Not ignoring the 1st round especially since we have had problems with both possible opponents the bucks and heat. I just made this post cause I do expect us to come out on top in the end and win the series in round 1. Not to be cocky or anything I just have confidence in round 1 for our hawks and I think they can handle there's with there first opponent. Now in round 2 Im worried cause the possibility of winning at all is on the low end and not the high if you know what i mean as far as the first round we have a pretty high chance of succeeding!

Agreed.Dont be surprise if the Lebron and the REF's sweep us! in the regular season and the playoff's if we get them in round 2!

Just intrested in who most of you would rather see us face in round 2 between magic and cavs. Now personally I would rather see us face orlando than the cavs, only reason is that I feel that LBJ gets WAY too much B.S. and he has the refs on his side. Now Im not saying we can just straight up torch orlando but if we play HOWARD the way we did this past wed. than we got a legit shot in my eyes. Now I do think we can take both to 7 games but I think we can actually get orlando before we get the Cavs and again before somebody bash me on this it's because LBJ gets his way with the REF's (not that other stars dont but LBJ's is much worse. these ref's cheat for that man literally. I dont like LBJ and Im not a hater. I will admit he's good but he's not the best!>cough< KOBE IS) This is how the HAWKS can BEAT the MAGIC 1. We need to throw different looks at Howard -by that I mean we play him straight up most of the time and we double him when necessary 2.Whoever is playing HOWARD, that person must make sure they get down court before he does and not let him position himself in the paint to get an easy bucket. -for those who did NOT notice HOWARD does not make a ton of shots when he can't get postioned! He's not the old SHAQ where he can hit hook shots and body cats to the goal and dunk on em. Dont get me wrong he's powerful but I saw that he starts to give up once he's either in foul trouble or when he cant position himself to score! again he's not the old SHAQ people say he is ( dominating but not great on offense) 3.Make sure that the person guarding HOWARD CONTEST his every SHOT 4.We need MARVIN and EVERY HAWK player to go after every REBOUND they can! - reason is because it's going to take an all out effort to get Boards against Howard so we need to be aggressive on every Board in order to give us second chance opportunities and to stay near the MAGIC with the rebounding (that should take care of HOWARD! we play like that we will force him into another 4 for 11 shooting night of course he's going to get his Boards but the objective is to contain him. your not going to shut him down) 5. as for the rest of the MAGIC we just need to hustle and play D the way we did WED. it is pretty obvious that all they try to do is shoot 3's and we played very good perimeter D ( well not so much against RASHARD I saw him open quite a few times! lucky for us he was off that night) other than that we did very well on containing the 3 point offense Gundy runs. Also we just need to make sure we switch on D at all the right times and contest their shots. ( they may get open but we CAN contain them most of the time) OFFENSE ONLY CONCERN 1. I only have one thing to say about our Offense............ we need to have ball movement in the 4th and not just against the MAGIC but against all our opponents. That is why we have so many problems in the fourth we stop moving the ball! and we make bad shot selections. Also TOO many isos from players in the fourth! If we can move the ball in Woody's system I dont think we can be stopped offensively! I mean hell give the man some credit his offense works in all the other 3 quarters because we move the ball than when we get to the fourth everybody stops trusting each other and here comes HERO MODE. So anyhow ball movement and hitting our good looks will keep us rolling in the fourth.

I completely disagree. For one reason I can't stand Lebron James! I hate the fact LBJ gets away with so much and reason number 2 I know your going to call me crazy but I say we have a better chance at beating orlando than the cavs!!!!.........yeah I know most of are going to bash me on this but truthfully LBJ gets away with too much for us to beat him weather we get close to winning or not you know the REF's wont let us beat him!!!

Im looking into going to the playoffs this year to watch our Hawks Succeed (hopefully) but I dont have any hawks gear! Every website I go to it's pretty high! Anyone know any websites where I can get some cheap hawks gear? P.S. I also look forward to going to some Falcon games for thats my favorite team in the NFL but I have no gear to represent them either. So also does anyone know any website for cheap NFL gear? honestly man I have to disagree this time JJ was the best option on the court to take that shot in all honesty. now if crawford or bibby was on the court I would have felt he needed to pass. An also if joe did pass it prob would have went to smith on a long jumpshot that he wouldnt have made and we all would be saying..........."jj why would you pass to smith out of all people"! in the end im glad JJ took that shot, if we would have went to OT oh well.but it didnt happen that way. Answer this for me do we not play what woody calls a switching defense which is basically still man to man we just have the players with the ability to matchup at other opponents if they get switched. Any ways woody needs to stop doubling howard cause howard finds the open man and thats why they hit 12 THREE POINTERS on us last game outscoring us 56-25 in the 2nd half. We are falling into Van Gundy's offensive gameplan! Hell everybody knows they like to shoot three's and it's easier for them to get once we decide to double howard. Why do we decide to double howard every time he plays us we didn't double none of the other top big men in the NBA. Hell we didnt even double D wade in the playoffs and those were very important games. I say let horford bang as well as whoever is guarding him one on one. If he kills us then oh well it's better to see us banging with howard than him kicking it out to a wide open man to hit a three! If woody decides to double howard all game tomorrow I'm not watching cause he should know that, that game plan does not work!

11 game win streak coming for the hawks. well maybe...............ok probably not but there is possibility! I mean look at these teams were going to be playing! I mean after this mavs upset loss tonight, i dont want to hear.."it's just one game?"......well them one games add up and im so sick of these hawk players saying well if we want to be considered good we dont lose games like this. they say something like this sh*t everytime we lose to a good team they need to stop talking and just play they game.(sorry got thrown off topic from anger.......and im back!) Anyways these next teams aint bout squat and i think since the hawks say they want to be known as an elite team they wont lose to these nobody teams in our next 11. we need to finish the season off strong going into the playoffs and try to get the number 3 spot atleast. Look at these next 11 games and tell me your thinking like i am we should win all of these: 1.bucks (gettin better but we can get em plus they lookin for a rebound since we want to lose to the mavs) 2.bulls (they ok but i still think we should win this matchup) 3.76ers (not great at all and we should win this without prob as well) 4.warriors (we wont slip up again im sure) 5.heat (no d wade) 6.knicks ( no nate robinson) 7.wizards (just suck) 8.pistons ( beat us earlier this season it was a mistake wont win again positive) 9.nets (im mean really if we dont win im done) 10.raptors (blew they asses out twice this season...i think we can do it again people) 11.bobcats (we already showed them whats up so yeah......a win there) can we do it?....hopefully we need to work on being consistent with out winning anyways here's a good opportunity to build on that and confidence.

True and Im wit you on the ASG not being a "all cost" organization but I can't see our team being as good without him and I dont want to see us going though another drought as far as reaching the playoffs. plus i mean damn we have no other star to get or go after we would be in a somewhat like rebuilding mode(not really but you know what i mean). i dont want to see this team go through that again. I pray that the ASG looks over this situation closely before making a quick decision on what to do.

An if we did we could just use the money on other free agents that we were going to give J.J. to resign but that's not possible cause we will still be over the salary cap and couldn't offer more than just a MLE. So I came to find out I didn't fully understand the NBA Salary cap myself. So I looked it up and did my research. NBA's Salary Cap First off I feel many of us dont know how the NBA's salary cap really works. It's not as simple as it sounds, it actually has many loops in it. In the NBA salary cap also known as a Soft Cap there is a exception called the Larry Bird exception this is perhaps the most well-known of the NBA's salary cap exceptions, it is so named because the Boston Celtics were the first team permitted to exceed the salary cap to re-sign one of their own players (in that case, Larry Bird). Free agents who qualify for this exception are called "qualifying veteran free agents" or "Bird Free Agents" in the CBA, and this exception falls under the auspices of the Veteran Free Agent exception. In fact now that I think about it, teams like the knicks and nets are taking a huge risk of going after these free agents cause most of the higher free agents including LBJ, Bosh and so on, their teams are over the cap and even though there are some consequences in actually going over it to get your star back I bet MOST TEAMS will take that RISK including our ATL HAWKS themselves.
