from the same conference who did not even win their division who is going to get the nod. The whole reason their is not a rule like that is last year. Michigan very nearly got in the NATL game over UF. UGA is just not a very good team this year. Sorry. They beat a beat up Florida team with a hurt Tebow and Auburn when they were playing like [censored]. You fail to acknowledge that when LSU played both of those teams they were on fire. Same with kentucky and arkansas. Not to mention both of those losses were in triple overtime(not by 30 points) and both had a few extremely questionable calls against LSU that made a huge difference. LSU also beat VT by 40 something. That is a better win than any UGA has. LSU has also been playing without several starters since the VT game and with many players less than 100 percent. Not making excuses but just making a point it is no coincidence that after two such dominating wins against one elite team and one above average (MSU WAS good this year) our team starting dropping like flies and we started having close games.
  13. ^ I go to LSU lol And i think you missed my point of the way they lost was what made it such a bad loss.... either that or you just failed to address it.
  14. why should a team that did not win its own conference's division and got blasted by the sec runner up (was it 30 points) even be in this discussion?
  15. Quote: Quote: Quote: Come on now excuse makers; lets see you explain this one away and blame it on "the system". It is on Smoove and the system. The "system" (or whatever term you use to describe the "offense" that Woody "coaches") allows Josh Smith to take bad jumper after bad jumper. It actually has Smith patrolling the perimeter/3pt line on offense. Why would you need not keep him near the basket for inside play, rebounds and put-backs? There are definitely system issues that contribute to his terrible shot selection. So Woodsoon tells Childress to run the baseline but tells Smith to stay on the perimeter. He tell Zaza to post up and run people over but tell Horfort to shoot fade away jumpers. He tells Salim to jack up off balance threes as soon as he touches the ball but tells JJ to come off screens. He tell Shelden to take 15 foot jumpers but tells Jones to try to dunk every thing he can. He tells Speedy to shock the defense by suddenly throwing up an air ball with 18 seconds left on the shot clock but tells Marvin to keep passing until a better shot presents itself. My response is that is not how it happens. The players play within there personal comfort zones. Some players will listen to coaching and others won't. Woodson and the coaching staff have butt heads with players like Salim and Smith for a reason! god your an idiot. of course no coach tells players stuff like that. however when your system is bad, it will lead to a lot of forced shots and contested looks as well as overall confusion on offense.
  16. Quote: I'm sure it's totally awesome, just like the other versions have been ... if it weren't for the fact that I can't play for more than 10 minutes without getting a splitting headache and motion sickness. I HATE that I can't play those games, but not enough that I will take a Dramamine just to play them LOL. wow and i thought i was the only one.. my friends think im lying when i tell them it makes me sick. like u i can play sports games all day.. halo actually is not too bad on me either
  17. Quote: Hypothetically, if a few veterans were unhappy with Woody, do you really think they would let this information out? To ANYONE? But, pulling a few guys aside and asking them to throw a game? How do you do that? Who gets included in your scheme? Sothron tells fairy tales to further his position on the board and he loves being the "inside" guy. He says he was off trying to verify what was actually going on? How do you verify something like this? Go ask your source to ask a player? After they just came back on the road to win? The sad thing is that if the Hawks had done their usual road collapse then this board would have been abuzz for 2-3 days with this "scoop" that they had laid down and gotten beat to get Woody fired when no such thing happened...and we would have all thought that there was a mutiny going on when there is nothing happening at all. Just like the draft when some people hung on every vague and bogus word. LMAO I am glad everyone is not dumb enough to fall for this guy's act... Picture this...Jsmith comes out of the game in the third quarter... someone on the hawks bench just happens to ask him "hey were you guys really going to throw this game, i need to confirm it for my buddy?" lol or a few guys talked about throwing the game but then decided not to... so they call up a hawks beat writer and tell him to put it on hawksquawk brilliant!
  18. surprising... i thought it was a great movie and everyone i have talked to has felt the same.
  19. Quote: Oh, we're very different in that regard. I'm all about going to new places and just saying "bring me the special." I will pay attention next time I go out for pho (assuming that's the soup you are looking for) and will let you know if it's good! I think I've tried "Pho Hoa" "Pho #1" and "Pho 79" and have found them all of roughly the same quality. One of them doesn't have bubble tea, though. If you want rice/grilled dishes, try Com, also on Buford Highway. If you want banh mi (vietnamese sandwiches), go to Lee's Bakery. For a cleaner, full-service experience, go to Huong Giang, and for a yuppie/snooty (but amazing) experience, go to the aforementioned Nam. These are all, with the exception of Nam, on Buford Highway. Really, everything you could ever want in life is on Buford Highway. One nice benefit is that many of these places let you bring your own wine/beer and they will pour it for you for no charge (except for the extra tip you leave them if you're not a jerk.) are you serious? you couldnt pay me to live anywhere off buford highway, that is one of the trashiest spots in town...

    mmmm

lol that looks disgusting and has to be so unhealthly... no offense i just never got into the whole deep fried thing... but to add on top of that, cooked in lard? damn man eating like i hope you live past 40!
  21. on my last post, i was talking about mike hampton. i dont know why "happen" showed up.. sorry for the confusion
  22. won't happen be gone by then? we will have a lot of money to spend with hampton and most likely andruw gone. i dont see why we couldnt resign texiera and i dont think JS is dumb enough to trade such highly touted players for a rental
  23. Quote: At risk of a couple of morons criticizing me for being excited that Law isn't a failure, I'll say I'm happy to hear he's playing well and impressing the Jazz guys. maybe people wouldnt get on you if you didnt make idiotic comments like law being a wasted pick and will do nothing in the NBA after you saw the boxscore of 1 summer league game. just a thought. oh and it seems acie is having another great game. just had to throw that in there
  24. Quote: Quote: One of the main criticisms of Law that really got me scared was that he needs to be the focal point of the offense to score in bunches like he did in college - but he may not be good enough to warrant that kind of green light in the pros. That does scare me. But if what we've been hearing is true, it sounds like he's done a good job running the offense and serving as a facilitator. The problem is that he's having a hard time balancing his role as a facilitator with his role as a scorer. If he can find that balance and get comfortable, I think he has a chance to be a good player. If he can't, he could end up having a very hard tim A lot of pure PG's already understand that balance, whereas I think Law was focused more on scoring in college, so it will be interesting. Your feet must hurt walking on that fence all of the time! lol!!!! look i dont have a problem with people talking about the summer league, what i do have a problem with is people over reacting and making judgements off summer league with the attitude they know all, and days later do a complete 180.
  25. Quote: Very good news. This is the kind of game I've been waiting for from Law, the kind of game that will really make me feel better about him during that long wait between the SL and the regular season. Nice to see that his shot started to fall and he still put up some nice assist numbers too. Also, it really sounds like everyone who seems him in person is coming away impressed...so that's encouraging as well. A couple more games like this and I'll be on the Acie bandwagon. And Shelden with another great game. According to what my friend said, he still played kind of ugly, but it was good ugly...he was playing within himself and just took advantage of his opportunities. I really believe the place Shelden can make a major contribution to the Hawks is as a rebounder, a screener, an intelligent defender, and a take-what-the-defense-gives-you offensive player...hit your open jumpers, grab some offensive rebounds and put backs, get some cuts to the basket, run the floor, make your free throws, etc. again what do you know? lmao at you... they both are terrible players after the 1st game and now you like them. lol you and busboy are the kings of doing 180's
