  1. “Oooooh, Colin came back! This is gonna be interesting.”
  2. 51-31, including an impressive 8 game winning streak AND 8 game losing streak. I’m hyped for when Murray and Trae both go through hot stretches together.
  3. Been a Hawks fan floating around without a favorite player. Goga Bitadze turned out to be a jerk, so I started my Rui Hachimura fandom, but the Wizards fans were jerks, so I just dove fully into my Shohei Ohtani fandom. Also just been taking care of my parents (dad had/has necrotizing pancreatitis, and my mom had multiple strokes and is now in a wheelchair.) Thought of the site last night while I was at work, and popped back up
  4. The acquisition of Murray has boosted my excitement a fair amount. I’m hoping his defense and intensity and consistency will help take a bit of every-play, both-sides-of-the-ball pressure off of Trae and he won’t be so easily exposed by whatever guard he gets put on.
  5. Agreed 100% that if it was any of us at our jobs, we would be facing termination and criminal charges. I work at a bar with every single one of my co workers being constantly drunk and beefing and this has never even happened there in the alcohol-fueled misery of a dive bar with too many drugs around.
  6. LETS GOOOOOOOOOO, what a number to pick
  7. I like the direction you're speculating in and what you're trying to build, i'm just highly skeptical that OKC would move Adams and take back Len when big man depth and size has been an achilles heel for them. Obviously the Adams contract makes it possible because he is getting paid pretty heavy, but I just can't convince myself that the Thunder would be alright rolling out Alex Len and Nerlens Noel as their only two bigs on the entire roster. We would probably be better off trying to bring Capela over from Houston than Adams from OKC. I would love your proposed deal though.
  8. Ecstatic to see the Squawk back up and running, man I probably tried 100 times to come back here when it was in hiatus. I was lost on the web!
  9. If Goga ends up a Hawk, you'll have me back again. It will bee the perfect transition into fandom for a goofily-named Georgian big man. Even more ideal because it is looking kinda unlikely that Zaza catches a roster spot somewhere next year.
  10. I’ve been watching all the pistons games this year, for obvious reasons, and the key to beating them: frustrate Drummond and/or let him take too many shots. Then, let them shoot and brick threes— they don’t have the shooters. Zaza should be good for about 4 points and 7 rebounds tonight. I bet Alex Len (my new favorite Hawk) eats him alive
  11. Probably how it will happen; not sure any team in the league can (1.) stand him, and (2.) need him for anything. I wouldn't mind if the Hawks brought in someone like Montrezl Harrell as another big. I want at least one real bruiser on the team.
  12. I think Zaza Pachulia would be a nice signing for this team. Let him teach John Collins some goofiness, maybe give him the one inch he has left on his own vertical, and let Zaza retire a Hawk. 8-17 minutes a game (besides game #82 in which Zaza should play all 48) on a 15-year vet minimum contract is just what this team needs. Probably accidentally wins 2 games, but then fumbles 3 away--voila!
  13. No insider info here, but i've become a HUGE John Collins fan. Been watching every game this year-- only right it is because of a backup big man. (Though, I think Collins has dunked more since I started this post than Zaza has in his career).
  14. I was a fan for sure; I think the shoes have to be just right though for it to really be set off. I'm eager to see some of our uniform combos in the future to see what all we try.
  15. I like that he only has one turnover in his last 110 minutes--though I do think some of that is them setting him up to be more careful with the ball--but I haven't seen too much to convince me he deserves the bulk of the backup PG minutes. If he can keep knocking down open threes though, THEN I could live with him out there in important moments.
  16. I'm assuming the Warriors upgrade from Zaza and win again next year. But maybe Zaza can come back to ATL, take the starting job from Dwight, and inspire him to get better and then lead this team to a ship.
  17. Great. Now Zaza gets to be the most-hated player in the entire f***ing NBA.
  18. I'm expecting a big game from Ersan. 25+! Gonna be big to get the win here and move them Bucks back a game. Hope y'all been living good.
  19. That was a triple overtime game too...I remember Zaza played 55 minutes for those 20 rebounds. He did have 0 turnovers though :)
  20. I assume it is Shump and maybe we throw in Tiago to even up with a 2020 pick from them?
  21. I'm disappointed by this, I can't really understand it, and I wish it wasn't true, but oh well. I've watched Zaza fight through legitimate tears and heartbreak after some losses. He looked broken down when we he was on the 21-win Magic as a rookie. He wanted to die when Garnett hit him with that killer screen in game 7 where the Celtics smashed us. He was crying inside on the sidelines when he got hurt and wasn't able to play in the playoffs...twice. He looked into Larry Drew's eyes during that 1st year in Milwaukee winning 15 games, and said "just f*** me up fam". Last year getting muscled around and bosshogged by OKC he looked like he was mulling retirement. He wants to win... BUT COULDN'T IT BE ON A TEAM WITH MIKE BIBBY AND JOE JOHNSON AND JOSH SMITH AND MARVIN WILLIAMS AND AL HORFORD AND MAYBE A LITTLE SALIM STOUDAMIRE AND JAMAL CRAWFORD AND ESTEBAN BATISTA?!
  22. Somebody who loses the FA carousel this year and knows they'll have the cap room and will gladly take a pick as a thank you...Dallas?
  23. Oh, damn... Losing Horf would really mark the end of an era... :'( at least for me
  24. Keep Horf...Lose Bazemore...bring back Joe...and then John Jenkins?
