  1. Does anyone participate in any sim leagues for basketball, using either fbb or dds (fast break basketball or draft day sports)? Basically if you don't know what a sim league is is that each player has a set of ratings and then go up against other players with those ratings. You sign players, draft, trade, set lineups and settings and such. For example here is one of my teams: http://bballsim56.com/UOSLR/rosters/roster7.htm FBB has those 5 categories and each category is made up of so many other categories. For example, inside is made up of inside scoring, jumping, and strength. Defense is made up of post defense, perimeter defense, drive defense, stealing, speed, strength, and blocking. So each of those wll have a numerical value associated with it and then combine to form a letter grade.
  2. Everyone in UFC bashes Lesnar for his pro background, however Lesnar did win the 2000 NCAA wrestling championship and finished 2nd in 1999, so he has credentials behind him. I don't see what he did as being that bad. That is who he is from WWE. Not to mention how pumped he was he beat but Mir after the first fight when the ref ignored him tapping.
  3. The Homerun derby lasts way too long. You spend basically 4 hours watching it.

    TV Shows

Love Lost, Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother. I do watch Heroes but it really isn't the same as before.
  5. Maybe now McCann will get his recognition as the real Gwinnett Golden Boy for the Braves. Duluth cranking out stars.
  6. Andersen wants a pay day above anything. He wants to come in, get a lot of minutes, then bolt for the highest offer. If he comes over and serves as one of many backups, he won't get that pay day. I am sick of hearing him say how much he wants to come over, that he isn't looking for a lot of money, and how evil the Hawks are. He needs to suck it up.
  7. If he has an attitude I say move his locker to the Dream's.
  8. Or the frosted orange. I'm not a fan of the fries though. Chiliburger is great.
  9. Never eaten at the Varisty? :no-no:
  10. Minutes is the biggest thing. Can we really give Crawford, Flip, and Teague all solid minutes? I don't think it would be a good idea to only play Crawford 10-15 minutes a game and pay him as much as he will earn.
  11. Best thing to happen to the team and best player ever are two completely different things. You could even argue that Ryan is the best thing to ever happen to the team.
  12. Andruw is still batting .250 with 40 k's as well. He isn't as fast as he once was and is hitting in a hitters park. Atlanta has always been a city where the fans only come out if you win. How many fans will legitimately buy a ticket on a glavine farewell tour just to watch the Braves get blown out?
  13. I don't consider 4/19 a significant raise over 4/16. 3 million or 750,000 a year really isn't going to break the bank.
  14. We need more intensity. Bowen gets under player's skin and pushes them over that limit. Chill isn't coming back. I doubt he signs a contract with another team just because he fears the Hawks would match it. Bowen would give us a good defensive backup at the 3.
  15. It seems that the Chill boat is long gone. He wants to be a starter, he wants to get paid like a starter, and he is pissed that the team focused on Smith over him.
  16. Here is my team: Bibby JJ Marvin Smith Horford Bench: Kapono Camby Lindsey Hunter That is basically all I use. I mainly run the offense through Josh until they double-team him, then as soon as they collapse on him kick it out to Bibby, JJ, Kapono, Hunter, or Marvin (I coached his 3-point shooting) for 3's.
  17. I have yet to find a burger in the Athens area that was better than the one i had when I was in school out in Starkville, Mississippi. Mugshots had great burgers and fries.
  18. Kinda a double-edged sword here. For us it could be beneficial to sign him now, but we might be able to get him cheaper next season as teams are more hesitant to give out big, long deals. For him, it would give him security that he could make x amount over y years, however he might not get as much than if he does well this season and gets either a pay raise from the Hawks or one from another team. I say sign him this year so you don't have to worry about the free agency minefield.
  19. Significant raise scares me. Not sure if I want to pay 6 or 7 million a year for a guy who can't play defense and is a liability with his screens and picks on offense. If it is too high this could end up like a Gadz situation.
  20. I like red. The Braves Sunday jerseys are really nice so something along those lines with a red base and the same type of accents.

    David Lee

He isn't worth what he would cost us. If a big man can't play defense, he shouldn't be payed upwards of 7+ million a year.
  22. #2 would require a lot of trust for the hawks. What's to say that that Bucks don't just say, "screw the Hawks, we got chill." You are talking about people with a lot of money worries about their money. Big time businessmen are not the most trusted people.
