I'm currently watching this live on the WatchESPN app. Had no clue any of them would be on here, just happened to notice the upcoming scheduling after I finished watching the World Cup finals.
You guys all seem to assume the only benefit of the trade is financial flexibility. Did Bud and Ferry give you this info themselves? Or are y'all just assuming the truth of what you think to be obvious?
I think you're looking at it wrong. These days I often find myself telling people, "Buying something you don't really want is a waste of money." None of us know how the Hawks rated Bebe. Or Lou for that matter, but especially Bebe. If the Hawks genuinely believe Edy is a better prospect than Bebe, parting ways is the right decision. And if Coach Bud told Ferry that Lou wasn't doing it for him, who are we to say getting rid of him was a bad call?
I think the most important question about Schröder right now is whether he can cover Mack's minutes. That would allow us to cut ties with Mack and use that money elsewhere. Might be too late in free agency to maximize that value though.
First a Lamar Odom thread, now a Beasley thread. What is it about castoffs with drug problems that makes some of you guys think they'd be good signings?
I'd agree about Pero, but in some ways it was his first time in the NBA spotlight. That might have had him at least a little shook.
Or hey, maybe it was just a really poorly timed slump, who knows?
I typically stop listening when someone says "eye test" and/or tries to tell me they don't care what the stats say. Sorry, @JTB. You seem like a genuinely awesome fan but sometimes your eyes deceive you.
Sigh...
Okay bud, prove it. Show me the numbers that say Korver is a poor defender. You can start with D rating if you don't have any better ideas.
Don't worry, I'll wait. Apologies can be posted here or sent to my inbox whenever you get around to it.
Nope, it was perfectly clear so you're good to go @hawksfanatic. I didn't click on the link until after not one but TWO replies. It all makes perfect sense after reading.
FA season has me a little manic, my apologies.
I can't find a source right now but it was revealed after the finals that he was playing with a major injury. I want to say it was a broken bone or a stress fracture of some sort.
If I understand the implication here, we could use all $11 millionish of our cap on another FA and then use a couple of our exceptions to cover Thabo and Kent.
Seriously dude. Spreading misinformation about such a major accusation is appalling. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Garbage posts like this remind me that spending too much time on message boards probably kills brain cells.
