Golden St. acquires $10 million trade kicker The Warriors had themselves a wonderful day yesterday. Though I don't see Brandan Wright helping them anytime soon (if at all), Golden St. made themselves a player in the free agent market by acquiring a $10 million trade kicker. They also drafted two very good players in Belinelli and Lasme. With a core group of Baron, Monta, Biedrins, role players in Al, SJax, Wright and Pietrus, plus the ability to make a move (not sure if this means they re-sign Barnes now), they could be scary this season.

I could find you 10 scouts or experts who say that very thing for every 1 who say that about Yi. In fact, I'm not sure I've even seen one scout or expert claim that Yi is the 3rd best player in the draft. But of course, Wally only needs 100 minutes of YouTube clips to be able to definitively make that claim. And where would Yi play?? Is he not duplicating a position we already have filled?? Everyone has known for some time that Walter doesn't care about the Hawks or doesn't care if they get better or succeed, he only cares about his little anti-parades and the hope that they one day become true. I need a break from all this Amare, Horford, Yi, Conley, Jack, Ridnour, Calderon talk. It's driving me crazy!! In an effort to talk about something else, name the one player who will drafted outside the top 10 in this draft you expect to succeed in the NBA. My pick is Nick Young. I think he's going to be a very good player. Extremely athletic, great scorer. I see him being in the Ray Allen mold. Solid-but-not-great with assists and rebounds, but someone who just consistently puts the ball in the basket. I also think Sean Williams will be a good player. I'll be interested to see who takes a flyer on him. The Sixers are reportedly interested.

According to the Yahoo report, Zaza and AJ will be included in the deal. It doesn't mention anything about acquiring any picks. That would make the team: Speedy/Lue JJ/Salim Marvin/Childress Smoove/Solomon Amare/Shelden/Lo I absolutely love the potential the frontcourt of Amare, Smoove, Solomon and Shelden has. I am confident that Marvin will continue to make strides and become a legit 3rd option. And we all know what Joe is capable of. So that means we have Chill, Salim, Lue and Lo to move in any deal for a PG. I'd take Calderon or Jack. I have no interest in Ridnour or Barbosa. I'd draft Kopponen if given the chance (not high on Taurean Green).

I realize that Amare to Atlanta is not a done deal and anything can happen between now and tomorrow, but I really have a good feeling that Stoudemire will be a Hawk. What does that mean for the rest of the Hawks' potential moves?? Who do they turn to at PG?? Even if the Amare trade goes down, we don't know the particulars of it. Hopefully, both Childress and Zaza aren't involved, as they would be are only legit remaining trading pieces. Would you still pursue Childress for Calderon?? Do you try in the Amare trade to get back into the back end of the first round (which would probably cost us Chill)?? Do you try to get our pick next year back?? Basically, I'm wondering what you all think acquiring Amare means for the rest of our roster moves. I'm hoping we can somehow land Calderon or find a way to draft Kopponen.
