  1. It's time for the new ownership or new investor to be in place. Here's the reason...

Doc's contract expires in the offseason. He's holding off talks with Ainge. He says that he wants to spend more time with the family. That's coach code for "I want to way my options". IF you don't believe me listen to Woody, Nellie, or Rudy T. .. Even Lenny. IF you are a coach, you want to be somewhere coaching!

Rivers is not blind, he has an aging team that has already reached it's peak. They have reloaded a bit by getting Green and Rondo, but without replacing the big three, this team is on it's way back down.

He knows the talent that we have. I think he would love to coach his former franchise.. in the south. The only job that could rival this one for him is Orlando or Miami.

Saying your're reaching would be an understatement. Why would Doc want this mess of a team? That would be like going from a Marine corp General(tough as nails), to a girl scout leader(bunch of wussies). Think I'd take my chances with Rondo and Green. Go from there. Not to mention FA's WANT to play in Boston.
  2. Josh had a nice 3 qtrs but once again he sabotaged the win with his rainbow jump shots in the 4th qtr. He also looked uninterested on defense in the 4th.

You'd look disinterested too, if you'd played damn near the whole game. 7 man rotation? What a joke of a coach that LD is.
  3. Maybe a little bit but it's still a dysfunctional roster with among the worst point guard situations in the league, an overpaid quasi superstar with no killer instinct, a 'tweener with no true position playing power forward, and a power forward playing center. Not exactly what you'd draw up if you were starting a team from scratch.

pg situation would be fixable with a "real NBA coach". As for the rest of the roster????? Just a lot of question marks.
  4. This team is getting swept regardless. :blackeye: :blackeye: :blackeye:

Especially since LD has gone Woody like with a 7 man rotation. Clown. And for the love of God, would somebody please tell LD that JAMAL IS NOT A PG. Bender, Hill, VanExel, Anybody. How bout Jamal himself. Omg!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. You get what you pay for. It wouldn't matter. Any coach willing to be the cheapest paid coach in the NBA wouldn't hardly be any better then Drew.

"You get what you pay for". Not true. Joe makes max money, but plays like a mid level player. And why is everybody so upset? At least we get to look forward to the draft and get to see what JC2 can do next year after Jamal is gone. Oh yeah, my bad. Forgot we traded JC2 and our 1st rdr. Darn it........................................
  6. We have the tools to beat the Heat: good defenders for both James (Marvin and Damien) and Dwayne (Kirk and Joe). They don't have inside presence and can be outrebounded and outscored in the paint.

They are one of the best teams in terms of playing the passing lanes and turnovers are serious issue for the post trade Hawks. LD needs to address this in his game plan.

But knowing LD, Damien will get a dnp-cd, and he'll have Jamal guarding Wade.
  7. I still prefer LD over Woody but his use of Jamal is pathetic. In fact, that may be Woody's stronger points is he knew how to use Jamal. If you're going to put him on the court for an extended period of time then he better be scoring. If he's not then you're digging a hole because he does NOTHING on defense. Tonight he was also doing Nothing on offense so why not have a defender in there?

Another thing, if you're going to post a guy up to draw a double team then you have to do something when he kicks the ball. At one point Josh draws a double in the post, kicks to Joe who just puts the ball on his hip until the defense gets lined back up. WTF!!!!!

    I prefer NEITHER.

  8. ....and this is why box score stats don't even tell a quarter of the story.

Agreed. And who wouldnt be tossed around or expendable when Rose and Wall were in front of you?(both #1 OVERALL picks btw). How can you not like having two good pg's after watching Bibby deteriorate is beyond me. Same people that luv Jo Craw are the same people that said Sund is awful at drafting. LMAO!
  9. I dont like Kirk at the 2 either, but at least he can hit a freakin shot. Cant say that about JJ right now. Maybe sliding to the 3 will boosts Joe's game. Anything's worth a try. And I think I'd rather see Jamal at the point, than Marvin startin, so.....

  10. The problem's not really "starting". The issue is who runs the point after the 5 minute mark and Jamal comes into the game?

    Hinrich. That's why I'd go Teague/Joe/Damien/Josh/Al with a benh of Hinrich/Jamal/Marvin/Zaza/Hilton/Collins.

Give us a break, when's the last time we had a point guard have a good offensive and defensive performance in one game?

    Mookie Blaylock maybe? lol!
  11. I'm going with LD at this point just because we saw what Woodson's inability to adjust did to the team. At the same time LD's apparent lack of a spine is going to kill the team as well. Essentially we've gone from a statue coaching the team to a jellyfish.

What this club needs is a motivator and tactician who has the stones to tell the players it his way or no way.

    Laimbeer perhaps?
  12. When Horford returns, I think this makes more sense (starters on left):

PG - Teague and Hinrich split

SG - Johnson and Crawford split

SF - Wilkens and Williams split

PF - Smith and Horford split

    C - Horford and Zaza/Collins split

But this doesn't mean we always have to sub 2-3 people at a time always - might be better to stagger the subbing than put in a second unit ...

Thats what Id go with too, but for some unknown reason, LD thinks Jamal is a pg. And now he's trying to play Kirk at sg.
  13. I thought Josh was the one clapping his hands to get Kirk's atttention to pass the ball to him.

Thats exactly what I saw. Glad Kirk ignored him. Need him inside, not on the perimeter. Good for Kirk. Josh was prolly just trying to pay him back. Btw, Jamal prolly fed their heads with a lot of b-s*** about Hinrich before he even arrived. They didnt get along in Chicago.
