Ingram not possible but Zion has always been the target man.

NO just doesn't have the interest atm but are always listening and you know Atlanta is talking. That's why I've been saying, everyone including JJ has to be available for the right star.

Not asking if you have been told about any specific trade framework, but what would a trade for Zion look like to you?

  2. Two different versions of a 3 team trade with NOP and the Bulls

This is NOP giving up on Zion and getting a decent return for him (not the strongest haul they can get for him, I know) & Chicago trying to get good value for Derozan before he leaves in free agency.

Apparently, Ingram wants out and this same deal works for him money-wise.

DJ, when he has the chance to run the team on his own, has seen leads disappear and offensive production become stagnant.  He is an average halfcourt offense PG.  He's good at finding his own offense with the ball in his hands, but not a good facilitator in the halfcourt.  When DJ excels in the halfcourt, he's creating and making his own shot. DJ is also good in transition as the PG.

Quin is the coach.  If he wanted to increase DJ's PG minutes, he could definitely do it.

But no coach in his right mind is going to take the ball out of the hands of a player that can generate 25 ppg from assists alone.

Reminder, this is a top 5 offense. If Quin thought we'd be even better with DJ in control, we'd be seeing more of it.

How many 3 point assist does DJ have on the year?  I need to look that up.

I just want to state that my posts are not advocating for DJ to get more PG minutes. Just throwing darts in the dark at what I think the unspoken issue might be, if there is one.

I think it is much more likely that Quin concluded the team couldn’t get Trae open catch and shoot looks on a regular basis.  Haven’t really seen us running sets designed to make that happen.  I am glad that DM has improved his jump shot with the open looks he gets playing with Trae but because they aren’t comparable playmakers and don’t have comparable gravity I don’t think there is comparable opportunity for them to get those catch and shoot looks.

Please disregard that if Snyder is calling for it and Trae is just refusing to try but I don’t see that.

I'm worried that all of that might be true. It didn't work out much early on and Trae started going off script, then Quinn just stopped calling it all together.

I have no sources, just a trend I've noticed with Trae/most NBA stars. They talk a big game about changing and adding to their game, then they revert to what they know works for them.

I'm sorry, but if DJ can't handle a little negative online criticism from fans, he's not nearly as mentally tough as I thought he was.

Surely his skin is not that thin.  Truth be told, this fan base is about 70% favorable / 30% negative on Trae.  And people have called that kid every name in the book ( inside and outside the fan base ). Skip Bayless even calls him Mice Trae, because he's small.

DJ, I thought, was a street tough kid that was a fighter.  Surely he can't be sulking because he's playing out of position ( something he had to know coming in ).

He and Trae were supposed to fight through this, and come out on the other end being the next Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars.

If it's he that asked for a trade, I'm going to be highly disappointed.

IF it is DJM that is asking for a trade, then I think the lack of "Off-ball, I played SG in High-School Trae Young" will end up being the culprit.

Trae's refusal/inability to add catch and shoot to his game is glaring when you look at DJM's shooting improvements. It feels like one genuinely tried and the other just reverted back to their old ways.

I ain't gonna even start. This thread got nothing to do with that and that's a completely different conversation that I am 100% non negotiable on

Was just trying to add some humor to a conversation that felt like it was getting a bit heated. Sorry if I added to it.
