  1. You're talking about Elson right? Elson, who played for the Spurs for a little while? Hell yeah, I would love for him to be a Hawk. GET HIM!!
  2. I'm not expecting 'high' quality vets like Posey, but there had to be some better FA's than Morris and Hunter. I just don't seeing these moves improving our team that much, if at all. I'm more comfortable with ZaZa/Solomon at C than ZaZa/Morris, but thats just me. Lets pray that I'm wrong, and these guys will help improve the Hawks.
  3. Don't give me the ol' "its not about the stat sheet" speech, please. I know that. But after last year, I remember hearing about bringing in some veterans. Rick Sund even spun it by saying that the last thing we needed this year was another draft pick (LOL, trying to get us to believe that having no picks is a good thing). JJ was saying that he wanted some veteran help, so we bring him Maurice Evans....somebody who shouldn't of started for the Magic and the only reason he did was because there was no one else. I went to the Magic boards and asked them myself - http://boards.espn.go.com/boards/mb/mb?&am...s=Orlando+Magic , and they watched him play plenty. Now, I like Mo as a 6th man, but Morris and Hunter...not really the veteran help that was promised. They just seem like projects, not established vets. And, whos to say Woody doesn't do his 7 man rotation again and these guys see the floor as much as Solomon. I'm just a little disappointed in this off season, and I'm not even taking into account the Chillz situation.
  4. Yeah, I don't agree with that statement. Smoove is definitely our 2nd best player, and at times plays like our BEST player. He just brings so much to the table, as where Horford mainly brings rebounds and post scoring. Don't get me wrong, Horford is awesome, but just look at Smooves stat line at the end of one of his games. It never stops. Points, Rebounds, Blocks, Steals, Assists, etc.
  5. I feel great for the young guy, but this is just another example of the Hawks wanting to fill there bench with young cheaps. Mo Evans, Randolph Morris, and this guy. 3 guys that haven't down anything in the league. Where are the vets that the Hawks were supposed to get?
  6. I found that to be strange as well. I was expecting at least 90% to say match.
  7. I voted for Sund because I'm not that quick to forget how crappy BK was. Sund has had a horrible start, but I'll give him time to make things right. If Smith isn't a Hawk this upcoming season though, I may change my vote.
  8. - ASG/Sund's top priorities is to keep both Joshes - - ASH/Sund of verge of losing both even though they're restricted - - FAIL!! -
  9. I don't see a problem for Hawks fans to voice their opinion on the situation. Maybe something in lines of "If you don't sign Smith, I won't attend any games/won't buy season tickets". They won't take it seriously most likely, but if enough people did, then maybe.
  10. I'm guessing that we signed him because he is as cheap as it gets. Other than him helping us move Al to the 4, I don't see him being a productive player.

    It's Sickening..

I just have this feeling that if we were gonna keep Smith, we would of had him signed by now. The longer it takes, the more worried I get.
  12. That video makes me smile. I haven't smiled since Game 6.
  13. Quote: Quote: One thing is I hope the Hawks at least interview other coaches, regardless of what happens. I hope they don't just make up their mind to keep Woody without even conducting other interviews, which is likely considering the Spirits' terrible regime. I'm still amazed that Woody is going to be kept. It's like something out of the twilight zone. That made me laugh my tail off. I got the Twilight Zone song in my head while picturing Woody with his arms crossed....and then that guys voice saying something like " In a world where there are no consequences...no responsibility, a man who fails but gets to keep his job time and time again.... only in...the Twilight Zone. LOL!!
  14. Listening to Gearon talk was painful. I like how he approaches direct questions. He wonders with his answers to the point where he hopes the listeners forget what the question was in the first place.
  15. I won't sit here and play coach...we just need to play like we're capable of playing. Thats the thing that bothers me. Johnson and Smith won't quit giving credit to the fans...WE WON"T BE IN BOSTON!!! You need to transfer that hustle to Boston, cause we can't generate that energy for you from here. Great thing is though...I think they'll do it and make it close to the end. GO HAWKS!!
  16. We had Philips rocking hard while down 0-2 to a 66 win team that should of swept us....let him call us what he wants as long as we win.
  17. It doesn't matter because Woodson has secured his job by winning atleast 2 games in the post season. We're talking about ASG here....so don't get your hopes up.
  18. The only way that we get rid of MW is when he's eligible for free agency. We can achieve nothing by trading him...no one wants him. I put him on the same list of busts as Darko and Kwame. His jumper may attract some attention, but he lacks everything else. I'd rather have Todd MacCulloch.
  19. Quote: Boston IS soft. They played soft in games 3 and 4. They're not a great team. Do you think Houston, Chicago, SA, or LA would have lost games 3 and 4? I don't. Maybe your right, but I can't sit here and say that the best defensive team in the league is soft....some credit just goes to the way the Hawks played in games 3 and 4. We are prone to beating elite teams every now and then at home...even the Lakers.
  20. We're not supposed to compete, let alone win. I am a little disappointed that we didn't make it more of a game. It's like we didn't bring any momentum from our first 2 wins to Boston, but hey, they're the ones with the 66 victories in the regular season, so we can't really expect to stand toe to toe with these guys, right? I know what the Warriors did last year, but that was against a soft team...and Boston isn't soft. I love the Hawks, and I will till I'm dead or they leave Atlanta, but I can't get that mad at the situation right now. Our time will come, but that time will not be in 08 (and I'm not saying that I'm giving up on the series, I'm just saying that losing to the C's isn't something to be ashamed of. The Hawks are gaining valuable experience right now, and this will help us in the future. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying)
  21. d*ck Bavetta. Theres your problem with NBA referring right there.
  22. Does Mike Woodson deserve to stay, and would you favor him doing so? There has been a year long (actually longer) hunger for the firing of Woodson. We plain hate the guy and we want him out regardless of what happens in the postseason...right? Say the Hawks beat the C's and create the biggest upset in NBA history; doesn't that warrant Mikes job safety for at-least one more year?
  23. Nobody really knows me here, but I'll be in section 210 getting drunk while slapping people with green clothing.
  24. Quote: These guys cost me 550 tonight cant even cover a 15 point spread so freaking sad. good
