  1. Zaza tries, or at least I think he tried. Or maybe he is just that uncoordinated/no idea how to play basketball.
  2. The offense is horrible, We don't have a true leadoff man (some say Prado should be there, but I like him #2 if we had a solid leadoff guy). Our power is not that great since Heyward is still young and Chipper is on the decline. Ideally, in two or three eyars our offense, if we keep everyone, should be solid. CF- Schafer 2B- Prado RF- Heyward 1B- Freeman C- McCann SS- Escobar 3B- ??? LF- ??? If Schafer can turn it around he could be a decent leadoff man. Having our 3-4 guys with power is key, and McCann adds some pop as well.
  3. The Wizards traded Jamison and Gooden for an big expiring contract, a pick, a euro wing, and a young sf...that is far from being trash. There is nothing that the hawks could have offered that would have come close to that. since the Wizards wanted to get rid of salary.
  4. nbadraft.net has us taking Garcia in their mock. There was an article in SI a while back about him, and I remember thinking he would be a nice player.
  5. That is the reason why any of the big man to Cleveland trade is going to hurt us. They will get a very good player and also get Big Z back.
  6. They had to do it though. They offered to pay him a crap load of money and make him the highest paid player in the league. He turned down offer after offer. They could either trade him now and let him be someone else's problem or keep him and lose him for nothing. But I do agree about selling the team. No one here cares about Hockey that much. There is a minor league team right down the road which should provide people with their hockey fix.
  7. I remember at the NASCAR race this past fall they had several plane banner saying that if you brought your ticket stub to either the Cheetah or Pink Pony you got in for free.
  8. It is surprising. If he stays at Duke and can continue t recruit well, then Duke could be a serious opponent. I doubt they will ever be a 10 win team, but they could be a lower bowl team.
  9. Toronto fans feel it is Karma for when we "stole" games from them.
  10. Yeah I think that is the generic generated email. Since I put referee problems down as my reasoning, I doubt i get anything. If I don't hear back I email tomorrow and so forth. I'm on a role with emailing people. Just sent one to publix for the lack of cracklings in their stores.
  11. If anybody gets a real email response and not on the generic response back, post it here.
  12. It's not hard to only score 37 points when you have been forced to take jump shots all night instead of being able to drive into the lane due to fear of being hacked and not getting a call. If you have a choice of driving to the lane, being hacked, and missing the shot or taking a jump shot. I will take the jump shot.
  13. The only thing we can do is have as many people as we can email the league office and try and bring the leagues attention to the issue at hand.
  14. Done. Mine was in between a page and a half and 2 pages in word.
  15. In the first post is a link to contact the league office.
  16. A reply would be nice. Going by the criteria that Stern outlined in his decision from that Miami protest, there was gross negligence, a non-responsive clock worker once he figured out the mistake, and the Cavs failed league mandated clock operating procedures. It did give them a huge advantage since the team was rushed to take a shot. They won't replay it because they would say that 1 possession wouldn't mean anything.
  17. They need center help badly. I guess S-Bo can provide some help there. I am hoping Pendergraph gets more pt and some chance at the 5. I need another center on my fantasy team since I only have z-bo.
  18. Unless he is being guarded by Lebron and drives against Lebron to the side that Shaq is covering. Then he tries to shoot the ball and gets blocked. If you can't hit open shots in the motion and can't hit open shots in the iso, then what do you do? I would rather go back to the motion just so we don't have 3 or 4 players a play looking lost out on the court just standing there.
  19. You say to do what is best to win games, and I think that is bring him back. I hope him feeling that he needs to take over games every night is his way of being in his contract year. Maybe if he has a new contract he will be more willing to allow other people a chance to have good nights.
  20. But now the Braves have 3 great pitching prospects in the minors with Teheran, Vizcaino, and Delgado who are 18, 19, and 19 respectively.
  21. How is schafer going to play everyday and platoon? Heyward won't be on the opening day roster because they want to delay his arbitration, just like they did with Hanson. Infante isn't good on the offensive side. He isn't a HR threat nor is he a speed threat. If a corner IF goes down then there goes our offensive power since only McClouth is a real HR threat.
  22. Because the news will only pick up the big name people, like eddie or benoit.
  23. Bay grew up in Western Canada, I can't see him coming here especially since that amount of money is less than some other teams are offering. The Mets are offering 4/65. The Red Sox offered 4/60. Bay's agent is pushing the Red Sox to offer 4/65 or possibly a 5 year deal. I can't see him taking less money to come to Atlanta. DeRosa is going to be a backup wherever he goes. If he goes to NY, he is going to play behind tex, arod, jeter, and cano. If he comes here he will be behind our starter. The difference is he can win a title in NY, or he can get a lot of playing time here with our starter's injury history. I hope that 5 man rotation isn't who you see as our 1-5 starters (in terms of jj being our 4 and hanson our 5).
  24. Byrd isn't a big bat. He has only hit above 10 homers once, last season when he hit 30. Dye of course is a power guy, but he is gonna cost a ton to bring him because of how many teams want him.
