  1. Well no matter what anyone thinks positively or negatively, Josh Smith started his career as a small forward and has played significant minutes at the 3 spot for 8 years, and that is a fact. He had to gain weight to move to the 4 spot when Marvin came. I think he turned himself into such a good power forward that many can't see him back at the spot he was drafted for. I personally think Josh can play 3,4, and sometimes 5 in certain situations. And that a credit to his versatility.
  2. I've said for a while now he would be a great addition. I think he knows his role now and will provide great energy, excitement, passing and defense. I also think he would be a great compliment to our smaller guard and can play both the 2 or 3.
  3. I guarantee you this, if the mass media (ESPN, TNT with Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith) start talking about how good of a team we are and stop dissing us at every waking moment, I guarantee attendance would go up. I think the Hawks should pay the media for support. That in itself would start the sellouts to come because if people hear positive things about their team, they will get curious and want to see what's going on.
  4. Tyreke is someone we would go after. He would fit in very well in the backcourt because of his passing ability and scoring. Since Sacramento believes he is not living up to expectations but will demand a larger contact, they may just trade him. His numbers are down and they've tried him at various positions last year. I think he needs a change of scenery and will be a elite player in this league. Just work on that jumpshot.
  5. I think we are going to get Tyreke Evans in a sign and trade next season.
  6. True, but that's how it has always been with players wanting to come here and I think Ferry knew that already. But for the first time in history, I've not only heard from fans that we are going in the right direction, but by the experts too. We didn't do good in free agency but no one really though we would anyway. But the majority agree that we are going in the right direction. That's bad around here! That is what changes cultures and that is what attracts players!
  7. IDK about James Harden but I do know OKC can't pay all those players. So one of their top players will not be there unless they take a pay cut. We should also focus on Denver and Utah.
  8. Just like what happened with Danny Manning leaving us the next year(BTW I was so pissed when they traded Dominique for Manning, I was like "For Danny F'ing Manning" LOL).... I still have nightmares about that move.
  9. I don't think the sky is falling either.
  10. Some of the comments I'm reading are true, but it is amazing how everyone seems to have given up just because we didn't get Dwight. Amazing!
  11. Look guys and gals, Orlando has been in the poor house for a long time with Dwight being there and I'm not surprised at all that they just want to rebuild. They didn't want to pay for Horford, Josh, ZaZa, Devin, or any other combination of your players right now because they are pretty much broke. I look at this as a opportunity to start building our team while still winning. It will not be easy and I'm sure that Ferry will make some questionable decisions but we will get to where we need to be sooner than most think. Let's build a culture and atmosphere that will have people wanting to be here. That includes players and fans. The Hawks need to work on their image first if they ever want to be an elite team.
  12. I think we should still try and keep Smoove and let him know how needed he is. We still have a 35-40 win team and just need a few pieces to get to where we need to be. So I said this is a ongoing process and now is the time to start the journey. Since we have to face the reality that not many big names will come here, we have to look at trades and draft picks. We have the tools to do both.
  13. Of the entire list Terrence Williams is the one who has the best chance to go to the next level. The players on every team he's played for love him. For some reason he can't get the coaches to keep him or he's always the odd man out.The coaches in Sacramento raved about his passing and athletic ability, but his attitude must still need adjusting.
  14. I doubt it. I think the players he wants to trade are not due to be traded yet!
