  1. Sigh. If they flip D Lo for a player on a expiring contract, aren't they prohibited from aggregating that player in another deal for a period of time?
  2. Didn't he also have a reputation of not playing the young guys while in Utah?
  3. If true, this indicates the Hawks were/are trying to get more than a ham sammich in return for Murray.
  4. These "reports" keep getting worse with this insistence that the Hawks don't want to take any money back.
  5. Considering the situation, I understand why he was on the floor. But, Jalen should have been initiating the offense rather than Trent. The approach on offense when he was out there made no sense imo.
  6. I'll say it...on to the next one !!!
  7. Why is Trent Forrest trying to create offense?
  8. Color me shocked that Klutch is trying to help the Lakers. I wonder if they have anything to with other offers being subpar. Just doesn't smell right.
  9. Still time until the deadline, but are the offers actually going to get better even into the offseason? I doubt they're going to get two REAL first round picks and a quality starter. I think they probably can get either two first rounds picks or a player and a pick.
  10. This part. He's been professional thus far, but I don't think he wants to get the John Collins' treatment. At some point, a public trade request could come. Not good vibes.
  11. Not a trade rumor, but wow.
  12. Interesting this gets leaked while they're pursuing Murray. "Accept our deal for Murray or we'll keep flirting with Trae!!!"
  13. Welp, Scott Foster wasn't about to allow the Hawks to rally. Another really good game from DJ! On to the next one !!!
  14. I was referring to the Hawks' pick being in the lottery.
  15. I think the Hawks' calculus will be a '24 lottery pick, the Lakers' '29 unprotected first and likely a player or two is what will get them a better fit next to Trae and Jalen.
  16. I would think Brooklyn would have to part with more than Spencer Dinwiddie to meet what the Hawks are asking for.
  17. Disagree. Ressler may be a tax avoider, but he's nixed trades and traded away multiple firsts (Murray) to either keep or get players he believed will help the team win now. And Quin may like Landry and Kyle, but my guess is he doesn't answer to them and probably has more power.
  18. If Ressler and Quin have anything to say about it (they do), that pick and other assets will be traded for a veteran this offseason. We may not agree with how they do things, but we do know those two want to win now and have to next year. Even if Trae were to ask out, they're not gonna rebuild.
  19. Quin didn't come here to do a rebuild and he likely negotiated having a substantial say in player personnel. So, if the Hawks take a step back this season to get a better asset (likely), they most definitely will be using it to get an established player.
  20. According to Chris Haynes: -Feels strongly that Murray moves before the deadline. -The Hawks want two firsts AND a quality player in any Murray deal. -The Bucks are interested, but would need some help facilitating a deal. -Lakers are intersted, but the Hawks don't want D. Russell. Mostly stuff we've heard before, but what is the Hawks' definition of a "quality" player? My guess is still the Knicks or maybe the Nets.
  21. Yuck. Literally the only reason why I would be cool with DJ winding up with the Lakers would be so they could leave Trae alone. We all know Klutch wears the purple and gold and wouldn't mind getting Trae there.
