  1. Would it be possible to make a trade of Bamba for Bogi? I think this trade might improve the team a  lot and is a good trade for Lakers as well

    Young/Bufkin

    Murray/AJ

    Hunter/Bey

    JJ/OO

    Capela/Bamba

Bamba can play the 4 and the 5, defends really well, would fit perfect with OO, fit well with Capela and JJ. We would free minutes for AJ that is high efficient wing, playing him at his position (SG). That Frontcourt of OO/Bamba could be a Frontcourt for 10 years, they really fit, they would be awesome on defense and good on offense

  2. Well I would start with my keepers

    PG: Young/Bufkin

    SG: Murray/Griffin

    SF: Hunter/Bey

    PF: ?/JJ

    C : ?/OO

Basically we need a starting Frontcourt, JJ and OO would be the weakest Frontcourt on the league in quality and size.

Yo sign that starting Frontcourt we can use Bogi and Capela as trading pieces.

Bogi is a good player but if Bogi stays we need to play AJ as backup SF and Bey as PF, all of them undersized for a allready undersized team, we are allready undersized with Young and OO. Best thing we can do is trade Bogi for a Frontcourt player and use AJ and Bey at the positiions they have good size for.

The only good thing of trading JC is that we have minutes for AJ and JJ but they need to play on the best positiions for them.

  3. As I think more and more on the trade and check which are the options we have at PF I am beginning to think the plan is to add a C like Brook Lopez, Vucecic, Poetl, Wagner… and move OO to PF partially at least, I guess the plan also considers giving more minutes and bigger role to JJ.

  4. I don’t see a PF that could help us on FA. Kuzma, Rui, I don’t think they are a good fit, really weak defensively, advanced stats hate them for a reason. Perhaps PJ Washington, he is a RFA, I don’t think we can make a run at him. Basically I think we are committing our PF to JJ and Bey. Any PF players we could pursue?

At C I think here are interesting players, Thomas Bryant, Vucevic, Poetl, Brook Lopez, Wagner, even Drew Eubanks….I wonder if they are planning to sign a C and move OO to PF.

  5. I am not convinced their core off Giddey, Shai, Jalen Williams and Holmgren is so much better than our core, I think they are but they have some issues as well. They lack defense.

I think Shai was better than Trae last year, I am not convinced he will have a better career but probably now has an advantage. Let's see if he can replicate what he did.

Giddey made also a leap last year, I think DJM IS better but his backcourt is more balanced, better defense and a lot of size, I think they are better there.

Jalen Williams was a key part of their success, I think he surprised a lot of guys but as with Shai I don't think he can replicate those numbers, I just don't think so. I want yo see Hunter for a full season with Quinn before any judgment here.

I think Holmgren is going to have problems at NBA level, is difficult to see a guy so skinny having success at pro level. Our Frontcourt is clearly better today.

I am confident on the leap that AJ, JJ and OO can give to this team. I think they are Young players with upside as Jalen Williams that have not had the minutes opportunity but have similar upside and could have a similar impact on this team.

Kreji/Martin/Bruno guaranteed and leave one slot open is my preference.  Vit brings good vibes, Martin has potential and seems to gel with the guys, and Bruno is Bruno, we love him.  I look for cultural / off-court fit more than on-court need for 11-15 slots, but I think those three are good for both.

I prefer Matthews to Martin, I think he is a good rotation wing.

  7. I think we have a strong core of 11 players, our guard rotation is strong, we lack defense on the front court, rebounding, size and overall team strength. We are deep.

We can compete with this team and get 5-8th seed on the East, probably an exit on 1st round.

Improvement should be made on the front court to go further. Our best trading pieces are Collins, Capela and Bogi and we should look for players with more defense and size on the frontcourt. We could sacrifice depth on the backcourt for a star player on the frontcourt, that is clear. Or we could try to go to FA to add a PF/C with defense and size. To be able to do that we need to dump salary.
Improving this team is not going to be easy.

  8. I think we got a rotation guard at 16 which is not bad, but again an undersized SG.

Seems that he has good defense which is an improvement but we have a big problem of size and strength on the team, I thought we were going to close that gap a little bit on the draft, apparently we will not and we will need to look at FA to do it.

I think this selection would be a steal if he can play efficiently PG, and replace AH on the rotation. I would like to see the duo of AJ and Bufkin on the backcourt. If he can only play SG he is completely redundant with AJ and Bogi. Basically we need to add contributors that can help on filling the gaps of the roster, the guy can defend and that can earn him minutes but I don’t want that minutes at the expense of AJ minutes, I see AJ as the future SG of the team

  9. Well, seems like Capela might be gone for KJ Martín and a pick.

Apparently Collins might be traded for a pick and a role player.

We might even trade Murray for Siakam on his last contract year, no guarantees he is resigning.

I don't see how these trades might make us a better team, I cannot see how we improve our defense, athleticism, size and shooting with these movés.

All the plan seems to be based on giving JJ, OO, AJ and Bey larger roles with no quality replacement for proven NBA starters....

On the other side Celtics get KP for Brogdon....

Honestly speaking I am starting to lose my hope. My only hope is on coach, but I hope we give him at least a slightly better team this year.

  10. I think we will be trading Capela for something but I do not know for what.

I am confident JJ, AJ and OO can fill larger roles, Bey as well.

I am still confident on the production we can get from Trae, DJM, Hunter and Collins although would not mind to trade Collins for a stronger player.

So the question here is what 2 pieces can fit well with those 8 or 7 players and form a good team with Capela,  Bogi, AH, BF and Matthews as trading pieces, even our picks these year.

Is clear that we lack strength, defense and shooting the most coveted characteristics on NBA. I really think we need 2 front court players and a guard. The other option is to upgrade starting PF by trading Collins.

Dream pipe options at center: KAT, Embiid, I am including Ayton because is a top tier center today, I think he lacks motivation but a change of scenery….

Realisitic options at center: Miles Turner, I think he is the center that exists today that could fit nicely with Collins and Trae. Porzingis, option just  because his injuries, if you acquire him you need a plan B and we don’t have one.

Other options: Bamba, Gafford, Wendell Carter Junior. I am all in in going after Bamba, but I don’t know what it would take to take him from Lakers, I think for us he is the best combo of fit vs price.

Dream pipe options at PF:Siakam, I don’t think we can get him, just on the list because Raptors may choose to go with Barnes and OG. JJJ, best fit, untouchable for Memphis

Realistic option: Christian Wood, doubt he is an upgrade but his game might fit better. Isaac, too much risk but if he comes cheap, could we try?

Other options: Eason, just here as Hou is interested on Capela, Jalen Smith, always have thought he fits nice here, long and good shooting at PF.

  11. Keepers

    Trae/DJM/Hunter/?/OO

    ?/AJ/Bey/JJ/?

We need to fill 3 slots and our trade pieces should be Capela/Collins and Bogi.

    Trade targets that fit:

Frontcourt players that fit: Ayton, Siakam, KAT, Bamba as trade targets.

    Backourt players: Delon Wright, ??

Upgrades web should pursue at allí cost Jaylen Brown, Mikal Bridges,

    Draft targets: Lively III
