  1. His wingspan is probably right at average. Doesn't seem like he has crazy reach or anything
  2. He's definitely over 6'9. Wendell Carter measured at 6'10 with shoes. You can simply see them next to each other and obviously tell he's just as tall if not taller than Wendell.
  3. I think we don't usually go offense because that's usually where the unsafe picks are. We aren't the best with taking risks lol Our nature is just high floor safe players. Going offense would mean one of: Bagley, Porter, Doncic, Young. I'd love any of them but there are PLENTY that would feel uneasy about really everyone but Doncic smh.
  4. Honestly, there's not really any prospect I'd be mad at us taking. I'd be less excited for some but looking at how close everyone is as far as strengths and weaknesses, there's not a lot of ways we could mess this one up.
  5. I'm pretty sure having something that can completely change the scope of our offense from day 1 will lead us to winning. But if you're expect that to change drastically by next season you just got unrealistic expectations.
  6. I think we all may be significantly overlooking the impact Trae Young could have on actually making our team worth watching. Even through this rebuilding phase, the way he plays alone will bring a lot of attention to the franchise.
  7. I don't think Bagley was the reason Coach K moved to a 2-3 defense, Coach K just literally isn't good at coaching defense in general. I wouldn't blame Bagley for that. He has the tools to become a better defender. I also feel that with the passion and ability he has it will be easier for him to become a solid defender than it will JJJ to develop into being a better scorer. Not saying I don't like JJJ because I think he has great potential but for right now I'm going Bagley over him because of the energy he can bring on both sides.
  8. JJJ has to stay out of foul trouble to be able to play late though..
  9. I'm saying your opinion is based on an unrealistic expectation. They don't even know these players yet. It's too early to be this worried.
  10. So you're saying that because he sees 7-8 players that we'd like to get with our pick and you only see 4 that are top tier/cornerstones. Your scouting opinion is the one that holds more weight, not the guy that literally has done this for years as his profession... You would prefer him saying "We have an idea on who we want" or completely not answering the question but saying we have interest in "7-8 guys" is the deal breaker for you on if he knows what he's doing. I hope you understand how ridiculous that sounds.
  11. So you would've preferred another year of having an OK team at best and losing in the first or second round of the playoffs. Rather than possibly getting a cornerstone of the future of our team? We got 3 draft picks, we can still get a Collins type all while getting a player with a ton of potential in the top 5.
  12. I'm fine with a shoot first mentality on a point guard for now, but when it comes to actually competing in the future it's going to hurt us. Any elite PG that's a scorer is still getting more players involved than Dennis does (I.E. Westbrook, John Wall, Dame, Kyrie etc.)
  13. You do realize that if #14 can be just as good as #5 that gives him MORE reason to be interested in a number of players with our pick and not fewer players right?
  14. I would love to switch out Dennis for Gilgeous-Alexander.. that almost sounds too good to be true lol
  15. I'm all for trading him, he seems like a polarizing personality locker room wise and his ceiling looks lower by the year. There are plenty of shoot first point guards that barely play defense and struggle with 3pt shooting that we can replace him with if that's what we want.
  16. Not sure what answer you would have wanted him to give lol. We don't even know exactly where our pick is gonna be yet. No way he should already be dialed in on 2 or 3 players with all the talent in the lotto of this draft.
  17. From actually watching him play you can assume his preference is shooting over the top of defenders because obviously he's 6'10 and most defenders don't make a difference to his shot. His style is similar to KD's when he was younger, you're not going to see him try to dribble a ton as if he thinks he's Kyrie Irving.
  18. Where have you seen him not able to take players off the dribble?? In high school attacking the basket was literally a strength many acknowledged for him. Dude was averaging 37 points a game his senior season along with 14 rebounds. If you're judging him off of his high school performances he's a top 5 pick. You may want to do some homework on him before trying to belittle his talent because he's not a bad player at all. Half these dudes are 18-20 years old, they all have flaws and they'll all get better. They just need to be drafted to teams, cultures and situations that can develop them the right way.
  19. 1 - Sample size is too small for me to believe he's a bad shooter 2 - Judging from when? His not completely healthy return from a back injury?? 3 - Outside of Jaren Jackson, Mikal Bridges and possibly Bamba, you can pretty much throw poor defender on anyone. And it's the NBA, majority of young talent aren't great defenders. 4 - First of all I have no idea where you're judging this from, second not only is he not playing a position that requires him to do a lot of distributing, he's literally never been on a team that had him in a role of anything less than being the primary scoring option. He's only 19, he's 6-10, can handle the ball like a guard and finding ways to score is his strong suit. Our team lacks a player that can be a primary scorer and you want to ignore MPJ's obvious potential to be that because of some flaws you found watching him playing off an injury.....cool.
  20. You got a legitimate reason to believe he isn't?
  21. Not really, players like Wade, Bron and Steph aren't opinions I'd easily overlook in this type of situation.
  22. The fact that a number of players from other teams are giving us props for the hire is actually really encouraging. I’m excited to see what Pierce can do with us going forward.
  23. Possible? Yes. Literally any team is one big off-season of moves away from playoff contention.
  24. The Celtics didn't get what they have through tanking though. That was literally just off the terrible decision making of the Nets at the time. Outside of that they just got signings off their history and a good coaching choice. The 76ers do have 2 really good young building blocks, but look at all the went through to get them. The Bucks took a lot of down seasons but realistically Giannis is the only star player they got out of them. Raptors aren't even a young team if we're being honest, and their window isn't that wide either. I don't think any of their situations are really out of reach. 76ers definitely got a special situation but have numerous bad picks to show from it as well.
  25. As of right now none of those teams have accomplished anything. They just have potential, after a few lottery picks we'll have potential too, just got to choose the right players. Tanking earlier could have easily had us in the same position as the Magic, Kings or Suns as well. There's no guarantee where we'd be if we tanked earlier.
