  1. Every time Josh drives on Hedo there is a foul. It might not be called all the time but he's getting fouled or scoring easy. I wish Josh could see that. If Hedo was to get in foul trouble orlando would be even more predictable.
  2. I mean if i'm eating elbows all day i start with the above mentioned tactics. Also letting guys jump and maybe land on my shoes.
  3. +1 for ron jeremy. I call him the used car saleman of the month. No offense to used car salesmen, he just looks like the stereotype.
  4. I would like to join you guys, but I'm pretty sure I'll be running very close to game time. Game time Game time Game time (darn 2k11 song)
  5. We think that because the team finished the season like they had quit, but they didn't starting in game 1 of the playoffs.
  6. If they blew the whistle the same on both ends I don't think they would need to do any of that stuff.
  7. At first I thought it was going to have special effects because it look like Durant had steam coming out of his nose at the beginning.
  8. Another thing they should try to do it stop Howard from getting the shot off when they are going to use one of their fouls. He had a ton of "old fashion" three point plays.
  9. Hey I don't know how you guys are getting your tickets but I found a deal and thought I would share. They are a little funny as you can only let them search for you, but it is a good price and there are no ticketmaster fees. Some of the locations are a little weird, but being there will be pretty fun. http://www.travelzoo.com/local-deals/deal/1560
  10. I turned my wife into a hawks fan last year and when I talk about not watching a game she scolds me. We missed one game the NO blowout and that was only because she didn't know it was a midday sunday game, now she checks for the midday game. This is the first season that I've really felt disheartened and that includes the Ryder years. I could at least looked forward to the draft then.
  11. Check the ESPN recap with about 25-26 secs left.
  12. Yeah I wonder how the league feels about throwing the ball at someone. Seems similar to punching someone to me, same intent at least. It is especially funny because this is like what happened when John Wall went after him.
  13. real big Z caught him in the face with an elbow on the way up. I think that set him off.
  14. I'm so tired of seeing 3 opposing players in the paint waiting for rebounds having to fight against no one from our team.
  15. Horford has had a bunch of bad games since the Chicago game where he took over. Maybe it is something about not having roles defined on the team or not having guys with the role to get rebounds. Seems like most of our guys are in the scoring role. Bill Simmons has an interesting article this week where he ranks teams. Basically he is talking about defining guys roles on teams. "You only need eight and a half guys to win in the NBA: five starters, three bench guys, then an 8½th man who doesn't mind playing 0-10 minutes a night and being on call if a rotation guy gets into foul trouble, gets hurt or whatever. Of those eight and half guys, ideally, you need two scorers, one ball handler, one perimeter defender and one rebounder. You need to be able to play defense. You need everyone to know their roles. You need to know who's playing crunch time and who gets the ball in those last few minutes. And you need a coach competent enough not to screw things up. That's it." Who are our guys? starters - kirk, joe, marv, josh, al bench - jamal, zaza We are missing one and a half guys. I want to put teague in there, but he gets DNP too much to really count. We look confused on defense a lot of the time. I think we have too many guys in scoring roles. The bench roles are pretty decently defined. Jamal score, zaza rebound.
  16. Josh played pretty well but I think he could sat in the post more and drove and maybe had more FTs and got their guys in foul trouble. His stats are nice tonight. Would be nice if Al could play in the post, but he just doesn't have any post moves. I think most people want to put Josh in a position to draw fouls and get their bigs in foul trouble early so they can't establish a rhythm. That's my hope at least.
  17. I've been trying to look at his shot chart, but ESPN has him lumped in with some other guys so it is hard to isolate where he is shooting from.
  18. I agree mostly, but I wonder about the truth of this article http://www.peachtreehoops.com/2011/3/31/2082263/atlanta-orlando-hawks-85-magic-82 saying that smith begged the coaching staff to put collins back in. Sitting Jamal was huge though. We haven't seen that all season, but I think he pulled Teague a little quick. Maybe he can tell Hinrich to go under screens next time to.
  19. Awesome I said the exact same thing to my wife when I saw the rebound.
  20. If you go to ESPN box score there is a shot chart and a bunch of ways to narrow down what you are looking for. It usually doesn't post until the day after the game or something like that.
  21. Maybe it does fall for him in practice and he just needs to get used to using it game time. If he could nail the floater with some accuracy man he would be tough to stop.
