  1. Take a look at the Phillips when the Hawks are playing, unless the Heat or Lakers are in town, nobody shows up. There is absolutely no FAN SUPPRORT during regular home games; that's where Joe get's in his mind that there was no pressure. Nobody CARED. Brooklyn is a different beast, there's going to be a ton of pressure.
  2. Jeff's arms are huge!
  3. Just wanna add that I think that James Harden is a better NBA player than Joe, only due to his ability to play the pick n roll and his ability to get to the line due to his flopping.HOWEVER, I've watched Harden play and his game is absolutely pitiful to watch at times. The amount of flopping he does ruins the integrity of basketball. Sure he gets contact on some plays but the amount of free throws that he gets makes him seem like he is better than he really is.
  4. Welcome to the board!!! You will soon find that the board has multiple personalities...
  5. Yeh, we will def miss making fun of duck butt in the chat room. Saying that we will miss Marvin moreso than JJ is what North and Dies talk about when they say that people on here disrespect JJ.
  6. Why would the lakers do this. Gasol is valuable for them since he can actually spread the floor, which Josh can't. Furthemore, Gasol is taller and can grab more rebounds as well as defend post players better than Josh. Unless the Lakers wanna trade Pau Gasol for lamar odom 2.0, this trade won't go down.
  7. Josh's positives don't really match up with those guys' positives. He can do everything at an average level with the exeption of his help defense which is also slowly fading. He is the perfect five tool guy that can be the man on a lottery team but will ultimately be the fourth best player on a championship team. We are not going to win with him making max money, if we do resign him next year.
  8. In reality, Josh doesn't really have that much of an offensive arsenal. He doesn't have a post game, a face up game, a jumpshot, or a dribble drive game. He is most efficient when he is not a number 1 or 2 option on offense. He needs to get his points through put backs, slashes, missed opportunities, lobs, and getting to the foul line. His speciality used to come from his defensive prowess, but nowadays he's not really the shot blocking force that he used to be. So in the end, Josh's ceiling is not as high as some would think. I think on a championship team he would be the third or fourth best player ala Lamar odom, shawn marion, etc...
  9. Gonna feel wierd seeing Marvin and Joe make plays like that in other uniforms
  10. teams will gameplan more for the nets than the hawks
  11. Zaza- "We gonna game 7 BABY!" Lady w/camera- "OMG all that bacne!!!!!!!"
  12. Hopefully, but the darn ASG along with the fans will keep superstars from coming here. We can only hope to draft one through the draft, but we all know how that turned out
  13. I'd rather be a lotto team than what we have right now, hell, I would've said that even if Joe were still on the team
  14. lol you can't just call someone ignorant when they don't agree with you. Robdawg had a solid point, there is a lack of talent at center in the east. You have Dwight Howard and after that it's a complete wash.
  15. Building WITH Horford and Teague I don't mind, but building AROUND Horf and Teague I do mind. We need a superstar, no one on our team has that potential, all of our players are great complimentary pieces to the puzzle. If we wanna win, we know what is needed plain and simple: SUPERSTAHHH!!!!
  16. I'm a JJ fan but let's be real, if it weren't for the lack of talent in the east shooting guard position Joe wouldn't have 6 all stars under his belt. Same with Horford. That doesn't make Joe less of a player, but the all star accolades have as much to do with Joe being in the east as it does him earning it through production.
  17. Horford's a great player, but I don't think he will ever have the impact needed as a 1st or 2nd option. He is best fit as a 3rd option who can specialize in spreading the floor and knocking down midrange shots. He doesn't have a go to move in the post, and he is not big enough to anchor defenses. He is the perfect glue guy and the perfect media guy so fans don't hate him. Problem is, that he is just not talented enough (right now) to be our best player.
  18. The suns SSOL teams should've won atleast one chip. MVsteve, Amare, Shawn, and JJ, four all star caliber players and two potential hall of famers should've got the job done.
  19. It will most likely be Josh because even with Joe last year, he had the highest usage rate. Like many have said before, either he will become a beast in the post ala LMA, or he will be a low efficiency shooting forward.
  20. If you tally up the total number of wins and losses from each team in both confrences according to his article, there are still more wins than losses.
  21. Dude is a dumbass, he has more wins than losses. It should be a 1:1 ratio
  22. Cmon let's be real....is he really going to talk bad about a player as volatile as Josh. Could you imagine Josh's reaction if Ferry had said the following: "I like Josh Smith, but he can improve on the offensive end by playing more down low and not shooting as much jumpers".Josh would've probably said something like this: "I don't really listen to what others say about me, I am my own critic. I know how much I love the game and my teammates back me up on whatever I do on the court."
  23. I disagree with this. I think that Joe will put up better stats next season because 1. He is playing with an elite pg, last time he played with an elite pg he put up 17 ppg, chances are that present Joe can increase that average by 3 ppg. 2. Joe and Deron are going to get the majority of shots, with Brook Lopez coming in third. Joe might even get MORE shot attempts this year because last year he took only 15.5 shots per game in order to benefit the team (I thought he should've taken more shots). Next year with Avery as the head coach I believe that Joe will get 17 fga per game. 3. Joe's assists will increase because when he is doubled he will find Deron for an easy three. I think that when Bibby was here, Joe's apg actually increased because of Bibby's ability to knock down a three. We didn't have that last year with Teague. 4. Joe's rpg might stay the same but I am inclined to say that they will increase because Brook Lopez is such a poor rebounder. I think Joe is still a 20 5 5 player. For the past few years, he has been injured and Josh has taken more of a load for the team. In Brooklyn, like Deron said, Joe will be revitalized. We all know how good a determined and healthy Joe can be. I think his time in Brooklyn will surprise alot of people success wise and statistics wise.
