  1. He is 100% class and a huge asset to the team. This signing really justifies the trade, if he would have walked for more money after his contract was up that would have really hurt the team.
  2. I'm not really concerned with AJ SL play, I'm slightly concerned with how he dropped off last year after starting off great and now this is the first we are seeing of him. I guess we are all worried he will drop off like Shariff cooper did last year but at present I doubt that is much concern. If he is still having issues in the regular season with our new coaching staff then I'd sound some alarm bells.
  3. So does this mean they are still deciding if they want to keep him or not?
  4. So do people think we will keep him or flip him for something else?
  5. I'll take a real person as an owner that seems to want to win over a nameless mega corp as our owner any day
  6. Sad to see JC go, his contract and finger injury lead him to not live up to the contract so while it sucks this is probably the best long term move for both parties. Really happy DJM resigned, makes the trade for him fully worth it and shores up our starting backcourt for many years and leaves us room to work with The draft went well happy with who we got. I'm pretty happy so far and look forward to Quinn getting a full off season and him having a hand picked coaching staff.
  7. Neither, both are young with alot of promise. You keep those players
  8. Awesome. DJM has been a great leader on this team and he put his money where his mouth is. Our backcourt is set for years now and the trade for him makes more sense now
  9. Simmons had been a broken player for years now and we are the team that broke him. I wouldnt even sign him as a cheap FA let alone trade starters for him.
  10. The new front office is doing good work, TS was good but it seems he had some issues and put us in a bit of a cap bind and did not square away our coaching situation very well. I'm certainly looking forward to this season and see what Quinn can do with this lineup. I hated losing JC but given his contract his declining play and him always being surrounded by trade rumors it was probably time to move on unfortunately. I wish JC never injured his finger and he lived up to his contract.
  11. I got mixed feelings about this one that is for sure. I love Collins as a leader on the team and think he did whatever the team asked of him, however his contract was to big and his finger injury killed his progression as a shooter and he disappeared way to much during games to justify his contract. It is unfortunate it came to this but also he was rumored to be traded every week so a part of me is glad those constant rumors will be gone now. I wish he did not injure his finger and kept progressing and lived up to his pay on the court but honestly the last 2 years he did not. I hop the best for him, I'm not mad at the front office cause that was a 2 way street, we paid him to much at the same time his game declined mostly due to his finger injury. No one is at fault but it's probably best for him and the team to part ways. Would have been nice to get something more for him but with his contract their was no market for him to get a return. I do hope we use this new cap space for SOMETHING that improves the team that would lessen the sting a bit. Good luck to you John you are a great person and I hope your game improves over the years.
  12. Id try not to but if its max contract or he walks and we get nothing then Im giving him a max contract.
  13. Good for him, I'm happy with what he built here but I think the new front office is better then him just in what they have done by hiring Quinn and getting Bey. I think it was a good move to go on from him even if it was messy for a few weeks. We are in better hands now
  14. I do not want to trade Trae especially that we now have a coach he likes and that coach is very capable of brining out the best in Trae. Now is the time to keep our young core fairly intact to grow with coach Quinn. We should just do some minor roster improvements but under no circumstances should we move Trae. It's silly and I'm just tired of the click bait trade crap that always surrounds players on this team.
  15. Id rather have Quinn then any other coach in the NBA. He is in his prime and is a Basketball savant and everyone on the team has already bought in. No more out of date retreads or interim experiments. We got the coach we wanted and he was able to do some good things in the last part of the season to build a foundation of trust. No way would I want any other coach right now.
  16. In the NFL tanking is directly rewarded with a #1 pick, at least with the NBA a tank job does not guaranteed a #1 draft pick
  17. This time I trust Quinn and am excited for him to run things his way over Nate
  18. Crazy year but I'm ok with things, we did more then people expected and have a bright future. It was also the first season my teenage son really followed the Hawks so it was a good introduction to how frustrating ATL pro teams can be but overall this was a good year, it could have been alot worse and at the start I thought it would end up much better but them is the brakes.
  19. Yea it was a GREAT idea to let him coach out the Season, this off season will be SUPER effective now that Snyder has a real idea of the team and what he could do with them in the playoffs with little preparation. The new Front office is making some REALLY good and innovative smart moves since the Front Office turn over. It was a little chaotic when it happened and I dreaded another rebuild but this all turned out really well so far and I'm very happy with the new Front Office.
  20. Trae made a pretty historic shot and regained his playoff swag so I'll take that one
  21. You'd think that but I'd still expect the media to brush it off and try and ignore it and then next year treat us like crap.
  22. For me anyway it is Gravy time, we beat up Miami on the Road who just knocked off the #1 seed and we have made the Boston series closer then most expected and Trae got his playoff swag back. Would be awesome to take it to game 7 but I'm happy with how the season has unfolded at the end given how crazy this year was. We have something to feel good abut now and a HUGE boost in the future with Snyder and JJ emerging. Very excited for the future of this team no matter what happens tonight.
