Nowhere near? I agree that he can be a better one on one defender but he is up near the top when it comes to DPOY. The guy blocks the hell out of everything and even when he doesn't get a block you get players changing their shots and throwing up garbage because they know he's there about to stuff'em.

Speedy reminds me of Mr. Glass from Unbreakable.

My only gripe is that if you make the window bigger, the space doesn't increase....its the same size with a bigger out of bounds area. If you could possibly find out if that is fixable, that would be awesome.

I can't really say anything right now since everyone is 0-0. As soon as the Hawks are half way through the year, I'll gladly dis Hollinger (assuming the Hawks will be where I think they'll be..somewhere around a .550 winning %) EDIT: I could dis him on the Chils being the 3rd best player, but its not even worth it. Every Hawks fan knows that Chills was probably the 6th best on the squad last year. One could argue that he was better than Marvin, but I'll give the edge to Marvin.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Not the most optimistic thread I've seen. Usually threads like this get created when your team is 15 games under .500 and you want to vent a little. This is the time of year to be optimistic.

Everyone is saying that the East is so much better but we didn't do much except replace Childress. I disagree with the ranking as well, but I'm not surprised by the low expectations.

I expect us to be bad for a long time. By the time we get some decent players in here, Chipper will be done, and he's the heart and soul of the team. We'll be going against the Mets and Phillies, and they don't seem to be going anywhere in the East. All we really have on this team to build around is Mccann and MAYBE Esocbar. I'm still not sold on Jair and Campillio as #2/3 starters. It would be nice if we get CC next year, Jordan Schaefer comes up and becomes a beast, then followed by Jayson Heyward, but thats a lot that has to go right. Teams go through ups and downs, and the Braves are in the midst of their down. Its time for Wren to think long term, and long term only when making moves.

No, I guess none of it really matters, I just thought Mario was a short guy....like 6'2-6'3. When he's on the court he just seems so much shorter than everyone else.

In Sekou's new article, he list Mario as 6'5...but I was thinking that he was way shorter. Am I trippin? I also thought that he gave ZaZa an inch when saying he was 6'11 and he gave Al an inch in saying he was 6'10.
