  1. This is valid. At 15th you can easily swing for pure potential. We can't do that. I honestly think Sarr at 3 would be a difference maker
  2. You can be upset but you are better than the personal insults. You know this my friend.
  3. I'm honestly more thinking Sarr as a 3 would give us a crazy long front count.
  4. Please don't bro. You are better than that.
  5. Draft board before lottery balls was Sarr Risacher and Clingan. In that order. From both Hawks sources confirmed. Make of it what you will.
  6. I already spitballed trading with the Spurs for 4 and 8 for our #1 pick.
  7. Update: Sarr is the FO favorite at this moment. Ressler wants to keep the pick and not trade it since it is the first ever Hawks #1 lottery pick.
  8. Just me spit balling this: wonder if the Spurs love someone enough to pair with Wemby to send us the 4 and 8 picks for our #1 pick.
  9. Weakest draft in modern NBA history...so ofc we win the lottery for the first time ever. Classic Atlanta. This will definitely change some of our plans for the roster. From previous hypotheticals if we don't move the pick then Clingan, Sarr and the other french kid Zachary can't remember his last name are the names they were focusing on if we got lucky in the draft.
  10. Can you elaborate, if you don't mind? I know you feel he's a sieve defensively but he's not that bad from the tape I've watched. I wouldn't say he's a good defender but he's more of average wing defender. His length really makes up for some of his flaws as a defender. Offensively...he really is a 4-5 inch taller version of DJM. I feel like they are basically the same player just with the size difference. He loves the mid range, is effective there, but has the same issues IMO of not getting to the rim enough and not truly stretching the floor with his three point shot. I'm more concerned about his offensive fit than his defensive fit with the team if I'm being honest. I don't agree he is a negative asset but I do think this is not the slam dunk roster move some do.
  11. What if it was Ingram, Daniels, #21 and the lakers 2025 unprotected first?
  12. I am passing along what that source said. I find it interesting that the NBA at large (that is how it was put to me) thinks the Hawks will fake wanting a wing but will really go for a defensive minded center. I don't see Clingan lasting that long either.
  13. Also heard from my Twolf source the NBA at large suspects the Hawks are going to fake to get a wing in the draft but really get a true center with size and ability to defend.
  14. Tentatively connecting dots on my end here but yes
  15. Mild updates? All of my sources agree that Herb Jones is going nowhere. Pelicans don't want Capela, they want OO and DJ and as @NBASupes has said the sticking point is we want the LAL pick. Someone will blink first on this. My guess is it is the Pelicans because they are frankly closer to contending if they make this trade than if they sit o on their hands.
  16. I've been hearing about serious NO/ATL trade talks for months now. It takes time for FO to make big trades. FWIW I'm mentally preparing myself for BI as a Hawk next season and DJM out the door to NO.
  17. Yes. Glen Taylor refused the rest of the sale because Arod/other guy were going to trade KAT and get under the LT. Taylor has waited a long time to have another good team and is willing to pay for it.
  18. I don't see them trading Herb Jones. Think BI and Dyson and one or two first rounders. I believe the source said it was DJM and Capela going to them. The main thrust of the trade is BI for DJM and the rest is just trying to work out value for each player.
  19. I wouldn't agree with that. Frankly the only thing keeping us going is how good the drafting was under Travis and that landry's first draft so far looks promising. Kobe Bufkin is the real deal and our two second round picks are expected to have rotation minutes next season. What is killing us is our cheap ass owner's refusal to pay the LT.
  20. One of my Hawks sources is fairly confident Ingram is coming to Atlanta and we're sending them DJM. Other pieces are involved and we're getting back at least one first rounder.
  21. You all are welcome on the Sothron bus. I only wish I could direct all the greatness from the Nuggets and TWolves lately over to the Hawks.
  22. So from sources I can't name but trust: This is the first time the Hawks FO has seriously considered trading Trae. Trae has told the Hawks he's tired of this treadmill act. He either wants them to trade for a star and pay the LT going forward or he wants to be traded. I think the cheapness of Ressler of not paying the LT will offset the money Trae makes for the franchise and he will "reluctantly" agree to move Trae and the team will restock with draft picks and maybe a young guy. This, I stress, is my personal opinion and NOT what I was told by sources I trust.
  23. Directtv stream which used to be AT&T is good FWIW. It is what we use to watch regular television and has all the local RSN on it
  24. Wolves are the 1A, remember. Nuggets are 1B. I will definitely pull for the Wolves My dream NBA Finals are Hawks/Wolves. I'll win no matter what. Will cry like a baby if the Hawks ever win the Finals...
