  1. Hello, Considering he came here in the aftermath of a 13-69 Season leaving a Suns Team that had so much potential, I really am convinced he is good as gone. Again for the early years of a 5 or 6 Year Contract, he will be awesome. However, in the later years, it is hard not to believe his game is going to regress. By the time he puts pen to paper on a Contract, he will be 29 years old with tons of minutes played. Considering we have a pretty strong core and intriguing rookie in Teague, I really think the Hawks will continue to be a Playoff Team. Hopefully, he will agree to a S&T giving us some talent in return. Cheers, JJ
  2. Hello, I do not think Dominique and JJ honestly belong in an analogy. Dominique was the heart and soul of the Hawks, loved the Hawks. JJ came here to get rich and now that he is, wants the ring. I really do not think he feels any loyalty to the Hawks. Perhaps a byproduct of being Traded so early in his Career by Boston, he seems to be more of a mercenary than a leader. When Smoove was coming up on being a RFA, I was beyond worried that he was leaving. With JJ, all I hope for is a S&T. I just do not think it is in the best interest of the Hawks to sign him to a 6 Year Max Contract at 28 with the number of minutes he has Played. Moreover, I have just read too many negative comments by him to believe he cares about the Team or the City. Don't get me wrong, he is an excellent all around Player and tough matchup with his height. I just do not believe the juice is worth the squeeze. And it seems by all reports, he feels the same. Cheers, JJ
  3. Hello, It really looks like JJ is going to be leaving Atlanta this Offseason. He certainly has not made any statements to even indicate that he is interested in staying. I would hope as team leader that he would be more positive, but he is usually the first to say something negative about the performance and direction of the Team. Nevermind the fact that he usually attempts the most shots and has the most plays called for him. I really do not understand it. The Team has steadily improved each year. Moreover, I question the judgement in signing him to a 6 year Max Contract given his age and minutes played. Every statistical projection I have come across does not bode well for his numbers in the latter years of a 5 or 6 year Contract. I honestly think a Sign and Trade would be ideal. He just really does not seem like he likes Playing for the Hawks. Cheers, JJ
  4. Hello, I really think many are being too hard on the Team. The Golden State Game was a debacle for sure. The Dallas Game was cruel as well and what Jason Kidd did was unsportsmanlike. Regardless, we are 3-2 in these past games and our Record overall is quite good considering the Payroll constraints. JJ is definitely trying to make himself look worthy of the max contract he so clearly wants. I really am not sure if I want the Hawks to sign him to a 6 Year max deal. All of the statistics I have read portend to a steep decline in the latter years of a 6 Year Deal. I also do not like all of the negativity I hear from him when the Hawks lose. Especially when he often hoists 35+ attempts with a low percentage. The fact of the matter is JJ has played a ton of minutes. While a very good Player. I truly wonder if he is a Franchise Player. I am beyond excited with Horford's ascension of late. He really is starting to put up some nice scoring numbers. And Smoove has been fantastic all year. I have completely lost hope in Marvin ever being a great player. Regardless, our core is solid and I really think we can whether the loss of JJ. Almost every report I read portends of him going to Chicago or plan B for any of the Teams that do not get Wade, LBJ or Bosh. My dream would be a sign and trade for Wade. I know there is a snowballs chance in..... Cheers, JJ
  5. Hello, It really is going to be interesting to see if JJ stays with the Hawks. As more and more teams say they would love to have him on their team, I am really wondering if he is going to be playing for us next year. All I can say is thank goodness we have Crawford signed through next year. If JJ does bolt, my personal dream would be a sign and trade for Wade or Bosh. i realize that is probably is not even possible, but with Atlanta having so much talent and a favorite city of NBA Players, we really might have a shot at a Superstar. I do get frustrated watching JJ play more often then not these days. He has amazing tools and his height makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing teams, but Iso Joe can get old. Cheers, JJ
  6. Hello, If the Heat won their Protest against our Scorekeepers, I do not see why we will not be afforded the same respect. This says nothing of the blatantly one sided officiating. I agree with everyone else, it is hard to be a fan when it feels like Teams and Players are preordained to get all of the calls. The disparity between fouls was absolutely insane. Cheers, JJ
  7. This was absolutely a protest worthy offense. I cannot believe anyone would think otherwise. Is it not enough that every foul was called on the Hawks and every call went the Cav's way?
  8. Hello, JJ is having an absolutely brutal game. Even worse, he so far only has two assists with 5 minutes left and shooting 4/14. While it seems the Media is catching on that we are a good team, the Ref's are giving us absolutely no respect. Furthermore, the Hornets are shooting lights out at the 3 Point line. (12/17) All that being said, it really is JJ's, and surprisingly Smoove off nights that is making it look like we are about to get our third loss. Then again, back to back with traveling is pretty brutal. Cheers, JJ
  9. Hello, It seems we have reverse Home Court Advantage via the Referees. I cannot believe the number of Offensive Fouls that have been called against us coupled with us getting hardly any fouls called against the Rockets. JJ really is struggling tonight as well. Hopefully he will get hot in these last 7 minutes. Cheers, JJ
  10. The 3 was shot at the end of the quarter. Not in the flow of the offense. Just an attempted buzzer beater. Cheers, JJ
  11. Hello, I really think where JJ ends up will depend on who offers him the biggest contract. Considering he came to us after we went 13-69 when he was part of the nucleus of an amazing Suns team, I really think he will follow the Dollar signs. Thankfully, we are in a position to add a 6th year and the most money, but is he worth max money? In the past, we had to overpay to get any FA to sign with us. Considering the talent and depth we have now, this should not be the case anymore. I also cannot blame FA's from wanting to be wined and dined by all interested parties. It has got to be one helluva ego boost to hear your name bellowed out at MSG and all of the other Arenas that will host him. I do think in the end, he will remain a Hawk. I certainly do not have hate for JJ. He is certainly in a tough position balancing being in a contract year and having the best teammates since Phoenix. So far, Jamal Crawford has been awesome and has allowed us to have far better spacing. I am glad that he has another year remaining on his contract. Especially with the possibility of JJ going elsewhere. This offseason really is going to be a defining one. With Woodson's contract being up along with JJ's, it really will be interesting to see what happens. Especially considering JJ has done nothing to fan down the flames of his possible departure with remarks about the Knicks and D'Antoni and the Heat and Wade. Really should be interesting offseason. There have even been reports of the possibility of LBJ coming here. Needless to say, there have been reports of him going everywhere, but we do have a solid nucleus and Atlanta is a very desirable location for players. Cheers, JJ
  12. Hello, What about the possibility of a sign and trade in the 2010 offseason? If I am not mistaken, we could give him 6 years compared to other teams maximum 5, which should at least allow us to get another high caliber player. I realize we would have to give up other players to have the cap space to do so. I am a big fan of JJ and think his size at the 2 makes him a tough matchup for other teams. His Playoff performances have been less than thrilling, but all defenses seemed to be based on double and triple teaming him. That being said, the same can be said of every teams number 1 option and his numbers in the Playoffs have not transcended into that of an elite player. I am cautiously optimistic about Jamal Crawford and think he really might add another dimension. Also, it is nice insurance if JJ leaves and we get nothing back for him. Cheers, JJ
  13. Hello, Gsuteke, could you possibly elaborate on what makes our posts "embarassing"? Short of trying to hold out hope and trying to remind myself that many Hawks road games are difficult to watch, I do not think I am ashamed of posting that. Cheers, JJ
  14. Hello, While watching the Hawks on the road is often comparable to Chinese Water Torture, are these road games really that much different than our past two playoff series? I am honestly cautiously optimistic that we are going to be a different team when we take the floor at Phillips Arena. Obviously, the injuries to JJ, Horf, and Marvin are cause for concern. However, I have a sneaking suspicion JJ is going to be a different player in Atlanta. Judging by the comments he has made, I fully expect him to suit up in Game 3. Cheers, JJ
  15. Hello, I wish LeBron no ill as well. However seeing the Second Coming of the Jordan Rules with the Lebron Rules is enough to make me sick. Simply put, the man cannot be called for a foul. He literally ran over Smoove last night and still did not get the charge. However, given how bad we have been on the road regardless, I still have a slight glimmer of hope that we at least look respectable. Do we really look any worse than all of our other road losses? It is frustrating to have no spacing, no seemingly no set plays, etc... The officiating has been disgusting. I could totally see being taken out of the game when the ref's are the sixth man on the floor. Truly deplorable. Cheers, JJ
  16. Hello, Well, sadly, Terence Moore is still insulting the Hawks: http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/05/03/hawks-b...at-but-so-what/ Realizing he was leaving AJC definitely made for a highlight of my week. Cheers, JJ
  17. Hello, While I agree that the Hawks are being underestimated, I am afraid Hollinger is usually right on with his analysis. When last year Hollinger predicted the Hawks will get the eight seed, there were no questions of his ability. He also nailed it. Cheers, JJ
