  1. Quote: The NBA and Lord Stern are in deep crap. I'm happy because the NBA needs a serious overhaul. The refs are just awful, and the ratings are in the toilet. If this scandal leads to some major changes then I'm all for it. And Donaghy sounds like a pig human being anyway. I would love to know which fouls he called in Game 3 of the Spurs-Suns, the game that was such a joke, when Amare played only 20 minutes due to some terrible calls. You can bet some reporters are doing some serious research which will be interesting to say the least. I think the feds in conjunction with the president are trying to cover something big up (something political), and they are using sports to divert our attention. Bonds,Vick, and now this ref. Who's next? It seems like everyone in sports is fair game, except Kerney (didn't a female friend of his get raped in his house, while he was home) I guess that was'nt news worthy, so it was just swept under the rug.
  2. This is very disturbing. Have you ever watched a game and got the feeling that something wasn't right? I know I have, and it makes you wonder who else was on the take.
  3. I'm content with both picks. At first I wanted Conley, but I think Horford and Law were the rights picks. Stuckey looked real good though.
  4. My opinion remains the same (good). I think he will be our future at point guard for years to come.
  5. I still few him the same (good)
  6. Quote: Gotta get Horford more shots. He'll get more shots during the reagular season. You know how these summer league games are, everyone who wasn't drafted is auditioning for the entire league. So the majority of the players are going solo instead of playing team ball.
  7. This guy is incredible I'm looking forward to seeing him playing in college and the pro's.
  8. If speedy is healthy,I would start him all day, and let Law come along at a slower pace, so by the time playoffs role around Law would be ready to take over the starting position, and then bring speedy off the bench.
  9. Shelden is doing a good job this summer; he needs to pratice on his footwork, and learn to take what the defense gives him. If he can do that he'll be a real asset.
  10. Quote: Speedy comes back 100%, we trade off Lue, AJ, Lo for some usable talent. Speedy, Law, AND Salim platoon the PG. I really think this could be a nice backcourt.
  11. We'll just have to make everyone respect us!!!!
  12. Quote: Now Red is showing us the advantages of the tossback machine... Is this a subtle message to some of the guys playing in this game currently airing? LoL that machine is the bomb. Man talking about getting a good workout.
  13. Nuff Respect!!!! Great Job
  14. Quote: Quote: but there were tons of articles all over the net stating prior to the draft that Yi did not want to play for the Bucks. He didn't even give them a private workout. So from that they knew that he wouldn't play for them? Let me ask again, then why exactly are the Bucks FO going to China to talk to the Gov't and Yi? So they could get to know the person that they "knew" wouldn't play for them and then trade him? Highly doubtful. Its complicated and the Bucks clearly thought that they would be able to get Yi to play for them or be able to get a trade done. Hmmmm I guess you have'nt herd the latest report from Yi's camp, and his real agent the Chinese Gov't.
  15. Quote: Law is BK's kind of PG. Yep
  16. I wouldn't trade for Yi (he's a project). I'm just not impressed by him. Hell ZaZa can do the same thing if not better, put ZaZa in that summer league with Yi, and ZaZa would definitely get the best of him. We know ZaZa can score he just lacks that killer instinct. Hell if ZaZa would bang the boards and smack the hell out of somebody we would be straight. Yi is not going to bring what the Hawks finally have, and that's an inside presence. I’ll take Horford all day every day over Yi; his best bet is to go to the west coast, and play that finesse ball. Just my opinion folks please do not take it personally. I'm not on this board to prove anybody wrong; I just want to share my opinion with my fellow Hawks brethrens, and root for the home team. Peace
  17. Great article Sekou really provided some great insight about our Hawks. I think teams around the league know they are going to have to bring it against us. I'm just saying can we get a nationally televised game. TNT is in our back yard, and we still can't get any run. I remember watching TNT one night, and Barkley made the comment that the Hawks were one of his favorite up and coming teams. I looked at my wife , and we were both in Awwww. B/C everyone knows Barkley is not going to hold his tongue; he will definitely speak his mind. Some people hate Charles(as magic would say), but I think him, Ernie, and Kenny are the bomb.

    hey guys

Quote: Quote: Are you hawks fans just not that good or what?! i was gonna check out ur site/forum until this sentence...now i'll likely never go there I think his marketing plan sucks smh
  19. I said it once, and I will say it again. The Bucks brought this on themselves. I just feel sorry for the fans (sike). Hell know one ever felt sorry for us!!!!
  20. Quote: The only luck part is related to inuries. What is more important is how Woody uses his talent and distributes minutes. Historically he has not done well with this. Now that we have the the depth he's got to use it. That means solid rotations that will allow young guys to mature and not over work starters. You are right about the rotations, but as you stated previously the injuries prevented Woodson from making the proper rotations. I think this is the year that we fairly evaluate Woodson and BK. Finally, we get to see BK's vision. I just hope the Hawks play more of an up-tempo pace. With Speedy healthy (keeping my fingers crossed) and Law helping him man the point. There's no excuse for us not to release the hounds. Our team is too athletic not to run. We also have the type of team that can play half-court, but I perfer the up-tempo pace.
  21. Good Info, I think this year we will finally get some real respect.
  22. As I stated in a previous post, I'm a passionate fan riding with the home team. No matter what happens in the front office I'm still down for the team. I think most of us feel the same way. And to all the critics out there, it’s ok if one changes there mind, we're only human. In the past I have bashed BK like the rest, but I'm big enough to admit that maybe I could have been wrong, and perhaps that's why he's the Gm, and I'm the fan. During my vents about BK in the past I failed to see the whole picture, which includes our wannabe owners. However, I can see clearly now that the rain is gone, and our owners have always been the major obstacles in our way. Hopefully this season we'll see bright bright sunshiny days. I know you guys like the way I incorporated that old school 70's song in there lol.
  23. Quote: I always thought that the reason for the "promise" was to re-pay Arn Tellum for delivering JJ to the Hawks. I always thought that Tellum "lead JJ to us" and we thanked him by drafting another of his client's, Shelden, a few spots too early. The fact that they share the same agent seems a little too convenient. Also, consider that BK NEVER worked out Shelden. He has worked out every other player he selected before and after the '06 draft. A lot of circumstantial evidence, but that will always remain my belief for the "promise". There could be a pattern b/c he represents Law too. After Law's workout with us, it was rumored that we made him a promise. That's why he stopped working out for other teams. It's evident BK is comfortable dealing with Tellum. Perhaps this is just good old speculation, who really knows what going on with the Hawks management and ownership? I'm just a passionate fan riding with my home team.
  24. Quote: Law led the Hawks to the 83-77 win with 24 points, five assists, and six rebounds. He made 12-of-13 free throw attempts. Williams came close to a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Dallas had four players in double-digits. Ager poured in 16 points, Jose Barea put in 15 and eight assists, Brandon Bass added 13 points and five boards, and Nick Fazekas finished with 12 points, including one three-pointer. I had that feeling about Law. Well fellas I think we have our point guard. I can't wait to see Law and JJ down the streght during a close game. They can double team JJ if they want too. Shelden is still doing his thing. Damn Solo what is going on with you?
