Superstars have too much ego and dont wanna deal with losing. If LeBron lost to Nate or Gerald Green, I dont think he'll be too happy. Guys need to put that ego aside and just go out there and have fun and compete. With that said, the dunk contest is still good because there are alot of good dunkers that go under the radar that always put on a show..Im pickin Derozan to win the whole thing..kid can dunk. He'll beat Eric Gordon. Shannon Brown and Gerald Wallace got hops too but I've seen clips of Derozan in HS and he can easily win this thing

I think so. I've said this in the past. Horford is a hell of a player but he's small for the center position, even in today's NBA. He's only 6'10 and would be much better playing PF. If you look at all the teams who've won the NBA Championship for as long as I can remember they have had a much bigger frontcourt than we have now. Hawks are a good team, but that might hurt them when they get deep in the playoffs. No one can stop Howard but having a big body that can slow down Howard, Shaq, Yao Ming, Perkins(he's only gonna get better), and the Lakers twin towers would be helpful. We have one in Collins but Woody doesnt seem to use him much at all. I think that is a big mistake. Hopefully in the playoffs, Woody would play him much more against those biggers guys. Just 10 min will do..Collins is a underrated defensive big man..always has been. No need to trade Horford or Josh. Just need to use what we have and Collins is our biggest guy and has already shown he can slow down Shaq when Horford couldnt. Siler would of also been nice to thrown in there but Collins is a proven defender

I think the bench should see more time on the floor. Zaza, Evans, Teague and even Jason Collins should all be playing a few more minutes a game. The starters arent always playing well either and yet he keeps them in when their struggling. Crawford is the only bench players that stays in but he's playing well so that's expected. I want to see more Collins against biggers teams like Magic, Cavs, Celtics, and Lakers. If I coached this team, we'd be winning the conference lol

if I remember correctly, didnt the Hawks shoot the ball before they knew there was a problem with the shot clock? If so then the right decision was made. Stern is crooked but he may be correct on this one

they're a good tandem. The main difference between the two is Jamal Crawford has more of a killer instinct than Joe. Jamal Crawford has a similar approach to the game as a Kobe, LeBron and Wade. He is always in attack mode. But overall there is no question Joe is the better player. If Joe had the same approach to the game as Crawford he would go from being a good player to being a great player but you just gotta accept Joe for what he is..he's a damn good player and he isnt gonna change his style or personality. But together Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford give the Hawks a good scoring tandem at the end of ball games. You can also throw Bibby in there..he can hit big shots too. Because teams put most of their attention on Joe Johnson, Crawford will get alot of good looks..thats what happened against the Suns. If they key in on Crawford, that would open it up for Johnson

not a bad trade at all. I think Nets would do it because of Marvin..they can use a good young SF. Harris can play D when he wants, he can help out on that for sure. But he would have to take much less shots here and im not sure he'd be willing to do that. Hawks arent gonna make any big moves like this one tho but its a nice trade idea still Im not sure he's better than Rondo..he's the best PG in the East IMO. He should be an all star

Bibby brings nothing else to the game?? wow I wish Bibby went down so we can see how important he is to this team. We didnt get good until he got here..he makes everyone better. He has the best chemistry with both Josh and Horford and when he's on he's on. He just doesnt look for his shot enough but thats ok because we have other players that can score the ball. Numbers dont lie but they arent everything..Bibby is also our leader..he brings alot to the game for the Hawks and is our best PG

Al Jefferson is the better player but idk..JSmoove still has more potential. I would hold off on this but Al Jefferson is a better player right now and would make us better offensively for sure. It would also put Horford in his right position if Jefferson were to play Center. I dont think Minnesota would do this deal anyway..he's 90% of their offense

Joe Smith has been a disappointment so far. I know he's been injured but he hasnt done much when he played. Hope he will help out in the playoffs but i'd rather play Collins..he looked better vs Cleveland against Shaq than Joe Smith has looked all season

Nets are about to deal Najera to Dallas for Humphries and Shawne Williams. They will have to release Sean Williams to make space for a roster spot. Sean Williams can play. He's a great shot blocker and runs the floor well. Nets have been disappointed with his development but give him the playing time and he'll give you a boost. He is much better than Randolph Morris and is probably even better than Joe Smith at this point. Here's a video of him:

Give me them over Miami. We beat Miami but it took us 7 games. I have a feeling we can beat Raptors in 5. They have Bosh and Turkoglu so I would give them one game. They dont have the defensive stoppers that Miami have in JO, Wade, Chamlers and now Alston who can put pressure on the ball. I'd take Toronto. Either way Hawks should beat both in the first round

lol yea I respect Byron Scott's opinion and I like him too but he just isnt a good 4 TV. He didnt say much or back up what he was saying..he just was talking lol kinda funny. But Mashburn is a kool guy and I think he's right..Hawks can make it to the Eastern Conference Finals if they play thr right way. We can beat Boston in 7. The challenge is Cleveland..I want no part of them come playoff time..we have no answer for Shaq or LeBron

he is right. Too much one on one at times. move the ball..make team defend us. When a guy has it going like Crawford did last night then get him the ball until he cools off but we have to run some more plays because when we do they work. BIbby is the only player that will move the ball on this team and not iso..maybe because he cant lol but still its good to see Hawks get open shots instead of forcing up bad shots

are you nuts?? lol no offense but that trade would be the worst trade made since Raptors gave the Nets vince for Mourning, Aaron Wiiliams and Eric Williams. T-Mac has been hurt and is getting old. JJ and Marvin are younger players and JJ is better than T-Mac and you wanna throw in Marvin?? They would have to give us Yao Ming to make that trade fair..wow, glad you're not a GM. that would put us far away from the top 3 in the East. I would want either Butler or Maggette. Both scorers that can get to the line and both can defend. but at the same time, I'm not ready to give up on Marvin..he's young and plays his role well. But Butler would be hard to pass up..he's an all star type player. Im sure Hawks would have to include a draft pick to get Butler tho which would be fair. I do think the Sund may be up to something because he cut Hunter. Butler and Maggette would make us even closer to the top 3. I wouldnt mind a trade for either

First of all, for those who took this thread serious, you must of missed where he said (No, Im not serious) but there is some truth to his(MVP23) post. I been a Joe Johnson fan for some yrs now. He's good and is one of the better scorers in the league but sometimes the guy just seems to be going through the motions. I dont think Joe Johnson is worth the max. He is gonna be 29 when his contract is over and he is not on the same level as a Bron, Kobe, or Wade so I dont think he is worth the max..I dont think a team with Joe Johnson as their best player can win a championship..he would be best playing with a player like Wade or Kobe. Luckily this Hawks team is pretty deep with talented guys who can score so he can have an off night(thanks to Jamal Crawford). I will still root for this team to win because im a Joe Johnson and Bibby fan and i really like this team but I think Joe Johnson needs to step up in a big way..not just his play but his leadership. If guys see Joe looking like he cares then we wont have games where we look like we dont wanna play. You're best play rubs off on the team whether you believe it or not. In the playoffs against the Celtics, Joe Johnson was pumped up and he had his best game of his career against the best defensive team in the league at the time. I just wish the guy would have that killer instinct all the time. Thats what seperate him from Kobe, Bron, and Wade IMO. With that said, we should not tank the season because we arent gettin Wall and we are a top 5-6 team in the league..we just need our leader to step up and play like a player who deserves a max everynight. We also need to play Jason Collins against the bigger and stronger teams..I been saying that for a while now. Hopefully Collins plays in the next 3 games against Boston twice and Magic. He can help out alot. Bibby and Horford are our leader whether you like it or not. Joe Johnson just doesnt have the personality of a leader but Hawks can still be as good as they want to be. Guys have to stick together and play hard and the sky is the limit for us. We dont need to trade Marvin or anyone. I'd trade JSmoove b4 i trade Marvin..Josh Smith still plays dumb at times and while he has the most potential, I think his value is also high and we can get much more in return by trading him instead of Marvin who I think plays his role well..he doesnt do anything outta line and he steps up in big games. Teague is a more athletic version of Rondo?? really?? i dont see a comparison..Teague can hit 3s and he isnt the defenser or passer Rondo it but their both quick and athletic. Teague is more like louis williams on the Sixers IMO
