  1. I know a lot of diehard fans that bolt to other teams when things don't turn out exactly how they want.
  2. I am fine with Millsap on the team, but it is hard to get a grasp of how the roster will turn out. If we landed Asik first and then Millsap, we'd all probably be ecstatic. But if we don't land Asik? Hmmm...
  3. That's more than I wanted to pay unless we get Asik. Other FA centers will be too expensive.
  4. Misspelled again. Geez. 2 yrs sounds appropriate. Hope we didn't overpay.
  5. Our official team source can't spell the kid's last name right... What a joke.
  6. I agree with Dolfan that signing Korver does not NECESSARILY mean that we are in win-now mode. However, I cannot imagine a scenario in which Korver makes the comments that he did about Ferry with there being any semblance of tanking involved.
  7. Well, I don't think that's fair. It is clear that our chances have INCREASED because one popular team is out of the running. By how much? Who knows.
  8. Listen, Diesel. I agree with you that it is logical for CP3 to come here... you don't need to continue to spout out reasons why he should come here. I AGREE! But that's not the point... It would be illogical for all of these things to happen and for him to come to Atlanta: 1) For the Clippers to bend over backwards to get Doc Rivers for Paul and give up a 1st round pick to do it, and they get the deal done. 2) For Doc Rivers and CP3 to talk every day throughout the process, and Doc sign with LAC. 3) For EVERY national writer to say that Doc Rivers coming to LAC was contingent on CP3 staying and for Doc to end up in LAC. 4) For EVERY national writer to have been told by sources that CP3 in LAC is already a done deal. Frankly, I don't think it is a smart move for CP3 to stay in LAC. I would love for him to come here, but I do not see any reason to think he will do it.
  9. I haven't heard one writer who thinks that CP3 isn't going anywhere but the Clippers after the Doc Rivers episode. Bash Wojo. Assume every national writer is off-base. Take a few answers by CP3 to canned questions and use them to reason that only place he could go is Atlanta. Trust me, man, I would love for it to happen. But you have to assume a WHOLE LOT which seems illogical to say Chris Paul is coming here. Could it happen? Well, anything can happen. But I stick with 1% and think most here do too. I'm by no means a doom and gloomer, but I go where the evidence tells me to.
  10. That was before Doc Rivers became the coach, and I am not questioning his honesty. While we can give reasons why we think that ATL is the best place for him, his actions speak louder than words. After that statement, he became very active behind the scenes in campaigning for Doc Rivers as coach, and it seems as though he convinced Doc and ownership that he'll stay in LAC if Doc is coach. So the Clippers gets him the coach that he wanted (and surrendering a 1st round pick to do it), and you think he will suddenly bolt to Atlanta? Please.
  11. If this turns out to be the case, Paul would be burning some serious bridges. Getting the Clips to trade a 1st rounder for a coach all on the premise that you'll be there, and then back out at the last minute? No way. Especially not a guy like CP3.If you're going to get centered on the hopeful, make it on Howard as he has been very under-the-radar throughout this process. Although I doubt he comes, CP3 is at 1% (on the high end) and Dwight is at around 15-20%.
  12. All the questionable picks in my mind were traded away... This does tend to show that we don't like our chances with Dwight. I don't care whether they are raw or for depth, but you don't use two of your three picks on centers if you think you're getting D12.
  13. I'm sure they were targeting guys that were gone once our spots hit. Next years draft is much better, so it can't hurt to push it to 2014 if they don't like anybody there now for that salary hit.
  14. Honestly, I think Drew is a much better coach than his predecessor as Woodson just says to his stars, "Have fun!"One thing that should be mentioned to Bucks fans is that Larry Drew is the best play caller out of a timeout that I have ever seen... Gets too cute with the lineup, but the man can draw up plays like nobody's business. Glad we got Bud, but LD isn't getting enough credit.
  15. In all honesty, I think he is a very underrated coach. If it helps get Howard (and therefore CP3), all the better.
  16. This makes me want the team moved. Our city doesn't deserve it's own team when fans act like this night in and night out.
  17. $1m if an average of 1.5 or less 3's per game with a minimum of 60 games.Thoughts?
  18. He said AT LEAST 25 points per game. Craziness
  19. Can't tell if sarcastic... I understand not liking the cut so quickly, but Tolliver had 21 points tonight on 7-10 FG (5-7 3PT), 8 boards, and 2 blocks in 27 minutes. I'll keep Tolliver.
  20. Oh, I understand that an internet-based TV solution is ideal from a fiscal perspective. That's why I'm doing it. My philosophy is "make all you can, save all you can, give all you can," but there are areas where I need to improve (this being one of them). The only problem is that I do not feel comfortable using illegal streams like firstrow or justin.tv. If those options are off the table, can I make it work? TV and movies seem to be covered with Netflix, Hulu. I have an e-mail address on my parent's account that supports HBO and Showtime, but I rarely use those. I love my Atlanta teams though!
  21. How was that travel not called on Kobe? Then add a terrible foul call in the critical spot? Ugh.
