  1. Just so you know, the Hawks are 6-0 when Marvin doesn't play. Doubt it means anything, but that is just weird.
  2. I actually don't mind that Woodson said it... Joe Johnson is an all-star, i'm sure JJ didn't mind playing. I find it odd how some of you are upset when JJ is out of the game and the other team would start to make the runs and get back in it, you would all say "where the **** is JJ?!" If our bench was more effective, I would be fine with JJ playing 35 minutes a game. But for a LONG stretch, Maurice Evans and Acie were worthless, so JJ got the time.
  3. Miles is a legitimate scorer again perhaps. Dropped 13 points in 13 minutes on 4/6 last night with Wally and Lebron on him. Portland is already hurt. One more game and Miles has enough games to be paid by them. I would rather have him than Othello and Thomas Gardner.
  4. I want to release somebody, and sign Darius Miles to a 10-day contract. I guess I am the only one with that train of thought?
  5. Well, not on the blocks, but I want to sign Darius Miles after the Grizzlies get rid of him, and cut Othello.
  6. Why can't Hotlanta express thoughts the way Bronnt does? Rather than like a whiny little unlikeable b*tch? Great post earlier, and I agree wholeheartedly, we have the pieces to be in the top tier, but because of effort, intensity and focus, we are shifting between a great team, a good team, and one of the sloppiest in the NBA. Marvin, Zaza and Bibby have pleasantly surprised me this season, but at the same time, I have hoped for more from Smoove, JJ and Horford. It seems that once one player comes into his own, another struggles to play to his ability, and that is where the Hawks problem lies.
  7. The Zaza over Horf wasn't serious, but rather, should Zaza be getting a few extra minutes a night when he is playing with intensity? He has been the most effective player off the bench recently, and the Zaza/Horf on the court on the same time has actually worked pretty well.
  8. Sorry for the repeat topic almost, I hadn't seen the other thread about Zaza's solid season.
  9. While I don't truly (at least not right now) think Zaza should be starting over Horford, I do think Zaza should bet getting between 22-25 minutes per night, rather than 10-17, as he has been becoming more and more consistent and comfortable as of late. While he has his lazy nights, on nights where he attacks the boards with intensity, I want him in the game as much as possible. True, fouls can become a problem, but Zaza is becoming a good backup center in my eyes. The Chicago, OKC and Houston games are perfect examples in my eyes. Am I wrong to want to give Zaza a few extra minutes?

8,210 to win 13,005. Not EVERYTHING I had, just everything I had spare to bet.

    Joe Choked

I just lost everything i had, thousands of dollars gone on that f***ing free free throw. But it happens. Joe is beating himself up right now. If only he could get me $8,210 back, I would be much f***ing HAPPIER.
  12. Is Horford going to play tonight? As far as I heard he is Questionable/Game-Time Decision.
  13. I've been in hibernation for months, as Zaza went through his flopping for no calls, and getting blocked on his airballs routine... Is it safe to peek my head out and see the light of day after a strong game 6, and hopefully a repeat, with better FT shooting, game 7?

    Zaza blows

I was talking to the whole thread, haha.

    Zaza blows

Stop trashing Zaza, he played decently in trash time on Tuesday. He can still be a legit backup 5 if he learns to be more controlled, WHICH he has done in the past, don't forget that.
  16. Hey, you can't knock him completely. He has the ability to make the guy guarding him look bad, but it also makes him look bad in the process. He is always exciting to watch, and he has the ability to score inside a lot of the time, regardless of how ugly it is.
  17. To tell the truth, I think Zaza may have knocked the glass over after all those "athletic" "moves" he was using tonight.
  18. At least he's bodying Turiaf and Mbenga? AND hitting the rim on his jumpers...
  19. I still don't see the positives of tanking. First off, the young guys (and the rest of the team) are here to play, and play to win, and that is the mindset they should have. Second, what makes you so confident that even if we tank, we will have the balls fall our way? Let the balls fall the way they fall... Who knows, perhaps we miss the games by 2-3 games, have the 7-8th worst record, and we still end up with the #1 pick...
  20. The Shelden pick was terrible. But I am not going to go all-out and bash it, because it is his rookie season, and he has been hampered by a bad shoulder... BUT, I will say that from what I have seen Shelden is one of, the worst offensive players in the NBA. Straight up terrible.

    Heat @ Hawks

Zaza to Smoove. The Hawks need to make a run with Shaq on the bench with 4.
  22. How can you still think Solomon should be starting over Zaza rigtht now? Zaza played the best defense that I have seen him play all year. He didn't give up any easy baskets in the lane, and he poked away everything that came inside. 11-12 shooting, and a stellar defensive effort, and you are still riding Solomon's genitals over Zaza? I don't see your logic.
