Hmm interesting way to relate the two. But if the Cavs get Marion for Varejo they will be a deadly team. The Hawks def. do need to look into acquiring a more reliable player to add to the bench.

Josh has always been inconsistent. One night he will put up a double-double then following game he will score less than 10 pts. and less than 10 rebs. Thats part of the reason he had signing with a team in FA.

Thats not a very exciting stat. Maybe the Hawks should look to add some depth via a trade before this thing gets to late into the season. Mo and Flip have been pretty solid but Woody doesn't like to use Acie, Mario, Solo (anymore with Smith back) or RaMo from the bench. I think we def. need to add another established player to this bench.

All I can say is the Hawks have turned it around since the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. After dropping three straight we come back to win three consecutive games. Great effort vs two excellent teams (CLE and MIA) and a very under appreciated Charlotte team. I don't know what has sparked this team but I hope they continue to play defense, rely on fundamentals and just keep doing-whatever they are doing! What an awesome start to the season. Whoever thought this team would be 15-9?

Good post. Bibby has been pretty good this year. Despite his last two games which were miserable (SA decent end) there is no comparison to him and Lue.

I agree. How do you not run the clock and attempt to dish the ball to Al who tore it up tonight in the post against Yao and Scola. Occasionally have Horf dish it out for that 3 ball. Its simple basketball.

The hot 3pt shooting is because of Price in my opinon. But the Hawks are insanely dumb. Why does he let Josh Smith control the ball so much? And by 'let' I mean allow him. Smoove made 4 bonehead plays near the end that really hurt this team and changed the outcome of the game - taking a 3pt shot - airballing a shot - violating the shot clock trying to create a play when nothing was there - overthrowing a wide open JJ. I mean honestly get Mo Evans in at that point.

I hate to say it but the Hawks deserved this loss tonight. Yes they made a nice comeback but they virtually ended the game they way they started it. The Rockets outscored ATL 20-2. I mean c'mon! You have already allowed Houston to jump on you by 13 pts. and now you let em jump on you by 18. What it comes down the fact that JJ is forcing shots, J-Smith is taking uncontested 3's and missing them and near the end of the game there is no ball movement. Near the end of the game its always the JJ show. Nobody can or is willing to step up. Bibby just appears to dribble the ball up the court and Marvin is no where to be found. Its near impossible to when you trail 13 pts in the 1st. I can not express how important it is for this team to not allow early leads like tonight and Dallas. Goodbye Mike Woodson!

I agree. The Hawks are solid at 11-6. If you told me that we would have this record before the season began I would be a pretty happy camper. I just don't think Woody is the long-term answer. The biggest issue I have with him is he does not know how utilize bench players like Acie and Solo. He over plays Solo and uses Acie minimally.

As many know former Dallas Mavs coach Avery Johnson is currently an analyst for ESPN. I think he would be a terrific coach for the Hawks. He has experience with athletic and talented professionals like Kidd, Terry, Howard and Dirk. I don't think the adjustmenet to coaching a similar Hawks team would be too tough. Who would ya'll rather have coaching the Hawks? Avery Johnson or Mike Wodson

If we trade Acie I will be very upset. I can see him putting up similar numbers to Calderon next year. He has matured a lot. He just needs to get his shot down. I dont know why he is having such an issue adjusting to the NBA from College. He was a stellar shooter at Texas A&M.
