  1. I do not want to trade Trae especially that we now have a coach he likes and that coach is very capable of brining out the best in Trae. Now is the time to keep our young core fairly intact to grow with coach Quinn. We should just do some minor roster improvements but under no circumstances should we move Trae. It's silly and I'm just tired of the click bait trade crap that always surrounds players on this team.
  2. Id rather have Quinn then any other coach in the NBA. He is in his prime and is a Basketball savant and everyone on the team has already bought in. No more out of date retreads or interim experiments. We got the coach we wanted and he was able to do some good things in the last part of the season to build a foundation of trust. No way would I want any other coach right now.
  3. In the NFL tanking is directly rewarded with a #1 pick, at least with the NBA a tank job does not guaranteed a #1 draft pick
  4. This time I trust Quinn and am excited for him to run things his way over Nate
  5. Crazy year but I'm ok with things, we did more then people expected and have a bright future. It was also the first season my teenage son really followed the Hawks so it was a good introduction to how frustrating ATL pro teams can be but overall this was a good year, it could have been alot worse and at the start I thought it would end up much better but them is the brakes.
  6. Yea it was a GREAT idea to let him coach out the Season, this off season will be SUPER effective now that Snyder has a real idea of the team and what he could do with them in the playoffs with little preparation. The new Front office is making some REALLY good and innovative smart moves since the Front Office turn over. It was a little chaotic when it happened and I dreaded another rebuild but this all turned out really well so far and I'm very happy with the new Front Office.
  7. Trae made a pretty historic shot and regained his playoff swag so I'll take that one
  8. You'd think that but I'd still expect the media to brush it off and try and ignore it and then next year treat us like crap.
  9. For me anyway it is Gravy time, we beat up Miami on the Road who just knocked off the #1 seed and we have made the Boston series closer then most expected and Trae got his playoff swag back. Would be awesome to take it to game 7 but I'm happy with how the season has unfolded at the end given how crazy this year was. We have something to feel good abut now and a HUGE boost in the future with Snyder and JJ emerging. Very excited for the future of this team no matter what happens tonight.
  10. With our team this year who knows? I just hope next year with a full offseason of Snyder he figured out a way to make our roster work with whatever changes we make over the off season
  11. I just dont think he is an issue and is a plus for the team. Hes a hardhat work pale guy with great leadership skills. Every team needs that so why get rid if him probably for next to nothing. Id say Hunter is more of an ups and downs issue and he is more injury prone.
  12. His worse play seems to be directly related to his finger issue. Hope he gets surgery on it.
  13. Yea probably that, Anderson and Justice were clutch I loved Matt Ryan but he should have audibled a run in the SB.
  14. Yes but pretty much different teams with different players. I'll give props to Smoltz himself but many teams he was on choked in the spotlight.
  15. Been an ATL sports fan since the late 70's, was born and raised here and have had to deal with our teams either outright sucking like the 80's or things like the 98 and 2016 super bowl, tons of Braves chokes over the years in post season and a Hawks team destined for mediocrity besides the Glorious Nique Years who still did not win it all. I've seen stars fold like lawn chairs and ATL teams collapse at the most crucial times. And while I still love the stars we've had over the years I do not recall us every having a rising superstar like Trae who not only performs under the spotlight he actually seems to play better then more pressure he is under. And ironically everyone outside of the ATL hates him and think we will trade him. Yea screw that Trae is the real deal,
  16. As annoying as this season was this win pretty much seals it as a positive for us. Miami play-in win was awesome, Last night was amazing AND we hired Snyder for 5 years at least. Being so Mid all year was frustrating but I have 100% confidence in Snyder and from wat I've seen the team has all bought in with him so the skies the limit. Any playoff where we get clutch Trae stabbing the heart of a rival is good to me.
  17. All Trae does is win under pressure, I would not want anyone in the NBA taking a last second 30 +footer to win a big game besides Trae taking that shot. 28 and 10 are pretty much HOF numbers which he does consistently in the regular season and then add in his under pressure spotlight time performances and he will probably be considered one of the all time greats when he retires. People not only seem to expect Trae to be perfect 100% of the time but they also have a fit when he pulls a rabbit out of hit hat like last night.
  18. Yea the hair splitting going on is pretty tiring, hey maybe if you did not spend years trashing Trae t not ends you would not feel bad about walking it back when he steps up and delivers in clutch. He is under such a huge and unfair microscope compared to other rising Stars in the league.
  19. For once on an ATL sports team we have a prime time player that not only does NOT wilt under pressure dare I say Trae NEEDS the pressure to perform at this best. This is pretty amazing, and as he gets older he will adjust to not NEED constant pressure but it is great that at 24 he already performs this good in the Spotlight He is like the Anti Ben Simmons
  20. I did think it was an over pay to sign Hunter. To many injuries and he does not have that decisive killer instinct that Jalen does and we are better with Jalen and Bey in rotation. Hunter need to stay healthy andvuse his size better and be more deliberate on offense.
  21. Na, mental health issues are no joke and need to be healed like any physical injury. This kind of attitude will push people off the deep end.
  22. To me this one win is a fine sendoff and proof that Quinn is the right guy for this team long term. Anything else we do is gravy. With the crazy ups and down ill take a play in win and call it good and be excited for next year.
  23. Maybe but I'd still like a division title now and again and also never a season as mid as this one please. The Miami win was cathartic so its all gravy from this point. We now though have a win where we can point to and say Quinn out coached a well respected franchise. This could be THE game where things not only turn around but Validates Quinn to the entire Roster
  24. Man Quinn is a good coach, seems to be a BB savant at times
