I was thinking...........if JJ hasnt signed with us by now then it looks like he's really going to test the free agent market but maybe its too early to tell. Anyhow I just like other hawk fans like JJ alot but if he actually decides to test the market I say we go after D.WADE! I mean I do think its possible to get him since we all know he's going to be a free agent cause the heat aint doing sh*t to make him want to stay!LOL So say JJ dont sign next off-season. Would it be possible for us to sign D.WADE or Would we have to release another player to get someone like D.WADE cause of his huge contract? (ATL Im sure Im not the only one who has been thinking about something like this..........If jj dont sign we must go after WADE if we can afford to have him on the team)

well actually i dont think they would make a big deal out of it if it wasnt anything big. i mean he is not just there like those other players you mentioned. if you read the article it actually says "Jerry Stackhouse has been working out with Hawks players in Atlanta recently". To me I think were trying this guy out hopefully he makes it.

I like this but in my eyes I say we give joe smith alot more minutes than 8 atleast 15 and i think collins should get about the same amount as zaza like 8 or 9. An horford shouldnt be seeing 33 minutes of play time but more like 25 to 30, and as for j smoove right at 30. but hey thats my opnion. i really dont care as long as our starters get enough rest and we win! GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!

I feel johnson will sign this contract very soon! reason is, is because I dont belive johnson will receive a better offer from any team.Now im not saying jj isnt worth it but I mean $60m for 4 years is great for johnson and nobody is going to out do that offer.

We talk about whos going to be our backup BIG but I dont think we should ignore the fact that we dont have a legit backup SF.Dont get me wrong I do like Mo and what he brings to our team. He is somewhat of a solid player but there is one thing I have a problem with wit mo and its the fact that he's playing out of postion (which he has nothing to do with) -first off this man is shorter than a typical SF -his defense is ok but it lacks when going against bigger size or taller size SF -he's a true 2 guard What need to be done about this situation: -we simply need to just sign an legit SF that has a decent skill set similar to mo's atleast or better (Rodney Cardney comes to mind! not sure who else is in free agency) -we could trade him for someone and snatch us a true SF from another team(I think mo can easily be traded since we now have crawford) I think we should go after Rodney Carney. He's in the free agency and he's a decent player who can help this ballclub, but if we sign him or someone else to be the backup SF what happens to Mo?.......I say we trade Mo to find that BIG man we need so bad. Your Thoughts?

As we all know woody used an 8 man rotation last year that consisted of bibby, johnson, williams, j smoove, horford, flip, mo, and zaza. Now with that being said we as fans of the hawks we get upset about how woody runs his minutes and rotations and we should be. BUT and there is a BIG BUT when I say woody played that 8 man rotation last season because he TRUSTED those only 8 players on the team. The other players he didnt have faith or TRUST in them (acie, morris, hunter, and whoever else that hardly didnt ever see any court action all last year). Now heres the point im trying to make if someone like teague or someone can come in and actually prove himself to WOODY and show some type of instant production on the court then WOODY will TRUST him and PLAY him, but if that person doesnt show anything on the court than woodys going to sit him like he did acie. Then theres players like crawford, well here woody is defeinitely going to play him because he knows what he's getting and because its crawford thats not a huge name but its not a little name either, he knows woody is going to give him his minutes and Woody already knows what crawford is going to give him on the court (another scoring ability). To end this whole thing off WOODY can do a 10 man rotation as long as those 10 players shows or should i say prove themselves to woody by showing some type of production on the court and not just being out there, they have to prove their skills and talents to woody (just like any other coach) and also build TRUST with him which is the biggest of all because WOODY ONLY PLAYS THOSE WHO HE TRUST RIGHT NOW WOODY ONLY TRUST 8 MEN ON THE TEAM. AS SOON AS WE GET 2 MORE PEOPLE WOODY WILL TRUST THEN WE WILL MAKE THE ROTATION A 10 MAN INSTEAD OF AN 8 AND THE MINUTES WILL THEN BE MORE SPREADED OUT WHERE JJ AND THE WHOLE STARTING FIVE CAN GET MORE REST IN THE GAME. -also ithink if we sign siler woody will play him and give him a chance to earn some minutes because woody shows that he likes this kid alot so im looking for siler to show out in front of woody and also i know if we sign joe smith woody is going to give him minutes without question and also a person like stromile swift.

To Diesel and others against the Marv signing please get over it guys. Marv is back and now we need to start thinking about how to make our front court better with additional big men. So who do you have in mind? I for one like Joe smith if he comes but i really dont think he will sign! So im looking at a more realistic signing like Hakim Warrick, Stromile Swift, jarron collins, and maybe (i guess i would like to have francisco elson or brian skinner as well if we cant seem to get Warrick or Swift)

What we got is an important player back! you hatin mutha****a. Marv deserves to be here! So just leave it alone. He has improved every year in the NBA and last year he even got himself a nice 3pt and it will get better this year cause again marv improves himself every year and will continue to do so. Let me ask you one question: We know you hate marvin but answer me this do you want him here still and step up or do you want to trade him! An if so who do you want us to trade marv to and get for him?

Same here.............but I am somewhat worried about this season.

Now Im not impatient with negotiations cause they do take time but I am impatient when it comes to signing free agents. Marv will probably get resigned but our frontcourt will still be suffering. We have watched several big man get signed by other teams and there's not many left! If Sund wants to compete next year with the big boys(cavs, magic, lakers, celtics, spurs) then he better put a move on it. My Questions to the Squawkers: 1. Im not sure about this but isnt there a signing period in the NBA and when does it end? cause again we have not signed Marvin yet and I do think there is a signing period in the NBA so Sund needs to get that deal with Marv done! 2.Now as far as frontcourt goes, I think if we can somehow add Hakim Warrick and Siler, we will be ok (though they wont fix all of our front court woes). Reason is Hakim can provide points off the bench in the paint though he is an undersize PF and as for Siler Im not hyping him up but I know for a FACT that because of his SIZE (305) and his HUSTLE, he will be able to help us out with something! The question is do you agree with what was said in number 2? P.S. I know some of you are going to say why didnt I say Joe Smith and Siler instead of Hakim and Siler reason is if you havent noticed I seriously doubt we get Joe Smith why would he come to the hawks! We havent made moves to be championship contenders and Im sure that he wants to win now especially since he's aging! An the comments on Siler is made cause if you our hawks fan and you watch them whos our number one HUSTLER................KING ZAZA!!! An SILER HUSTLES just like ZAZA and neither really have any outstanding skills they just HUSTLE on every play unlike MORRIS or SOLO. We need players like that on this team and SILER is it!

Mr. Eddy Curry! -Yes he's mainly good for just scoring which we could use off the bench. -He's not much of a rebounder (but he does ok) but again he can score in the post. -And on top of all that he has a great size 6'11 285 -He's only 26 But -He gets into alot of trouble, thats why he missed so many games last year and thats what scares teams away from giving him a chance but I wonder if he can change I mean he is human! - not sure what he got in trouble for but he does have a rep as of staying in trouble -Hell lets take a chance on him and sign him! Its not like we are going to get anything better unless joe smith actually comes -not sure what he gets himself in trouble with but it seems like he is in trouble every time you hear something about him So Would you take a chance on Mr. Curry as a backup center for our team?

Solo is gone now so all we have left is horford, zaza, morris and a unsigned marvin williams! Who knows maybe we have something up our sleeves cause I sure hope so. Was solo that bad to let go?
